It is a beautiful park, located right on the banks of the Sarthe, not far from the wall of the Cité Plantagenêt. The place is calm and relaxing. It's a great place to walk or relax in the shade of a tree. It’s a great parkour training location for Le Mans Parkour 72, the local association.

A small park where you can run or walk alongside the river under the imposing and characteristic brick walls of the medieval city.

Small park on the edge of the Sarthe, very pleasant for strolling in front of the water which passes peacefully. On one side you will have the chance to admire the ramparts of the Plantagenêt city in very good condition (especially given their age) and on the other archaeological remains.

If our town hall would still make these spaces free and open to all, that would be ideal. Waste management is lousy (it is the municipal employees assigned to green spaces who, in addition to taking care of the landscaping, must manage the waste.) The toilets are only open when the tavern is open... because they are assigned to this private place. Nothing is done to make Sarthe residents feel welcome in their capital. The park has a real charm, people meet there to enjoy the few rays of sunshine that pierce the Sarthe sky. No offense to local residents, this space is one of the rare ones where you feel neither observed, nor judged, nor with limited income.

The garden has nothing exceptional in itself except its proximity to the Sarthe and the remains of the old medieval rampart. But in summer it's a very pleasant place where many people come together thanks to the tavern!

The little walk with the children between the ramparts and the Sarthe was fun! An atypical decor!
