Great restaurant in the old city that we visited for lunch. Quality was great, food was delicious, and dessert was also very good. I asked for the steak à point, but received a slightly overcooked steak. Overall, that didn't ruin my experience because the restaurant was clean and the interior was nice. The waitress was also very kind and polite. Didn't feel rushed, food and drinks came exactly when we thought they would and didn't take extra long. Really good value and recommend if you're looking for a lunch or dinner in the old city. You can sit outside or inside with the inside having 3 floors.

I am dining here at this moment. Felt the need to share this immediately than later. Had Caesar salad and escargots for starters. Salad was good. The salad was lightly sauced and tossed, unlike others which were dense and creamy. Special mention to the crunchy croutons and crispy fried shallots. I had the pork cheeks casserole. My partner had the beef skewers. The pork was tender and piping hot when served. The mashed potato that comes with it was simply amazing and mind blowing. Service was good and prompt despite us being Asians. The staff can speak basic English so it is very helpful. This place feels very local and it was quite packed for lunch. This rustic place is a must to visit if you are at Le Mans.

Excellent ambience, wonderful food at very reasonable prices. Recommend the menu gourmand. Lots of choice to suit every palate.

We found it thanks to the good reviews, so wanted to check it on our way from Normandie to the Loire valley. It was better than our expectations. Really nice staff, kids enjoyed their kids meal, which was really good food for a kids meal. My wife and I really enjoyed our meals too, good products, well cooked. The very old and traditional building only adds to the charm, we can not recommend this place enough to fellow travellers.

Came here back in 2019. Returned in 2023. Both times amazing.. Looking forward to returning again!

I can say that I have been going there for about 13 years or so , never had any problems, only compliments. Last Saturday was the worse time I've ever spent there. We were greeted by a "speedy Gonzales of a chef de salle/service" who was extremely disrespectful, unprofessional and out of line/control. When we got there, we prepared our "pass sanitaire" to show her, she told us that she was going to check it later. SHE NEVER DID thus putting ALL of us in jeopardy. From unpleasantly talking down to people to going as far as throwing the utensils that we asked for on the table. When I had enough of her behavior, I asked to speak with the manager, she stated that she was in charge and to go sit down almost just as if I was her child. I did ask her to NOT return at our table and to let us finish our meal STRESS FREE. At least she respected that and sent us other beautiful souls. All of the other colleagues were excellent and very professional. As we were leaving, she was downstairs, we said goodbye to her and her colleague, she didn't even bother acknowledging us. I called the restaurant this morning, spoke with someone who told me that they were aware and somewhat denied that the allegations ever took place and NEVER even bother to apologize. The reason for this LOW review is to put management on guard to make sure that sanitary rules are there for a reason and a "chef de service" busy or not should NEVER EVER behave as such. Besides that, the food is and has always been excellent except this behavioral problem.

Like every other review here, the food is superb. Great value for the quality of food/drink you're getting. The cellar creates a moody atmosphere at the expense of an adequate temperature (mid-September). While they did their best to counteract this problem with ceiling and floor standing fans, it was just too hot for us to completely relax afterwards. Other than that, best foodie experience we had in Le Mans.

We visited for Wednesday Lunch, the €12.90 menu was very good, we had Caesar Salad for our main course. Good food and service. Open for lunch 12:00 to 13:30

A 5 star experience. A restaurant that manages to surprise you. Every detail well excecuted from the butter to the house kir. The steak was an impressive experience. Great service too from the young and personable team. Congratulations.

Food and staff made for a great date night. Wonderful three course meal and we were checked on regularly, the food came out amazing each course. So glad we got in with no reservation it was very full by the time we left, so try to make a reservation if possible.

We have eaten in this restaurant before and been more than happy with the food . we had booked a family meal for ten people purely for the menu we had in fact telephoned twice to confirm dates /times on the second call the member of staff spoke excellent English and confirmed as we asked , my husband overheard the entire conversation we arrived at the restaurant at arranged time to be told that our reservation was for two hours later(9.30) having four young children in the party we would never of considered booking this late The staff at the desk at this point became rude , but then said we can offer a solution ?? we were taken down the road to another of there restaurants where strangely a table for ten was already set up.. although the staff were great the food was below par and a completely different menu We own a chambre d'hote /gite business here and have sent many people to you over the years this will not happen again we are removing your cards from the gites today and will not set foot inside again

My favourite restaurant in Le Mans. The place looks like a luxurious ship its very nice inside. The food is top class and the prices are genuine for the quality you get. If you are in Le Mans I recommend you try this restaurant you won't regret it. The people working there are very professional and speaks perfect English. Due to limited places pre booking is recommended especially during weekends.

I might just be a dumb American tourist, but this is the best meal I have ever eaten hands down. I highly HIGHLY recommend the pig's cheek casserole. They were busy as can be with this being the 24h race weekend and were still able to serve us without a reservation with a very short wait. Beware however, this meal exploded all my tastebuds rendering all other food tasteless. 6/5 stars
