After
coming
to
Leicester
for
the
first
time
we
came
into
the
Friary
for
a
coffee
and
felt
it
would
be
a
good
place
for
dinner
that
evening.
After
explaining
we
would
have
a
16year
old
with
us
and
booking
a
table
for
730
(which
the
staff
told
us
was
fine
before
8/830)
we
headed
back
that
evening.
Unbelievably
we
were
refused
service
as
our
daughter
was
with
us
(even
though
we
made
a
point
of
checking)
After
speaking
to
the
manager,
it
was
clear
that
not
only
were
the
staff
poorly
trained
and
unaware
of
policies,
but
the
manger
was
rude,
unaccommodating
and
confrontational.
It
goes
without
saying
that
we
left,
my
daughter
in
tears
and
a
very
very
dim
view
of
The
Friary.
If
you
want
my
advice
stay
away
because
if
the
food
is
like
the
people
who
run
the
restaurant
it
will
leave
a
very
bad
taste.
