I’ve gotten a raw burger three times here. Really nice staff, but those burgers we’re almost alive.

It gets crowded on busy days but it’s great to meet with friends and socialise! Also nice to sit at the terrace by the water!

We tried the Waag first, had to wait to be seated but after about 7 minutes nobody came so we left. (It wasn't that busy either). Anyway, immediate attention at Einsteins. food was tasty (we had a chicken club sandwich and a warm spicy chicken on a multigrain roll) it is more a bar / cafe than a restaurant but very nice and good location

The food was really good, I really recommend the Einstein Kapsalon. Service is alright, but there was one girl in particular that wasn't very polite. After we requested to move tables she quickly assigned us a new table and ignored our comment about the weird smell. Other staff seemed really nice though.

Great location with pretty good food and great staff. Normally i dont like sauce but the salsa on the tacos where very good.

We had dinner at Einstein on a sunny and very busy Friday evening. We got our drinks in just a few minutes and also our food was quickly delivered. Great service. And by the way...tasty salads and a juicy burger.

Great location to sit outside in summer and watch the boats passing by on the grachten. Staff was super friendly. But the food was really disappointing. Burger arrived cold and the meat was completely overcooked. Other friends had similar negative experiences... there are certainly better restaurants in Leiden.

I will NEVER go back to this place and neither will my friends!!!! We were mistreated by a waiter simply because we wanted to split the bill. Splitting the bill is literary called "going dutch" so why does a dutch bar that attracts many groups of students not split the bill for its costumers??? If that was all, I wouldn't give this place 1 star, but apart from that the waiter was super rude and told us to stop bothering him so he could go back to work when we had given up on splitting and only wanted to see the check. Terrible place, especially for internationals, never setting foot there ever again.

Another little gem for coffee and cake beside another beautiful little canal. You can spend quite some time sitting outside watching boats on the canal.

Whenever I am in Leiden I always visit this Pub! My opinion on Einstein is unchanging! There is always friendly service and delicious food :)

Had a quick coffee one morning. Staff were exceedingly friendly. Beautiful view sitting out on the street. Excellent value mornibg coffee at €1,50 a cup. Very pleasant little place

Such a nice view by the river in Leiden and very tasty plate consisting of all kinds of Dutch finger foods for a fair price

Great place to stop for lunch while visiting Leiden. With outdoor seating overlooking the canal, the food (pork satay and warm goat cheese salad) was delicious and the drinks, including their home brew beer was refreshing. Only downside is the atmosphere was a bit loud but otherwise outstanding.

Amazing place to enjoy the canals of Leiden & sunlight together. The food is delicious, service is fast. I've enjoyed every little second.

Having lunch and a cider on water! They made it so you can sit on a floating floor and enjoy the sun, food and drinks.

Very cute place! You can either eat/drink outside or in. We ate inside as it was a bit chilly. We were having a day out looking for wedding apparel for my Step Daughter with her Mom and sister. We had a cheer with prosecco 1st (she said yes to the dress!), which was very nice! We ordered our lunches (tuna sandwich, 2 chicken club sandwiches and a carpaccio sandwich) all were very good. Service was top, very friendly staff and great service. Prices very reasonable and portions large. Really reccomend this lovely little restaurant on the canal. I would definitely go again!

We feel lucky to have food and drinks in the Einstein Restaurant in Leiden in open area. It is an unique experience which we shall remember lifelong. Food, services and atmosphere all are superb. Dine on the bank of canal of Leiden amidst many more enthusiasts is nothing short of dream experience. We shall visit again.

Nice place along the canal in Leiden. Goos vibes from all the people and the staff, always friendly. Nice selection of beers and food. I suggest especially the fried cheese. Nice view of the near church.
