Terrible
store
they
do
not
believe
in
our
troubles
with
the
Fossil
Gen
5e
and
Google
wear
app
on
iOS
platform.
The
lady
said
she
had
never
heard
of
this
issue
before
??????
We
wanted
to
return
Fossil
gen
5e
(amazing
watch
actually)
because
the
watch
just
randomly
disconnected
three
times
from
her
iphone
11
(latest
iOS)
(Phone
tested
with
all
polar
H10
heartbeat
sensor
and
JBL
Bluetooth
headphones
and
Mazda
CX
bluetooth
system
and
our
Bose
set
and
her
Polar
A370
)
They
accused
my
wife
of
“doing
it
wrong”
!!!!
Please
give
me
a
break!!!
It
just
stops
working
out
of
the
blue(tooth).
Personally
she
went
nuts
trying
to
reconnect
this
watch
back
to
the
wear
app.
I
took
over
since
I
am
a
expert
in
IT
Networking
and
WiFi
and
bluetooth
and
computers.
I
work
with
Cisco
networking
devices
for
18
years.
After
reading
the
forums
(Google
wear
OS
forum
and
Reddit
forum)
I
realized
the
only
way
to
reconnect
is
a
factory
reset
(deeply
explained
below
this
review)
Three
times
(With
her
iPhone
11
in
5
days)
we
were
forced
to:
1)Disconnect
the
watch
out
the
wear
app
2)Factory
reset
the
watch
(after
2
hours
of
modifying
and
preparing
it
with
personalized
apps
and
preferences)
3)deinstall
the
wear
app
4)delete
the
Bluetooth
cache
of
the
iPhone
11
(means
removing
all
old
instances
of
the
Fossil
watch)
5)Shutdown
iPhone
for
at
least
30
seconds.
6)Install
the
wear
app
7)Fully
charge
the
watch
to
100%
8)Add
a
new
watch.
9)Personalize
the
watch
for
at
least
two
ours.
10)
Connected
it
to
my
own
iPhone
SE
2020
edition
with
latest
iOS
and
the
same
issue
occurred
after
a
few
hours.
11)If
you
do
not
follow
the
above
steps
the
watch
will
not
even
connect
to
the
wear
OS
app
for
a
new
installation
at
all
or
it
will
freeze
middle
in
the
installation.
12)Even
following
the
above
sequence
this
will
make
it
connect
again
but
this
cost
so
much
time
to
customize
and
install
everything
and
you
will
end
up
with
a
disconnected
device
soon
anyway.
On
Wednesday
the
watch
just
disconnected
again
in
the
evening
(after
we
came
back
from
our
office
gym).
We
tried
everything
from
the
app
to
reconnect
but
only
for
some
short
while
it
was
connected
to
disconnect
again.
The
watch
gave
an
popup
alert
that
she
needed
to
confirm
again
if
she
wanted
to
answer
the
phone
with
the
watch
despite
but
the
app
would
not
connect
at
all.
When
I
read
the
(App
store)
reviews
about
wear
OS
I
realized
the
issue
relates
to
Apple
and
Wear
OS
or
is
just
caused
by
one
of
the
two
(If
Apple
would
deliberately
causing
this
I
would
not
be
surprised)
There
are
literally
340
complaints
about
the
exact
same
issue
that
we
have
on
two
iPhones!!!!!!!!!!!!
If
you
do
some
basic
googling
you
will
find
hundreds
of
people
with
the
same
issue.
The
watch
manufacturers
point
to
Wear
OS
or
to
the
user
and
Wear
OS
points
to
Apple
or
iPhone
or
the
user.
All
of
them
come
with
these
stupid
basic
troubleshooting
steps
that
are
totally
not
helping
and
are
just
to
retarded
to
listen
to.
We
are
not
going
to
take
a
Apple
watch
so
there
is
no
option
left.
Now
we
are
stuck
with
a
200€
Fossil
gift
card
instead
of
our
money
back.
