First off. Any place that exploits pet owners I have no respect for. The pet fees were were just as much as the room fees for the night. That is rediculous and for this reason alone will never come back here or anywhere owner by this brand again. The room when we walked although clean smelled horrible. We went to make food and only had one fork, spoon, and knife. Really??? All in all this was a not so great experience and again to exploit pet owners like that I have no respect for this company and I'll do what I can to see them out of business.

The hotel wasnt far from my work location I wanted to be comfortable and nearby. Great hotel and overall accommodating for my needs. @Melissa was Great she made sure I had the right room and was a friendly face to see each day passing through. The snacks & gummies were a big hit when passing the lobby at the right times too 😋 ...

I cannot say enough great things about this place. My house had a carbon monoxide issue in the middle of the night that required us to vacate. Not only did this hotel take us at 3 AM but they set up the pack n play in my room for my 1 year old daughter so I could get her back to sleep quickly. Loved the room- perfect for traveling with kids (separate door for after the baby went to sleep) AND our dog! Thank you so much for keeping us safe!

The lady who checked us in and was working the night we got there was amazing. Rooms were clean . We will be back. The only complaint is the parking charge. Come on owners . That is the dumbest thing ever!

Everything was good accept for the fact our room was so damp at all times. Our clothes, the table and chairs, and even the sheets and towels seemed damp always. A small Continental breakfasst would have been nice since there not near any restaurants.

We usually stay here when visiting family, and have recommended it to other out of town relatives. The staff is great and accommodating. My only complaint during our last visit was that the room was not as nice as our prior visits (pretty run down), and the hotel was overrun due to an EDM concert at the fairgrounds. I only wish they would have put the concert-goers on the same floor(s) together and put "regular" guests in a different area. The halls reaked from all of the pot smoking that was going on, and the partying was non-stop. They broke the elevator, and to the hotel's credit, it was repaired in a timely manner. Overall, the hotel is a great value and we love the staff. I just hope the next time they have a crowd like they did, they segregate the groups so everyone can have a good visit.

Pretty good place, stayed here 2 months as I had a school in Great Lakes. My only major gripe is the internet connectivity here. Constantly up and down. It's 2023, come on!

Was in town for a navy boot camp graduation. Great rates, quick and friendly service, the room was clean, bed was SO COMFY, water pressure was amazing, and awesome kitchenette in the room! Bonud, 10 minutes from the base and restaurants and shopping! If I'm ever back in the area there's no question where I'll stay.

For the price and location the hotel is actually pretty great! Nothing to complain about that's for sure. While it's no luxury, it's clean and nice.

was a little nervous about staying here because I’ve never heard of Sonesta hotels but I really liked this stay. The staff was amazing! Super friendly and accommodating to our requests! Perfect for what we needed!

Was very impressed for the price, the room was clean and comfortable with a nice kitchen space. All the staff I encountered were very friendly and helpful. I'll definitely stay here if I'm in the area again!

The girl at the front desk named Delaney was amazing ! I have never received better hear from someone in a hotel! My brother stayed there and had some medical issues and she was just so unbelievably sweet and accommodating! I wish there were more people that work in a customer service industry like her!

5-star customer service from Missy each time I have checked in here. She is kind, warm, welcoming, and very helpful with any question I've asked of her. In addition to Missy's excellent customer service, I have most appreciated the free laundry (washers AND dryers are free of charge as of the day this review is posted), and I have also appreciated the free popcorn as well. Each room is equipped with a good-sized refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, electric range, kitchen sink, toaster, pots, pans, utensils, can opener, and laundry basket (in the closet). There is no breakfast offered, but free coffee is offered on the 1st floor in between the workout and laundry rooms and snacks can be purchased along one of the laundry room walls. Clean room and bathroom. Would recommend for anyone staying in the Libertyville area.

We are in town for our son's graduation from Navy Bootcamp. Amanda (the GM), after a hard day of looking after her guests and supporting her team made our check in seamless and extra special with some local treats. After a long day traveling from Florida, the extra touch was a smile inducing moment that touched us all. We asked for suggestions on a place to eat and she gave us a wonderful suggestion that hit the spot. This is the kind of service that distinguishes Sonesta from other properties. We're glad we chose this as the first of many more Sonesta stays to come.

Excellent stay for the most part. Very friendly front desk and well maintained hotel considering that’s it’s a bit older. Only knock is we never got our room serviced in 2 weeksish time (I get staffing shortages but 2 weeks is a while). A little annoying with all the pets as some barked excessively and the stairwells constantly smelled like wet dog but I do enjoy being able to bring my pet here if I had to. Some of the other guests were not very considerate (weed smoking indoors, hogging all the washers etc). However this is obviously not the hotel’s fault. Would stay again.

Doesn't even deserve the star nor my hard earned money. My whole entire stay was nothing but harassment and disgust by management. Never once we my room cleaned by housekeeping even when I asked them for it but still never did it the once a wk that they told me I needed to request for. I had to change my own lines and towels and kitchen stuff I also had to wash the stuff because I wasn't always given the stuff. Tried to get my money back from the bank they said I had to go through them. Their customer service line isn't helpful either. They didn't need to talk to management about my claim and they could've given me back my money because of the disrespect and disgusting service that I received there. I feel bad for the front desk ladies that they have to deal with horrible managers. They should never had gotten my money. I should've gone and stayed at Extended Stay where they have bigger rooms and better kitchens and better service.
