Review for the restaurant. We had the best experience for our first afternoon arriving into Lisbon. Our server was fantastic when we asked just to ‘try a few ports’ he knew exactly what he was doing and had amazing knowledge. They were all delicious. We had some snacks as well which were perfect. Bread, olives and croquettes. Also had live music which was a great addition. Can’t recommend it enough!

Warm welcome and sat quickly. Meat and cheese platter very tasty. Seafood rice main course did not disappoint. Both wines were well priced and excellent quality. The manager appeared very serious but that hid an underlying warmth and professionalism. I am due back in Lisbon later in the year and will definitely return to Grape & Bites.

Came here on Saturday night (our first night in Lisbon) based on the good Google review score. Got seated by a waitress who "told us off" (taken at the time as a light hearted joke) for not having a booking. Restaurant was half empty and they had a staff member out on the street enticing people in, do i got a mixed vibe. It was very hot inside despite the aircon going, vibe was pleasant with live music going. 10 minutes went by, we had decided on a nice bottle of wine and dishes, but noone came by to take our order. When I tried to catch an eye of the waitress who seated us, she just shook her head at me. Fine, I thought, this happens, something might be occupying her I thought. We caught attention of another waitress who told us we can't order wine with her, but she encouraged us to order food. 20 minutes in still no water or wine order to be received by anyone in the excruciating heat and humidity they seated another couple next to us at the same table. We didn't mind, of course, despite several tables being free (the couple of ladies seated next to us enquired about, but got told they were réserved). Eventually we were able to order our drinks. Food came out. It was fine. Nothing to write about. The service however let it down majorly. Having come down from North of Portugal, this was the worst service experienced. Lastly the "reserved" tables didn't fill by the time we finished our meal and bottle of wine ~90 minutes. So.. 3 stars.. Nice, but not really, the service I enjoyed at other highly reviewed places.

This excellent wine bar boasts a respectable assortment of local wines. Our visit was solely for the wine experience. The staff was not only well-informed about the wines but also very attentive. The addition of live music after a certain hour enhances the ambiance beautifully. I've revisited this place and look forward to stopping by again on my next trip.

Fantastic restaurant wine bar. Very cozy and romantic but not pretentious. The food is wonderful, we enjoyed the shrimp and chorizo. The sommelier is excellent, he listened to our taste and came back with wonderful wines from around Portugal. We were able to make a reservation earlier in the day and it was full the entire time we were there (8pm on a Monday night). We were seated next to very interesting fellow travelers and had nice conversation. There was also a jazz vocalist setting a wonderful ambiance.

Not rating the hostel, just the grapes and bites. The wine and port selection are fantastic. The staff were exceptional. If you are a wine or port lover, you will have a hard time finding a better place to drink than here.

We have eaten here on several trips to Lisbon. The food is absolutely solid...simple but really well done. The wine choices are extremely well thought out...let them walk you through the Portuguese wine regions and make it a terrific wine/food experience. We will be back!

Attentive service and great wine. We ate here for dinner and happy hour. The live music was solid. A lot of English covers on acoustic. Octopus was good. Serving could have been a tad bigger. Enjoyed the cheese plate, stuffed peppers and mushrooms. If we come back, I’d go back for the wine suggestions!

We came here a couple of times during our stay in Lisbon and really loved it! The list of Portuguese wines is extensive, and most options are available by the glass, so it’s great for tasting. The sommelier is friendly and knowledgeable and really makes an effort. There’s a regular programme of live music and the tapas are delicious too. Very nice atmosphere overall.

A fantastic wine focused restaurant with attentive service and delightful contemporary live music. The staff was very attentive to us and our one year old as we wandered in from the street. Unlike every other restaurant in this neighborhood they made no attempt to coax us into the restaurant. The portions were substantial and the seafood sublime. An excellent restaurant.

Amazing place for dinner! So far - the best in Lisbon for us! Waitress Sonia and somelier (didn't ask the name) are very kind, friendly, knowledgeable, and give you the best advice! Once you enter the restaurant- you feel like you are surrounded by friends! And food and wines are super tasty. Totally recommend! You get much more than what you pay for!

Had a delicious lunch at Grapes & Bites yesterday. Located in atmospheric side street, got great wine recommendations and the food was really well prepared, reasonably priced and delicious. Varied menu. I had shrimp, peppers stuffed with cheese and fantastic french fries. My wife had a cheese plate that could have fed two people. Pretty room and great soundtrack playing through lunch.

Great restaurant. We were well looked after by the staff. Wine selection and recommendations really good. The butter with the bread at the start was great. Lovely food. Plus, live music. Terrific time.

Amazing place for wine lovers. The sommelier is super friendly and very knowledgeable about wines and the origin and taste profiles. There are wine tasting options but not all days of the week so I recommend calling in advance for possibilities. The food is also very delicious and pared with the right wines it is the perfect recipe for an excellent dining experience.

Great hole in war wine bar/restaurant. Food was delicious and wine selection was great, waiters were very helpful in selecting a wine too. Atmosphere was great with a live singer playing the piano throughout. Very much recommend!

Had a wonderful lunch with my wife and child. There was a lot of attention to us with a friendly service. While eating out is Lisbon is usually a great experience, this was a highlight. The wine selection is not what you see in supermarkets and the food was really delicious. Port wine by the glass was also generous. Highly recommend!

The food was very good and there was plenty of wine to choose from. The live music was excellent and did not distract from the overall atmosphere. Service was a bit slow once it got busy, but that is based on my own preference and being used to London restaurants.

Cool little spot :) We had a few small dishes to share along side a glass of wine. They were all very yummy! I didn't enjoy the wine so much and the guy who served it to us wasn't very helpful with finding the right fit, he seemed a bit mad.. But I'm giving this place 4 stars bc we still had a great evening, there was live music and the rest of the staff was very nice. Try the cheese dish! It was so good.

A great lunch! My friend booked through the Fork, so we had a 30% discount on food. We both had the polvo (octopus) lunch special, which was octopus with crushed roasted potatoes and vegetables. It was delicious! The service was also EXCEPTIONAL, so thank you Ricardo (aka Vino Diesel, seriously he looks like the dude from Fast and Furious 11). Anyway, highly recommended.

The food and service was perfect! The wine list is very good with a lot by the glass. Our server was super helpful and friendly and he helped us choosing wines to try! There was live music as well which was very nice. This place is a must if you want to try Portuguese wines by the glass in a great atmosphere

The food was delicious and served quickly. Mushroom risotto was delicious, linguine was delightful and pork cheeks with apple puree was a winning combo. Live music added to the wonderful ambiance. Slightly overwhelmed by the extensive wine list, but thanks to the helpful and friendly resident sommelier, we each picked a wine suited to the occasion. Highly recommend!

A friend had recommended that we check this place out while on our honeymoon. This friend, having a wine cellar of her own in her home and excellent palette, said it was her favorite wine bar in Lisbon. So we went out first night in Lisbon and was absolutely delighted. Small place, with beautiful warm lighting. Service by Ricardo was incredible. He personally selects and sources some of the wines himself. For food we had the Gambas, 2 of the Croquettes and Pica-Pau da Vazia, which were paired masterfully by Ricardo with his favorite selections. Live music was great. We closed the place down, got there around 7:30 and left at midnight. Can't recommend this place enough. Ricardo we love you.

Great restaurant! Fresh and delicious food. The service was quick and perfect. We had the chance to listen a girl with her guitar singing live music… Thanks for the experience.

Absolutely amazing. The food was incredible (the meat was really tender) and the service was great. Definitely worth a visit when you're in Lisbon.

Popped into here for lunch and ended up staying hours due to the amazing food and wine! The waiter was fantastic with wine recommendations. We chose a different wine for each glass based on his recommendations for our tastes. The charcuterie and cheese board was absolutely delicious also.

A little crowded but definitely worth the squeeze. Food is excellent and amble - and the wine pairing close to perfect! There's a big selection of Portuguese wine and they happily advice and guide you to the right one for the evening. There's even live music on occasion.

Excellent wine bar in Lisbon. Take the steps from Rossio square, it’s worth it! Wine tasting comes with 5 glasses of wine including 2 white, 2 red and a glass of port. Excellent quality and great choice. Wine is paired to your liking so no change of drinking bad wine! Also comes with a large and nice cheese platter and bread.

I went to this restaurant yesterday with my family and we were rewarded with excellent service and with delicious food . I would also like to mention that they have 400 References of local Portuguese wine. Thanks to all of the team of grapes and bites to make our evening a special, we will come again soon….
