Probably the friendliest, most welcoming and cleanest place you can stay in Lisbon. Excellent location surrounded by several delicious restaurants in 5 min walking distance. The receptionist Ceu was exceptional! Only thing I would suggest for ecological reasons is to not change all towels each day. And be aware that taxis can’t enter the street, so you need to walk quite a bit uphill to get there.

During my recent stay at this Lisbon hotel, I was thoroughly impressed by every aspect of the experience. The rooms were impeccably clean, providing a comfortable and refreshing environment to come back to each day. The hotel's interior and grounds were stunningly beautiful, offering a serene oasis in the heart of the city. What truly set this hotel apart was the exceptional staff. Each member was incredibly helpful, going above and beyond to ensure a delightful stay. A special mention must go to the wine bar – it was an absolute highlight! The bar lady was knowledgeable and passionate about their selection, offering exquisite wines and engaging stories behind each one. The owner's warm and friendly demeanor added a personal touch that made the stay even more memorable. His hospitality and kindness were evident in every detail of the hotel. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to this wonderful establishment. It's not just a hotel; it's an experience that shouldn't be missed when in Lisbon.

Beautiful room Super comfortable bed! Our room was a mini apartment, 1 bedroom separate from living room/dining room. Kitchen is fully prepped in case you want to eat/cook in. Lovely large bathroom! CLEAN. Gorgeous refurbished apartment. (The accent wall left from the original structure was beautiful). Seriously delighted by this arrangement. The location is also within walking distance of most things including downtown (which, honestly, is not really anything special --- the surrounding, smaller areas are far more interesting and have much more to see and do). We loved staying here. And if all goes well, we will be staying here again next time we visit Lisbon. Thank you for the lovely stay!

Just a short walk from the Time Out market this was a fabulous place to stay. From the gracious greeting on arrival, including help up the stairs, we could not be more happy with our 5 night stay. We added an additional night that required a move to another room and this again was all arranged including luggage transfer. Rooms were large, clean and everything we needed was provided.

Fantastic hotel to stay at. Great location to walk to all the places I wanted to visit. Clean rooms and bedding. Super helpful staff that gave great places to shop and eat. I will definitely stay there again.

Staying at 54 Santa Catarina was such a special experience for us! We arrived there after our flight from Australia, and it was the perfect place for us to arrive to, so homely, comfortable and cosy. Ana and Alex were always there for us to answer our questions and give us recommendations. Our room had incredible views over the Tagus. And it is perfectly located! Cannot wait to stay again! I cannot say enough good things about this place. The room was very nice and comfortable, it looked like a high-end hotel suite but with a nice kitchenette and a lovely outdoor area. Alexandra was extremely helpful and friendly. Even though it wasn't mentioned, they offered free laundry which Alexandra even offered to do for us so we could go out and enjoy our vacation and not have to deal with laundry. Small details like personalized notes awaited us in the room. We were there over Halloween and they even left candy and a note about the history of the holiday. I booked a car to the airport which was very easy and convenient and worth the $25. Alexandra offered to make us dinner reservations and always had good ideas on places to eat and things to do. All in all a very high-end, boutique experience! I'd recommend anyone to stay at 54 Santa Catarina and plan to stay again next time I am in Lisbon!

The staff was so helpful with moving our bags and with information about the area we were in. The rooms are very spacious and had many amenities

The rooms were beautiful - ours had an amazing old brick arch over the kitchen. Appliances were modern and shower was splendid. The back deck area was nice for wine and star gazing. The rooms could be a bit cold at night (goes with the nature of an old building), but space heaters were provided. Location was convenient and near good public transit.

Had a great stay while here in Lisbon. The apartment was spacious and offered everything we needed for the kitchen. Loved the location in the city and a great breakfast place “Dear Breakfast” was right around the corner.

The five star ratings across the board, Rooms, Service and Location say it all. I would only add that the people there were EXCEPTIONALLY kind and helpful. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Lisbon.

This is a beautifully located historic building right near the water, and close to key areas of Lisbon for visiting on foot, as well as public transport. The rooms are large and interesting, each with their own character, and the folks working there are supportive and kind. It’s worth noting the rooms are on multiple levels and no elevator - but Lisbon is also a seriously hilly city, so arrive ready to climb! We plan to stay here again when we come back - terrific experience!

Lovely apartment hotel. Staff are excellent, the rooms are clean and well appointed. My only issue was that the room was on the 4th floor which means you have to access steep steps, if you have mobility issues, book on the lower levels. Easy to get around, great view and lots of restaurant options.

Even though we had some issues, the Hotel especially- Nurian did a crazy good job to make us happy. We had a nice stay- the room was clean and very cosy and was equipped with all necessary items. The location is central but in the same time not too loud. We will come back.

Super experience! The rooms are very spacious, well equipped and lovingly furnished. The service is excellent and always helpful. The only drawback is that it is sometimes a bit noisy (but that is to be expected in a beautiful old building in the city centre). We would love to come back anytime!

I stayed two weeks in the penthouse in August. I wanted to thank the whole team which was extraordinary. I especially wanted to thank Patricia who made my stay perfect, her professionalism and manners were worthy of a Palace! I highly recommend this magical place. I hope to come back soon. Eric

We stayed at 54 Santa Catarina for a week and are so glad we chose it. We were recovering from COVID and could not have asked for a more homey place to stay while feeling down in the dumps and exhausted. Our room was spacious and clean, with a kitchenette that made home-cooked meals easy. It is nestled on a not-so-busy street near some lively areas, but it was quiet at nights and easy to sleep.

This apart-hotel is wonderful-so glad to have found it! Meets all holiday or digital nomad requirements - full kitchen, great AC, good wifi, plenty of space for living and also storage, awesome location, laundry on-site (washer+dryer+detergent), very comfortable, exceptionally clean, quiet, and more. The staff (Hi Claudia!) is absolutely incredible - very nice, welcoming and helpful. If you are flying in, use their transfer service as their drivers are able to access the roads (Uber/taxi cannot) and you will avoid walking up hills with luggage - the drivers are also very nice and the cars are very clean. Very close to loads of things, also a generally easy walk and you can avoid Lisbon hills if needed. Nice wine selection in rooms at reasonable prices as well. I could easily live here long term (with the addition of some long-term furniture like a desk and maybe an oversized chair or chaise for relaxing) - certainly wished for more than the one night I had. Book directly with them for the best deal and for a direct line of communication. Great stay, will return!

We originally booked for April 2020 on not-free-cancellation basis. Due to the pandemic we had to cancel - Santa Catarina could have just taken the money for the booking, but instead allowed us to re-book our stay twice. Communication in the couple of days before our booking and the day of travel itself was exemplary, ensuring that checking in was quick and easy and giving us reassurance despite a lengthy delay at passport control. The reception staff were superb throughout - extremely helpful, so friendly, and always ready to chat. Our apartment was beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean, in a great location not far from the old town and the river. Recommended unreservedly.

We stayed overnight here and absolutely loved it. The location is perfect, quiet and private but also within a short walk to many of the main sites, as well as a lot of restaurants and stores. The staff was incredible, extremely friendly, accommodating and knowledgable of the city (especially Paulo:). Our room had a balcony with a comfortable sitting area, and a great view of the hillside. The AC kept the room at a very comfortable temperature, which was amazing after a long day of site-seeing. While we only stayed for one night, the room was more than equipped for a longer stay, with a well equipped kitchenette and fridge, as well as public laundry available in the lobby. We will definitely be returning, and you should go as well!

We stayed here for 3 nights for a holiday in Lisbon. The care and service provided was by far some of the best and everyone we encountered being incredibly helpful and friendly! The apartments and general building was really well decorated as well as being very very clean. Location is fantastic, really central and within walking distance to many of the tourist areas of Lisbon. There are plenty of amazing restaurants and bars nearby to choose from, all on the doorstep. We will be staying here again when we come back!

Excellent customer service is always easily identified by the degree to which a business goes beyond expectation. This is especially true for hotels and other businesses which provide lodging. A clean bed, functional utilities, convenient location, and competent staff are for me the bare minimum. I require just a little bit more to be impressed, and I am happy to say that 54 Santa Catarina delivered in spades! The staff are absolutely worth their weight in gold. There were a total of three women, I think, who managed the hotel, and my wife and I had the pleasure of meeting and working with two: Patricia and Anna. Patricia greeted us upon our arrival and walked us through the lay of the land. She made sure we were able to orient ourselves correctly (neither my wife nor I had ever visited before) according to the maps provided before she turned us loose onto the city. She was also always available to us within 5 minutes of any communication sent via WhatsApp on a wide variety of issues including electrical power, currency exchange, restaurants, and public transportation. Anna was just as helpful. I'd spilled some food onto the floor of my unit, and when I told Anna about my mistake she sprung into action and located cleaning products for me. She and I also had an opportunity to discuss our love of martial arts and national French fry battles while I rested in the lobby after a particularly challenging walk up Lisbon's sloped streets. The facilities feature everything that you need for a comfortable visit including complementary laundry and a full kitchen. Whenever my wife and I decide to visit Lisbon again, 54 Santa Catarina will be first on our list of places to stay!

Absolutely loved this beautiful and spacious apartment. Location was ideal, with so much on the doorstep, including the famous Tram 28. We couldn’t have received a warmer welcome from Patricia & Jorge, the managers - they were so friendly, have so much time for guests and offered us excellent local recommendations for sightseeing and restaurants. Don’t miss Santelmo - amazing restaurant very close by! Our apartment was spotlessly clean, well equipped and we enjoyed staying here so much. This review is long overdue as we stayed in early August but I cannot recommend 54 Santa Catarina enough! Our unit was on the ground floor with a large bedroom, sofa bed, full kitchen, dining area, large bathroom and private garden! The apartment was spacious, quiet, and artistically furnished. We took advantage of the airport shuttle they offer and our driver was superb as well as patient (there was a strike going on upon our arrival so it took us close to 3 hours to clear customs, he waited and greeted us with a smile). The staff was easily reached via whatsapp and requests were tended to promptly. Catarina was phenomenal even before arrival and a true delight to meet in person. The apartments are situated in a really central spot close to the tram (no. 28) and within walking distance of more than a few attractions/ great restaurants. i implore you, stay here!

Everything about 54 Santa Catarina apartments was amazing! Firstly, the place was sparklingly clean when we arrived, and was cleaned during our stay to a very high standard. The location was absolutely perfect if you want to be right in the heart of Lisbon, in a cool and youthful neighbourhood with amazing restaurants and cafes nearby. The balcony we had overlooked the north of Lisbon and was stunning. But most of all, the warm hospitality from our hostess Ana was really incredible. I don't know what she's getting paid but it should be more, or she should get a promotion! Her kindness and warmth made our stay feel so special and we have already recommended the apartments to people who will stay there (maybe she should be on commission?) There was no drawbacks to our stay, we loved it and would be delighted to return! Megan & Conor :)

Fantastic place. Excellent customer service, people go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and at home. The location is good, close to some of the night life areas and walking distance to central. The apartment is clean and well maintained.
