I'm torn about this place because on one hand the staff is helpful, and you can't beat the location which is right in the center of all the attractions and walking streets. It was convenient to store baggage while visiting attractions. On the other hand there's more of a hostel vibe; the rooms are quite small, bathroom is broken up into separate small shower and toilet areas with sink in the room to save space, and there's not a lobby in the hotel but a separate room where the check in person sits--and after 10pm you have to call the neighboring hotel, cosmopolitan lodge for any issues that arise. At one point the power in the room cut out so it would have been a big hassle to get that resolved if it had happened in the middle of the night. For the price and location it was a good deal, however this is definitely not a 4 star hotel.

Great location but my room was tiny. I did not even have a chair or table, and it was impossible to work from the hotel. Therefor I feel that the pictures did not represent the room well.

We stayed for 4 nights for our first visit to Lisbon. Perfect! The location is ideal, right in the center of the city a block from the train station. The room was small but very efficiently arranged and squeaky clean, very nice sheets, with great service daily. The folks at the reception were just the best! Eugenia made us feel like best friends from the start: she was so helpful with planning things to do and see in the city, and with advice on dealing with my food poisoning (beware the grouper in the Bairra Alto). This is the only place we'll ever stay it in Lisbon! Thanks again Eugenia!

The staff was so wonderful and kind. Everyone was pleasant to speak to. The hotels location is the best part! In the best spot and incredibly convenient. The doors and walls are very thin, so if you’re a light sleeper I recommend ear plugs. You can hear all the people and there’s also random beeping all day and night in the halls. The bathrooms and showers are very small, so if you’re plus size take note of that. Overall I enjoyed my stay!

I would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lisboa. Right in the center located, super-close to Metro-station. At arrival in the morning our room was ready and could be used, hours before the normal time. What a great welcome. My 14 year old son and I really liked the vibe!

In a really touristy neighborhood. The rooms are very tiny, it’s hard to walk around the bed. Ours smelled like cigarette smoke but we only stayed one night so we didn’t ask for another room. Staff was super sweet and helpful with recommendations.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Esqina Urban Lodge. We originally planned to stay for two days, but ended up extending our stay for an additional night. The location is amazing! A quick walk to the metro, restaurants, and all the beautiful sights of Lisboa! Eugenia was absolutely amazing and so helpful! She was able to help us with an early check-in, provide us with so many local recommendations for things to do and places to eat. She even assisted us with recommendations of places to see throughout Portugal, which helped us plan the rest of our trip. The rooms were very comfortable and we slept so well. I was surprised at how large they were as well! They could use a few fixes and touchups, but other than that, the rooms were wonderful. It was also very quiet at night! I would highly recommend Esqina Urban Lodge!

Great location and very clean! Room was bigger than I expected so I was really happy with that. It was also pretty quiet. Everyone there is so friendly and helpful. I would suggest this hotel to anyone staying in this neighborhood!

Just recently stayed at the Esquina Urban Lodge and have great things to say. Great location right downtown Lisbon, very close to major public transport routes and tourist attractions. The room was quite affordable, and was a good size and clean. Easy to get into the hotel and room without keycards. Only downside is a lack of 24/7 reception at this location, but I believe their other location downtown has this that is available to contact as needed.

Our experience at Esqina Urban Lodge exceeded all expections! We got to spend 3 nights in this charming hotel in the middle of the city. We want to give a special thank you to Sebastian - he went above and beyond to make our stay perfect and his wonderful service made our trip a 10/10 🫶🏼 We will definitely be coming back here on our next trip to Lisbon 🥰

We loved every minute of our stay! We went for my birthday and was not disappointed! They reach out to you before your stay to make sure everything is all set for your stay. For an additional cost, they will help set up airport transportation. Our driver was super friendly and helpful! From the receptionist to our housekeeper, all were super nice and helpful. Giving us the true Portugal experience. It was in the heart of Lisbon. This property shows that you do not need to stay in a overpriced Hilton/Marriott property. I wish we did not have to leave! Thank you all for everything.

Great boutique hotel in Lisbon city center, lots of shops, food places nearby and easy access to the Rossio Train station. Matilde was very helpful and very accommodating. Evgenia was also very helpful and attentive.

Amazing hotel…. Matilde allowed us to check in early. The rooms were so clean. The best location in Lisbon. Would stay here every time when we return.

Fantastic location for the hotel, and the service is also really good. If you are a light sleeper take some ear plugs as there is a little bit of street noise but other than that, a really beautiful place to stay. Would definitely stay again!

Had a very pleasant experience staying here. The hotel staff are extremely friendly. Room was cleaned everyday and very modern room and shower/bathroom. Had an issue with one of the shower heads that was resolved immediately once I brought it up. Would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Lisbon as the location was unbeatable and the stay was more than comfortable!! Thanks again!

Lisbon was the first stop of a 3 week long Euro Trip with my boyfriend; we came across the hotel online and booked immediately without doing too much research. We arrived to the hotel and was quite pleasantly surprised, it is extremely well located right off of Rue du Augusta. The room was nicely sized (not a typically small european room) and had a small balcony which I enjoyed my daily morning coffee on, the service was homey and friendly. I would highly recommend Esquina Urban Lodge for you stay in Lisbon.

Great location but haphazardly built room such as physically wedging a glass door to keep the toilet door to stay closed. Shower flooded into the room right up to the bed. The fact the the skirting had rotted away indicates it's been a long running issue. Mould in the shower too. Wouldn't stay here again nor recommended it

My boyfriend and I came to Lisbon to celebrate his birthday. The hotel is very central, clean and rooms are spacious. The personnel is very friendly and helpful. They even sent this little treat to our room as a surprise! Lovely experience, would definitely recommend it.

The location of this hotel is ideal. Very walkable to main attractions. Near good shopping and food. I would give the two receptionists 6 stars out of 5 at the hotel. The two young women working there were always to helpful and friendly! I'd highly recommend staying here.

The best and most affordable inn in the area. Super centric to all attractions to visit. Comfortable bed, great bathroom with hot water, super clean, great customer service. Even though it is a hostel they also have hotel rooms like the one I stay in. They have an elevator but from the second floor, but for me that was not a problem. Is the perfect option to visit Lisbon. Just outside you have everything you need. Restaurants, stores, pharmacy and many more.

Great location, clean, friendly and ready to help staff. Especially grateful to Guilherme P. who helped me with the local restaurants and cafés recommendations. I will definitely come back again!

Very comfortable and clean room, and beautiful. Reception girl was very friendly, check in was easy and fast. There’s a communal kitchen with free tea/coffee. Wifi working properly, the property has lift. Great location, right in the city centre, 2 minutes from Rua Augusta. Walking distance from the main points in Lisbon.

We have experienced a perfect stay at Esquina Urban Lodge. Great location, comfortable room and a very caring staff (we have appreciated so much the little attention for my birthday). I would recommend it and come back for sure

Great place to stay if you go to Lisbon. The location was ideal for us. It is situated the middle of the Baxia neighborhood and was easily walkable to see the sites of Alfama and experience the nightlife in Bairro Alto. It is also close to Rossio station where we took a train to Sintra for a great day trip. Right outside the hotel there are numerous restaurants and shops to enjoy as well. Having such a centered location in the heart of all that activity does mean there are pretty lively streets outside the window. But the street the hotel is on is not very busy so the noise was fairly well controlled at night and we were able to sleep peacefully even on the first floor. The hotel itself was nice. The rooms have a trendy updated design and they were very tidy. The staff was very knowledgeable about the area and were very accommodating. Our train was late from Lagos and they stayed to check us in a little past when the office usually closes. They are also very easy to communicate with and respond quickly to emails. If you come to Lisbon and are looking for nice, centrally located lodgings I would highly recommend Esqina Urban Lodge.

Great location in central Chiado upscale area very close to the main square by the river. Easy location for getting the trams/busses and not far to the train station. Lovely great hostess was so considerate and helpful with all our issues - English speaking was a bonus for us. Rooms are newly reno’d with shampoo and soap! Excellent location in a quiet street.

My husband and I needed a room for just one night before catching the plane back home after a three week vacation in Spain and Portugal. The room was perfect, close to many restaurants, a bit touristy, but that is to be expected. The staff were very helpful, and set up a ride to the airport for us.

The rooms are old fashioned and very clean and even though urban lodge is located in the city center which can be quite noisy during the long evenings, as soon as you close the windows it is completely quiet. A very nice reception made the stay great from the very beginning. The vicinity of the metro and many good restaurants is another positive aspect to be mentioned.
