Such a beautiful restaurant which is tucked away up one of Lisbon streets. Staff extremely polite and friendly which made the experience. Food was delicious. We took recommendation of the owner and he didn’t fail to please! The best part of the evening was when a diner got up and sang Fado, followed by the organised Fado entertainment for that evening. Perfect end to a perfect meal! Thank you Taberna Coimbra we will definitely be back!

Excellent Fado performance and great food! It really worth a visit if you are a fan of live music. The mushroom risotto is also very tasty!

Vorspeisen waren exzellent. Der Codfish war ebensfalls sehr gut. Der Hamburger war nicht nach meinem Geschmack (extrem gepresstes Fleisch --> fasst wie Frühstücksfleisch). Der Service war der beste den wir bis dato in Lissabon hatten. Alles in allem 4,5.

The food was nice, specially the baby pig. And it’s nice for a group meal. We paid 22 euros for couve, starters, main, dessert and all you can drink wine. The portions are not very generous if you are hungry though.

Reading all these positive ratings and even getting personal recommendations we couldn't wait to visit this restaurant. The place itself was not very nice. They didn't have tablecloth, just some brown paper on the tables. The urinal didn't work and the other toilet in the men's room couldn't be locked. You can imagine some awkward situations... Food: The octopus salad tasted good - nothing to complain about. The main dish was tagliatelle with mushrooms. For 12-14 € (I don't remember exactly) I expect a far better taste. I know the meal itself is nothing special, but I think there has to be some kind of pleasant taste and not just: "cook noodles - boil some mushrooms - fry with onions - put it together - salt it - done". Very disappointing. I won't give 1 star because I am hoping I had just bad luck with my choice of meal.

Cute little place we stumbled on by accident while looking for a tasty, affordable lunch. Definitely hit the spot with an 8,5€ menu of the day. The cod risotto was very tasty and the pork chops were cooked perfectly with fab wedge fries. Great find.

Tasty foods and dessert! A little bit slower to serve the main dish, otherwise it is perfect!

I tried here excellent chicken hearts and a bit dry and salty codfish (but as far as I know it is supposed to be like that). This place is not on tourist street. I think that's why you can get an excellent food for very low price. Try to book a table on TheFork and receive up to 40 percent discount (that's what we did!)

Phenomenal traditional food, with an extra special twist. The Fado of Coimbra is just the cherry on top. Even more so being a genre that is not so popular here in Lisbon. The decoration is taking a trip down memory lane to the good old student days. Lovely. Highly recommend it!!!

The waiter was constantly in a rush but there were only three tables to work. Food took a long time and when it finally came it was cold, and the fish was chewy. We also got the steak in 3 pepper sauce; it was tasty but the steak wasn’t great, plus it came with a fried egg on top that wasn’t on the description and was cold. They serve bread and olives on the table and then charge you for them, even though you didn’t order them. Felt like a scam. THEY ARE NOT COMPLIMENTARY; if you don’t want them don’t even touch them and you won’t be charged. Not a good experience, and not worth the money.

Staff very kind, they accept me also if they close from few minutes. Fish tasty and big portion side. Chocolate cake also good. Value for money absolutely ok. See you

Not that great.., order a few things of the tapas menu, nothing was above average. I Didn't like the the chicken meatballs, But! was made to feel guilty for not eating them all by one of the waiters..... We then left swiftly.
