I wanted to learn and have an excellent Fado experience. So from all reviews and forums, this was the place. We were there at 7:30 PM; the appetizers were already on the table. So that is great. At 8:30 PM, we got the main courses. I'm a vegetarian, and they prepared vegetarian food. Please make sure you do it up front, not at the time when you get there. Both vegetarian and fish food was great, no complaints. At 10:00, they started Fado. I like the explanation about the Fado. After that they starter to explain each song what that song is about and teaching Portuguese and explanation needed to be done in four languages so everybody can understand. It was taking too much time, so I could not get Fado experience. In one hour, from 10 to 11, they had no more than five songs. Another weakness is that this place is so packed that there is no room for move. I wish there was more Fado music/songs in 3.5 hours. So, in the end, I was full, but I did not have a good Fado experience.

WARNING! Please make sure you don’t have anything to eat the whole day before visiting this wonderful establishment. We had such a fantastic evening: a combination of beautiful hosts, delicious and plentiful food and heart stirring Fado. Informative information and cozy environment topped it off. The ambiance was convivial as the hosts did their best to engage the audience. Although you might not understand the words, Fado is something that is interpreted by the heart. Anybody’s heart.

A must for sure. A super fun experience that you will tell all of your friends. For starters, you need a reservation as this is full each night. It is a full evening experience that lasts over 4 hours. What I loved about this is the passion that Duarte and Mariana have for Portugal and the Portuguese culture. They prepare the food and serve the food. Full of flavor. There were 4 of us and we had the seafood and the pork. Incredible flavors. The wine is made from their farm. Also they were the ones that perform as well they both are super acclaimed in Fado and music and are talented.

We were lucky enough to book on the day and enjoyed our evening with them. You can book via email and then pay a deposit to save your booking. Then they will email you to pay in their bank account. After that you will receive the confirmation email. The restaurant is located in the narrow street and you need to walk a little bit after getting off the taxi. As soon as we got into the restaurant, we truly felt welcomed by them. The food were super good and we also made new friends. 💛 Their music was so beautiful and our experience was truly amazing. I hope you all experience their music, food and good laughs!

What an amazing evening. Despite managing to arrive a day early for our booking (!), we were still shown to a table. The staff could not have been nicer if they had tried. The menu is set but we had the seafood which was delicious. And then there is the fado itself, which was fantastic. We had such a great evening, great value and worth fighting for a reservation.

If you looking for a real fado and family access to people, you should visit this place. Ana Marina and his husband Duarte Santos are very friendly hosts. First of all you have to contact them via email or phone and make a reservation - not at the earliest evening but one. Because the number of places is limited. We got exactly what we want. Memories for absolutely amazing meal, friendly access, and 1 hour of Fado when after or before each song was explained about the song is. We got very high expectations. Muito obrigado por tudo!!! I am sending photos only with food and part of interior because I don’t have allow of other people who were there. 🙂

The price is 48€ per person including a three course menu, half a liter water per person and half a liter wine for two people I believe. The food was okay but the quality could have been a bit better for that price. Everything started at 8PM but the music just starts at 9:30PM which wasn’t great because we had to eat and wait for the music a long time until it started and they played until 11PM but with brakes in between, in total for one hour I would say. The music was very nice and the singing as well but the evening was a bit too long. Sitting for three or even four hours is just too much. Staff was very nice but we expected a bit more for that price.

We really enjoyed the experience, food and wine (try the green red wine). It was one of the main highlights of our entire trip. We felt truly welcome and that they loved what they do and liked hosting tourists (rare). Do yourself a favor and experience this treat while you still can.

We (me and my wife) were at this place a few years back and we were delighted by the home-like atmosphere created by the hosts. We also liked the food and the show. During our last trip to Lisbon we came back. The food was there, the show was almost as good, but the atmosphere was gone 😞. I don't know what changed (apart from the location), but it was disappointing.

A great experience, highly recommended for visitors to Lisbon to book in advance to dine at this restaurant and experience the fado show and local culture. The seafood in tomato sauce was to our liking, fresh and plentiful. The coffee mousse for dessert was not too sweet and we almost ate it all. The host and hostess were kind and considerate, interacting with the guests throughout the show. They did a great job in cooking the food, welcoming us to the restaurant and putting on the show. It was raining heavily on Wednesday night but the restaurant was full with guests. We were lucky that our reservation was late but was accepted. I don't understand the bad reviews some people have given. We had already paid over fifty euros for a glass of wine at a flamenco restaurant in Madrid, and for the same price we enjoyed a wonderful three-course dinner and fado show at this Lisbon restaurant.

We visited on Tuesday 27th February 2024. This was such a wonderfully gorgeous night. The restaurant has a cosy atmosphere, the food is lovely and was just the right amount as was the wine, and the singing and music is so heartfelt. I could quite happily go there again and hope to maybe next year.

Highly Recommended. Many thanks to Ana Marina & Duarte Santos for the amazing experience and the great food. One of the best restaurants in Lisboa, 3 course meal and music at the end. Definitely will come again when in Lisboa.

Fado dinner package. The atmosphere of the show is captivating, intimate, joyful and wistful - all at the same time!

A very spirited performance. Unfortunately I have to say we believe we received food poisoning from the seafood cataplana. Here are the details. Myself and my companion did not eat substantially on the day. We never ate the same meal, and sometimes not at the same place. Here we shared the cataplana. Within 20 minutes he developed a headache and had to leave. I stayed and ate most of the cataplana. During the night he had a fever and guess what else. The next day I had fever, and it was coming out both ends. I have never experienced this before. A horrible farewell to Lisboa that did not fully subside for another 36 hours.

This place used to be amazing. Such a shame to have ruined it. I knew the place and loved the atmosphere, Ana Marina, Duarte and Nadia. At the phone (when I booked), I asked wether I am at the right place. The person confirmed and promised me an amazing evening for my mother and sister who travelled to Lisbon for the occasion. I found odd he insisted and called me back again to confirm… I should have checked the ownership of the restaurant at that point… When we arrived, few things seem even weirder. An incredible amount of staff, tacky decoration. Nothing genuine. Nothing personal. Nothing known. The inside is changed and looks (frankly) dodgy. We are advised to wait across the road to a “wine bar”. The crew needs to “get ready”. Again all of it is very odd. We wait… and wait. Nobody comes. After the opening time, I decide to step in to see that the staff has “forgotten us” (very professional hm). This is when I had the pleasure to meet the new owner (who takes care not to mention it). He is slimy and weird - honestly, I feel uncomfortable and become very suspicious. He served me all kind of lies including the death of Duarte or of family member (all kind of blabla that is as unnecessary as strange). He actually pretends to work with them and that they could not make it because of the death (although it turns out they’ve simply retired). He probably has “forgotten” to mentioned it and lied to my face by mistake. Later on, he could see I was checking the information on my phone and googling the place. What a ridiculous move he made - when you think about it it’s quite pathetic. The fado was average. Ana Marina, Duarte and friends are difficult to equal. One of the musician (very talented at the Portuguese guitar) simply cannot keep it quiet (even disturbing his colleagues or singing when they -desperately- attempt to speak with the audience). Don’t get me wrong, I’m all to encourage new generation and youth but quite frankly I’m not sure why someone didn’t step in to tell him to stop being rude. No talent in the world could justify his behaviour. Food was the only thing that seemed a bit similar although nothing could really compete with what it used to be before. The drinks are massively reduced but well… they offered me a coffee I guess…? The Fadista has a really good voice and musicians are talented. A shame one is improvising himself singer. I doubt that’s his thing. She really has loads of potential. I hope she can find a nice place with as much authenticity sr fado used to have. She deserves it and her humility makes her even better (as a musician and a person). The experience is however unsuccessful and I must admit I am really disappointed. We’ve travelled from far and have been fooled, mocked and disrespected (I’m not even sure why as we might have come anyway if we’d known the situation beforehand - although the sour taste would not be here). I have checked the receipt after payment and reach out to a Portuguese solicitor as soon as at home to get the obvious confirmation: the place is now owned by someone else… well done pita gourmet. I hope you’ll enjoy the money and shine when it lasts. An advice though: do not treat people like this. It is backfiring. I will never return and I’ll make sure your dishonesty is known from here to home and at work. I had recommended this place to colleagues and friends and will ensure they all know who you are: liars.

Honestly this was a complete tourist trap. We had to prepay half of our bill to a sketchy PayPal account. I messaged about someone in my party having allergies and they completely disregarded it. The food itself was subpar, the Fado was great, but the service was exceptionally awful. The blonde woman was horribly rude, they served us a half liter of wine for three people, and any more wine was an upcharge. Go somewhere else for Fado, you won't regret it.

Food was very average but I was SO FULL by the end of the evening. We booked a dinner reservation the day of bc we had nothing to do and I think in general it was alright. We were told to arrive b/w 19:30 and 20:00 or the doors will close. We were some of the lash to arrive at 19:45, and they definitely did not close the door at 20:00. The fado show starts when everyone is done eating around 21:00 and the performers are quite informative about fado music. The show itself was about 1.5 hours long with a dessert break in between. It was 48€ per person and that includes an appetizer cheese, dips, and meat board, a main course of a typical Portuguese meal, a very simple dessert, and a couple of glasses of wine. It might not be a true Portuguese experience as it did feel super touristy but I think it’s something to do if you have nothing else to do.

We really enjoy the music at the end of the night. We also had a good service but they could be more server. The food was ok but I am not impressed. Really generous portion. The house wine was really bad. And the decorations could be updated. But over all we are glad we had the experience.

The best food and overall experience we’ve had in Lisbon! The food was delicious - I can’t recommend the octopus enough. My husband got the steak and it was equally good. The service was great and in sync with the Fado performance (respectful not to serve meals while the singers were singing).

Such a scam and very disappointing experience. We ordered sardines and a vegan hamburger. We decided to share with my friend. As it says on the menu you would expected a burger instead we had a poor beyond meat steak served with salad. We didn’t get the bread nor the hummus as mentioned on the menu. The wine was very average and poor service. Both waitresses were not very friendly.
