As
a
lover
of
Lisbon's
rich
history
and
charming
architecture,
I
was
quite
disappointed
with
my
stay
at
this
hotel.
Its
modern
design,
while
sleek
and
up-to-date,
feels
jarringly
out
of
place
nestled
amongst
the
quaint,
time-honored
buildings
of
the
historic
district.
The
hotel
seems
to
have
prioritized
style
over
substance,
and
in
doing
so,
has
lost
touch
with
the
neighborhood's
unique
character.
The
overly
bright
lighting
throughout
the
hotel
was
another
point
of
contention.
Instead
of
creating
a
warm,
inviting
atmosphere,
the
harsh
lights
created
an
unpleasant
and
stark
ambiance
that
was
far
from
relaxing.
The
windows,
although
large
and
potentially
offering
splendid
views
of
the
city,
were
another
issue.
Their
size
and
lack
of
adequate
curtains
did
little
to
preserve
any
sense
of
privacy
and
made
it
challenging
to
adjust
the
natural
light
levels
in
the
room.
In
a
city
as
beautiful
and
storied
as
Lisbon,
I
was
hoping
for
a
hotel
experience
that
would
complement
and
enhance
my
journey
through
Portugal's
historic
capital.
Unfortunately,
this
stay
fell
short
of
expectations.
If
you're
looking
for
an
authentic
Lisbon
experience,
I
would
recommend
seeking
out
a
more
traditional
and
contextually
fitting
accommodation
option.
