I think this hotel is in my top 3 hotels. From the moment you walk in you’re treated like a long lost relative and nothing is too much trouble. Philip greeted us and showed us to our room, throughout our stay he was always there. We left early to get a train and so he’d packed us a breakfast and left nice messages on the boxes for us. Sam made us amazing cocktails both nights. He was a delight to speak with. The room was huge! Designed really well, lots of nice furniture, spotlessly clean. Despite being in the middle of busy nightlife, the rooms weren’t noisy and we slept really well in the comfiest beds. (Sam’s cocktails helped with the sleeping also) Breakfast was amazing, great omelette, lovely bread, fruit and macarons. Brilliant hotel, lots of attention to detail and whoever designed the decor should have a round of applause. Very cool and trendy hotel with amazing service.

We were wandering through Bairro Alto looking for a bar with a difference. The young lady at the door piqued our interest with the mention of €5 cocktails and we entered an incredibly cool yet comforting space filled with great art, old motorcycles and historical pieces. We were introduced to Joao, an incredibly welcoming host who showed us some of the art pieces (it is a gallery as well) and brought my partner a fabulous mojito and a craft beer for me. He told us about the hotel and some of its history We were only there for a drink but loved the vibe, the art and great service. We were only there for a drink but the hotel sounds amazing too. Next time we come to Lisbon we will stay here.

This place is awesome! The entire space is beautifully decorated and has such a fun and lively vibe. The rooms were also well decorated, very spacious and clean - more than enough our family to be comfortable. And as amazing as the place is by itself, the staff were among the nicest people we met on our trip through Portugal. They really tried to go out of their way to make us feel welcome. For example, when they found out we'd be leaving early for our flight, they offered to make us breakfast to-go boxes. Their breakfast was delicious and hot food was made the order - it's not to be missed. The bar also has a very cool atmosphere, and the bartenders make awesome cocktails. It's a great place to hang out. I'd definitely come back here again.

In the heart of Bairro Alto, a relaxed bar with cool decor. Lovely cocktails and great music. Went on a Sat and Sun night - both very different experiences. Staff are friendly but not overly observant/attentive. Had to go and ask for service a few times.

I like this place! I can't speak on the rooms, but I found the ground-level lounge to have so much character and just . . . A nice, nice vibe. The decor is fun and unique, but not overdone. And the drinks are good and not overpriced. The service was good as well. My visit was short, but I was glad we stopped in while in Bairro Alto.

Visited Lisbon for 4 days and we not only fell in love with the city, but we fell in love with where we stayed…in the heart of the historic Barrio Alto neighborhood…new, spacious, modern boutique hotel owned by a local family with large spacious rooms complete with kitchenette, table and living area. Impeccably clean! Delicious cooked to order breakfast included with stay. Fantastic, attentive staff that makes you feel like family. Bar and lobby area hosts art shows and have a very hip vibe. Cocktails are well crafted and unique - absolutely delicious! We will definitely be returning here on our next visit!

This is a great hotel, and a brilliant base from which to explore this complex and seriously interesting city. The communal areas are incredibly fun, our room among the best we have stayed in anywhere and the service provided is outstanding. If you like interesting places that ooze personality and quality, this is the place for you. Would thoroughly recommend.

Won’t comment on the hotel since we didn’t stay there but the breakfast was abysmal for €15 euro/person. They don’t even have a proper espresso machine and don’t know how to poach an egg. The “ best croissants” in Lisbon wouldn’t even make the top 10

Extremely friendly staff. Great location in Bairro alto (can walk everywhere). Outside of the car noise, but the tradeoff is that at night you will have the restaurant crore walking by (but at the end time you are so close to a lot of restaurants). Rooms were very spacious with nice balconies (for isbon)

We visited because of the art work we saw from the street. We sat admiring it for a good half hour before someone even said hello. When they did, they were quite rude. We eventually bought the picture and they said they would get back to us within a day. They didn't. I followed up 10 days later, and still nothing (I later found out they deleted the email). When you buy a picture worth $2000+ you would think that they would coddle you, they simply didn't care! Now it's a month and a half later, they have my money, I still don't have the picture, and I still don't have any idea of how to get the picture as no one has contacted me! PLEASE avoid this place at all costs. Updated (7/18/2023): I like how they assume the problem was on my end with the email when anyone knows that there could be a number of reasons why the email did not get through, like their provider blocking it. That said, I sent a follow-up email 10 days after all this. They admitted they read the email, ignored the email and deleted the email. Three weeks later they asked if I still wanted the picture to which I said no. Yet they still want to charge me for it. So your asking but then totally ignoring the answer? Bottom line was I didn't get the email, I tried following up, and when asked, told them I didn't want it. And yet they STILL are trying to stick me with it. Make sure you get everything in writing with these people so that you don't have an "OOPS, JUST KIDDING" moment like I did. And whatever you do, don't ever give them your credit card! ============= FINAL UPDATE. The bank officially ruled in my favor. But since these people already had my money and weren't willing to give it back, I am stuck with the picture. Basically, they are unethical thieves that stole my money. STAY AWAY!!!

The perfect location for a stay in Lisbon. The staff was exceptional. Our loft was huge and very clean. At night, the party in Bairro Alto went well into the night. The windows provided lots of noise blocking and it wasn't an issue at all. It's worth staying here just for the breakfast!

Our family loved this place. The customer service was some of the best I have ever had in a hotel setting. The rooms were large, breakfast was great, the sitting areas downstairs was perfect, artwork was beautiful, but the staff is what made it even better.

As a lover of Lisbon's rich history and charming architecture, I was quite disappointed with my stay at this hotel. Its modern design, while sleek and up-to-date, feels jarringly out of place nestled amongst the quaint, time-honored buildings of the historic district. The hotel seems to have prioritized style over substance, and in doing so, has lost touch with the neighborhood's unique character. The overly bright lighting throughout the hotel was another point of contention. Instead of creating a warm, inviting atmosphere, the harsh lights created an unpleasant and stark ambiance that was far from relaxing. The windows, although large and potentially offering splendid views of the city, were another issue. Their size and lack of adequate curtains did little to preserve any sense of privacy and made it challenging to adjust the natural light levels in the room. In a city as beautiful and storied as Lisbon, I was hoping for a hotel experience that would complement and enhance my journey through Portugal's historic capital. Unfortunately, this stay fell short of expectations. If you're looking for an authentic Lisbon experience, I would recommend seeking out a more traditional and contextually fitting accommodation option.

What an experience! The concept is quite unique: we loved having a room that looks like a proper artist flat - yet, with all the services of a boutique hotel, 24/7. And impressive skills of the bar staff, we had several exquisites cocktails during our stay, very creatives, that you would only expect in Palace hotels. So if the hotel is fully booked for your stay, at least stop by at night for a drink!

This is a fabulous hotel, with fantastic staff who are friendly and very helpful. Can't wait to return. I would highly recommend it. The rooms are amazing and you will not be disappointed. The Hotel has a retro vibe, which works really well with the old and new architecture of the hotel building. A really enjoyable experience.

Lovely staff, stylish and very comfortable lofts, and decent breakfast. The location is great to get around and have fun at night. The double windows provide excellent insulation and the beds are very comfortable if you’re not in the mood for a night out.

We had a wonderful time here. Joao (the bar keeper) was very enthusiastic, friendly and funny. He told us a lot about the hotel/building and made perfect drinks for us! We recommend this place to everyone who enjoys and appreciate good art and wants to make a fantastic experience. We will definitely come back:)

Large rooms, ideally located in the city - close to restaurants, shops, sites, tour options and everything else! Although we were overlooking the street on 1st floor - we didn’t find the noise from the clubs or restaurant were an issue. We lucked out with a great room - 1.5 bathrooms, for family of 4, what a benefit to have an extra half bath! Included breakfast too - eggs, fruit, cereal, yogurt and unbelievable pastries! Only thing that needs improvement are the temporary beds for the kids - they were couch cushions..but they are kids and can sleep in anything! Staff were awesome too - willing to help and make sure we were comfortable.

Fantastic. Beautiful yet welcoming, in an ideal location, with amenities other high caliber options lack. The room was so extraordinarily large and comfortable, and we loved watching the street below from our balcony. The team was so kind and thoughtful. You can tell this place really cares to ensure you have a special stay.

This place is amazing! Stands out from all other places around Bairro Alto! Art gallery and bar concept is so vibrant. Enjoying the drink in artsy cool area. Haven’t checked the hotel yet, but so far it’s very good! Thanks Joel for amazing cocktails and company.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this well run, clean and excellently located property. The rooms were spacious, unique and everything worked perfectly. The staff were friendly, helpful and professional. The breakfast was good and they were kind enough to ensure that there were plenty of gluten free options as we told them in advance. I highly recommend!

Magic. Really great hotel. We loved the design. Rooms are seriously impressive. Warehouse loft style and everything you need to a very high standard. Service is subdued but there when you need it. You might be worried about the noise given the great location that is very popular - don't worry. The design is really great for sound proofing outside noise. We look forward to coming back again soon.
