They are conical-shaped constructions, around 3 meters high, that expel water upwards. They were one of the great attractions of Expo-98 and today, twenty years later, they still arouse interest.

My favorite "little corner" of Lisbon Every 20 minutes there is a kind of spectacle with water coming out of the really beautiful volcano 😍 There are some benches nearby with a direct view of the volcanoes.
