The hotel was really nice. All of the staff were helpful and friendly. Rooms were on the smaller side, but manageable. Everything was so neat It's located in a central part of Lisbon with a lot of restaurants and shops nearby. The restaurant/bar in the hotel is also nicely stocked and has good food options if you want to eat in the hotel. The breakfast was a bit underwhelming and mainly had sweet things instead of savory.

Excellent location!!! Minutes from Liberty Ave. Staff friendly! Decorations: very cute! Rooms small & just OK. Bed very hard & uncomfortable! Positives: you can open the windows! Summery: great value, I'd say it's a good 3.5 star hotel (definitely not 4), would stay again!

Great location and very new, modern hotel (opened less than a year ago from what I can tell). Outside of the main tourist areas which was nice and quiet, and only a 10 min Uber ride away from the main areas. Very basic hotel but fine for what we needed. I wouldn’t stay longer than 3 nights as the rooms are very basic (no closet for example, just some wire to hang your clothes on). A few issues with the hotel: - Our AC didn’t work - it was stuck at 19 and we couldn’t change it. We had to call every time we wanted it changed (even in the middle of the night) and someone would go downstairs and override the system. They kept accusing us of opening the windows, which we didn’t touch… and said they sent someone to fix it but it didn’t happen. - No iron / ironing boards in the room, they have them on request, but every ironing board we got was oily and dirty. - Did not care about elite Marriott status, and did not honor 4pm late checkout. We were able to check out at 2pm but the front desk made a huge fuss about it.

Quirky modern hotel. 15-20 min walking distance to attractions downtown. Staff was great! Our room was simple and comfy. Would stay there again next time. Pros: Clean, modern room, good location, adventurous underground parking Cons: wish it had a in-room coffee maker

The location is awesome -- an easy walk to major attractions, lots of good restaurants, as well as just 2-3 mins walk to metro. Easy metro ride everywhere, including airport. Excellent service! Wonderful and inexpensive buffet breakfast. The rooms are sparkling clean but small and basic. I would have liked a desk with chair and mini fridge but there are lots of work areas downstairs, with comfy chairs, charging docks, and desktop space. You can get drinks and snacks while working. The bed is a little hard but it did not bother me. Just beware if you like pillow top mattress or have back issues. AC did not work but I was comfortable with an open window; may have been an issue if temps were warmer. Not sure what's the deal with turning AC control off? They honored my Platinum status with very valuable offers, thank you! Overall, I will absolutely stay here again!

Central and quite. easy walk to Baixa and Chiado. Rooms are perfect for a quite night of sleep. My room did not have a desk chair, although other rooms in my reservations did have... The reception staff were very friendly willing to help and spoke English very well. breakfast bar was tasty and sufficient. on site Parking is VERY tight, but manageable.

Great place to stay in Lisbon. The room was nice and clean. The bathroom was good, although the shower drain was clogged one time, but the housekeeping staff fixed it the next day. The rooftop pool is a little bit small, but a very nice place to relax (as long as it's not too crowded up there). The breakfast was nice: not too much to choose from, but tasted great. The hotel is a little bit further from the touristic places, but there are lots of public transport options nearby. Also a lot of good food places within 10 minutes walking distance. 👍🏼

Book any other hotel in Lisbon. Staff was absolutely rude to us (one person kicked us out of a room just because we didn’t know it couldn’t be use, telling us to get out in a very unpolite way). The area they have for working is absolutely horrible, loud music which makes impossible to take any meetings, children running all over the place. Cleaning service is horrendous. Room was dirty, we had two glasses in the room, they didn’t take them away, tables had the glasses stains in them for the 3 days we were there so they obviously don’t clean (so much for covid safety protocols!). The pool has no seats and it is crowded. Honestly for a marriot hotel it was a horrible experience and extremely expensive for what it offers.

While not a 5 star property with it's spartan rooms, it manages to impress. For the price point, one gets a comfortable bed, a nice bathroom and a very good breakfast. I've seen some complaints about the food, however I disagree. There is a good variety of tasty breakfast items. The property is better than I expected.

A good overall experience! This was my first time staying at this location and at a Moxy property in general. Though I have partied at a few. This property had less of a party vibe which was okay. The staff that I encountered were pleasant and helpful. They serve a buffet style breakfast, which has a wide range of options and was reasonably priced imo. My room was a decent size, with a nice bathroom and shower. The soap dispenser in the shower never worked nor was repaired during my stay despite my request. Luckily I brought my own. The hotel isn't centrally located, but also isn't very far away from the action, shops and restaurants. It took us roughly 15 - 20 minutes to get to the main district.

Centrally located too many key attractions. Staff were friendly and always willing to help. Our room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast and bar with it’s modern look and feel.

One night layover here prior to a flight the next morning - good location + friendly staff. Although it's a small point - bottled water should be in the room for arrival. Location of the hotel is superb and for a short stay I would recommend this hotel. Breakfast options limited

I had a brief but wonderful stay at the Moxy Lisbon City property. The staff was more than friendly and helpful and the room was just the right size and had all the amenities I needed. The location was perfect and convenient, just a few blocks from a metro station and close to an assortment of restaurants, cafes and coffee shops. I would gladly stay at the Moxy again and it is a perfect spot for English speaking visitors.

Love, love, love this hotel! The staff are amazing and the room was comfortable and well-appointed. The food is fantastic, it’s in a convenient location, and the vibe is fun and energetic. A note to Americans: NICELY ask the front desk staff to turn down the heat in the room if you’re staying in winter. We arrived around Christmas to a sultry 28C room and they graciously lowered it to 19C.

I really loved this hotel! The lobby was so inviting and comfortable that we spent most of our time in the hotel in the lobby! The staff was incredibly helpful in helping us check in, recommending restaurants, ordering taxis, giving us tips as first time tourists, and helping us get around Lisbon! The breakfast was also very nice in the morning! The only thing I would say is that the extra bed in the room (we had 4 guests in a room so there was one main bed and another bed on the floor, maybe a futon?) and it was very hard / uncomfortable. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay here so much and would definitely come again. The ambience and the staff made it all worth it! And the rooftop pool is very nice!

Fun ultra-modern hotel in downtown Lisbon, Portugal. Check in at the bar, get a free drink card. Very clean, efficient rooms, but no mini-fridge or coffee/ tea maker. Excellent buffet breakfast - typical high-quality Marriott offerings.

Worst Moxy experience I’ve ever had. Took me 90 minutes to finally check in. I’d probably be sleeping outside at this point if I hadn’t bugged the front desk. It also seems that the bar employees only care about making you pay all the $. The bartender made me the most disgusting Irish Coffee I’ve ever had. When I asked for a splash of Kahlua to make it okay to drink, without asking me, he charged me for another drink. Clearly their priorities are more focused on squeezing as much money out of the visitors as possible. The pool also is very average. Good view though. And you’re 30 minutes away from the center of the city. The other reviews don’t highlight that well. Doesn’t make sense to stay here unless you have some Marriott points to blow. Forgot to mention that there are no ironing boards in your room and it’ll take you at least 30 minutes to get one. And room service will take it away the next day 😀

Our stay at Moxy Lisbon is one of the highlights of our vacation in Portugal. From the staff to our room and the whole vibe of this hotel, I couldn’t have asked for a more pleasant stay. I just have to say that the bed was a little too firm for my liking but that’s just my own personal preference. But in totality, my husband and I highly recommend this place. Special shout outs to the night bar crew, Miguel, Thiago, Ellise and Asa (sp?) and our favorite front reception staff, Goma. They made our vacation truly special. We look forward to coming back to our hotel after a long, fun day visiting the beautiful cities of Portugal to have a few drinks at the bar. They’re an exceptional group of people. We hope to see you guys again!

I stayed here for four nights and loved it. The location is great, far enough from the main tourist areas that it doesn't feel overrun but still an easy walk to most things I wanted to do. The concierge was helpful when I had a few questions about things to do and the hotel bar was nice. The roof deck area was cool although the seating up there is a bit limited. Would gladly come back here.

This hotel is great! The location was convenient to plenty of restaurants and shopping. The staff was so kind to us and had so many good recommendations. The bed was comfortable, and room was quiet. We enjoyed the food and drinks at the bar, as well as the roof top views. The only issue we had was the room being too hot and not being able to control the temperature. We called the front desk and it was controlled seemingly remotely.

Great hotel and on par for the Moxy brand. Parking was easy and the staff were friendly and polite. Room was a bit small but perfect for the two of us. Great location and walkable to plenty of restaurants and shopping.

This hotel has the most amazing staff - incredibly helpful and engaging. We had our walking tour cancel at the last minute and they found us one (which was free!) that was perfect. They have a great energy and the space had a great vibe to it. The location wasn't perfect, but Ubers to pretty much anywhere in the city cost about 5 euros (and the metro is a few blocks away).

A great location with a very uniquely decorated hotel near just about everything in Lisbon. The rooms are relatively spartan yet modest and comfortable. The only reason it is not a full five stars is the parking garage below the hotel is easily the worst garage I have ever attempted. To go around the turns to simply get to the lower levels / return to the street requires setting the car in reverse multiple times. The spaces are also extremely tight. We had a small vehicle - nothing atypical for Portugal - and it almost ran into the walls trying to navigate these tight quarters. If you don’t require parking then this hotel is for you. If you have a rental vehicle may I suggest something with a better parking deck? If you do brave this parking deck make sure you have full coverage on your car as you most assuredly will need it.

Moxy with a Lisbon flare! As always, Marriott does an excellent job with these hotels. Recommend that they add stippling or some kind of grip to the shower basin. When your not paying attention, it can make moving about in the shower interesting. This is not specific to any Moxy, it’s been my recommendation at each one I’ve stayed at.

Great staff, great location. Brilliant spot all around…. Only feedback would be fridges for the room but besides that exceptional. Would definitely stay again :-)

Small room with minimal storage and furniture, good for travellers who are in Lisbon for a short stay of less than 3 days. No minibar, comfy chair to sit in the room. The pool was crowded although it was after summer holidays. Pleasant lobby and stay overall

Beautiful and stylish hotel. Rooms are small but you can stay/work in the lobby areas. Pool is nice and cool with great views over the city and no restrictions except until 8pm. The parking garage is very very narrow and difficult to navigate. The hotel is well connected to public transport and there are always scooters from different vendors to rent and go immediately.

A least for me, is a new concept of hotel, the decoration is happy and funny The front desk is whitin the bar, the room is small, the staff is so friendly It is so close to the center of Lisboa, in 30 minutes walking you arrive to Praca do Comercio

Amazing hotel in a decent location near public transport. The best thing was a perfect sound isolation from outside noise. The room was modern and had pretty much what I could ask for - comfortable bed, big TV, AC, large shower. The housekeeping was done daily. The whole hotel has a great esthetic. I managed to book for a great price and for that it was superb.

Nice Marriott hotel in Lisbon. I love the style and decor. The staff was friendly. The rooms were modest but comfortable. I had read some reviews that breakfast was minimal. I found it to be the opposite. I arrived for breakfast about an hour after opening. It features fresh fruit, multiple cereals, eggs, bacon, sweet danish, bread/toast, espresso/coffee machine, juice machine, yogurt, etc. What could be improved: the building is locked down at night. Instead of having to swipe your key to get in you have to ring a doorbell and wait for someone to let you in. I requested a glass/shot of ginjin (the national drink) but they said they were sold out for weeks. It’s on the menu. The restaurant menu only features burger and fries and other bar food. The rooms are on the small side. There are not many amenities in the room. No coffee, no fridge, no lotion, etc.

Stayed here only for a night before flying out of Lisbon. Would definitely stay here longer if I could. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Wonderfully decorated and rooms were great. Super clean and good food/drinks. They had a breakfast buffet available at 6:30 which is perfect since we had to fly out early.

  • 5/5 Amanda R. 1 year ago on Google
Absolutely loved this place! The decor in the entrance, entertainment areas and bar are very quirky, and staff are super helpful and friendly. There are lots of nice bars and little places to eat a short walk away and plenty of places to pick up a hireable electric scooter too.

Very trendy hotel in the center of Lisbon. Lots of board games, cozy corners and a "quiet area" at the reception. The hotel has a snack bar and offers a simple breakfast. Got a welcome drink when we arrived. The room was nice and clean, but very cold. It was not possible to turn up the temperature. Many TV channels and free WIFI. Great and large bathroom. The best thing about the hotel is the swimming pool on the roof terrace. The view is absolutely fantastic. Perfect for taking photos. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

Nice quiet hotel for being in the city. Like the outdoor patio behind the lobby. The room was clean. Don’t order any food at the bar as it wasn’t busy and waited a long time to get some food. Beautiful pool on the roof.

The creative decor at reception is very engaging. The location is perfect in city centre. I stayed with my husband here for 8 nights and my husband is a gold member . We were expecting some upgrade but wasn’t possible. The bed is nice but there was only two pillows. I would expect some cushions too. The room side was small for its price. The bed rest which is kind of a pillow in a leather cover was uncomfortable. It stays cold in winter and I can imagine it would stay hot in summer which makes it inconvenient to use. Rest all was fine the receptionist was good. The food decor game options all were enough to hold us for 8 nights.

I have mixed reviews about this marriott group hotel . Overall very friendly staff, cool and chick bar and restaurant and excellent location. However, the rooms are quite small to start with, with no wardrobe/shelf or storage for luggage. Only 2 paper cups in room, no glasses. No water kettle or similar amenities .. I got an upgraded room - so i assume its one of the better category rooms. However i should admit that the room design is quite trendy.

Underwhelming property with poorly trained staff. Was made to wait until after 5pm for my reservation even though check-in is stated as 3pm. Upon arrival I was told that I needed to wait for their 'premium' guest to leave before they could issue my room. I was made to feel like an inconvenience from the start for not having high enough status (I'm Titanium with Marriott by the way- which was never acknowledged.) It took over 5 hours for them to ready a room for me. No offer of drinks while I waited. Was just told to go out and "enjoy my day and check back later." Uh my day started 20hrs ago...I arrived that day from Los Angeles. But thanks. Super disappointing. Wouldn't recommend.
