Les Miserables on Saturday 8/1/22 was an absolute joy to watch. Powerful raw and emotional. I took my daughter who has autism..she loved every minute. The cast were fantastic and gave their all. I work in NHS and it was a definite lift and tonic in these challenging times.

Toilets a little dirty, but the rest of the venue was fine. Really enjoyed the view, not a bad seat in the house. Would highly recommend checking out the Book of Mormon.

Oh my goodness!!! Went to see Beauty and the Beast. Firstly, the theatre is beautiful, like many old theatres around the country well staffed with lovely helpful courteous people. Now the actual performance... What an absolute audio and visual treat. You'd be a fool to miss this one. The acting, singing and music is wonderful, the stage sets are fabulous, the lighting effects are truly breathtaking, as were the costumes. You would have expected this quality of production in a major London theatre. Sam Bailey as Mrs Potts was terrific. Thank you to each and everyone, on stage and behind the scenes for bringing this treat to the theatre, I lost 6 family and friends within 6 months to the covid virus, I can't think of a better tribute to those I've lost than to support those who are trying so hard to entertain us and get back to normal. Thank you, each and every one of you.

The roadworks made it unusually tricky to get in (Apr 2022), staff are friendly and helpful and polite. Great show, seats comfy. Loos clean, tip ladies: head up to the top loos rather than queueing.

My wife, son and I visited to see the โ€˜Peter Pan Goes Wrongโ€™ production in October 2023. Weโ€™ve been to the Empire several times and itโ€™s a lovely venue. Staff are always friendly, including the door security for bag checks etc on arrival. The bar service is overly expensive for what you get (I appreciate a mark-up, but it seems excessive), and people to tend to congregate as seating is limited in the general areas. The auditorium itself is impressive, and weโ€™ve never had a bad line of sight to the stage or had problems with the AV systems. Seats also reasonably comfy too. Would recommend, and we will visit again.

Watched 'The book of Mormon'. It was entertaining and well worth the visit. My favourite song was 'The spooky Mormon hell dance!' I'd definitely go back and watch it again. This was my view from my seat circle E31. Had a great view. Well done the cast!

Nice old theatre, be coming here for years, even as a kid to pantomime, oh yes I have ๐Ÿ™„ here to see the blues brothers, still looking in ladies handbags so be a gentleman and wear a big coat ๐Ÿ˜œ, seats are comfortable enough and there's enough leg room, staff are friendly, atmosphere in here is always good, parking is available over the road in St Johns precinct, or in William brown street facing the tunnel if you're early, there is about 4 disabled spaces outside the library, bit of a steep walk up , anyway, recommend,

Before arrival we were told via text and via email that staff would be looking at Covid Passes and that if you didn't have one you would need to show a Negative lateral flow - this wasn't the case at all. Not one covid pass was looked at, not one lateral flow test was looked at. No one was wearing masks apart from me and my parents. Toilets weren't in a good state at all, with some not even having locks on, some cubicals in complete darkness. There were paper towels instead of a hand dryer which was fine but no bin nearby, so it's either you put it on the side or clog the toilets up. Seats themselves have a lot of leg room which is the first time I have come across this in a theatre which gained it's one star and of course like all theatres the building was nice. This is no review on the show itself (which was 5/5) or the audience who were awful after drinking alcohol and left so much rubbish for the staff to clear up, it was disgusting of them to be honest.

Well, tonight's performance of School of Rock was Fantastic! What wasn't great is how unorganised the staff were when the fire alarm went off and failed to tell the upper tiers they needed to evacuate the building. ๐Ÿ˜… After the stage was evacuated and the safety curtain lowered it took a good 5 minutes before we were told to evacuate. (Row A) I'll be very surprised if this isn't officially reported.

The theatre is absolutely amazing. I've seen beauty and the beast and dreamgirls here. I'm in love with it everytime I come here. I recommend you get at least half an hour before the beginning to get comfortable and be on time. I respect the work of every employee there and thank you for make everything possible to have a good time. Love love love this place ๐Ÿ’• When Mamma mia started 29/03/22, there was a horrible noise near my seat H55 and they fixed it 10 mins after the beginning of the show. It was the radiator!

Well located next door to Liverpool Lime Street Station. This is a great theatre, ive visited many times, all of which been seated in the stalls, the seats are comfortable, well laid out and majority have good leg room for me being 6'1. It seems clean and tidy, the house staff & security are all nice and polite.

We enjoy our visits to the Empire. Seating is of a good size. Delivery to the seat service is handy to avoid the queues at the bar. Last time we visited we went to the piano bar. Really nice place for pre show drinks. Only downside was there were so many people ordering cocktails it took quite a while to get served.

Lovely, traditional and authentic theatre with fabulous professional performances. Not over priced like some theatres. Staff do need to clamp down on the number of people on their phones during performances.

Very old theatre needs some modernisation. The seats are incredibly uncomfortable and our seats at the very back U section you were almost sat on the floor, very poor leg room ended up standing for almost the entire performance. All staff encountered were friendly & professional, Ridiculous beer prices god help families taking multiple children must cost them a fortune in snacks & drinks.

All i can say is WOW & THANKYOU. The show and cast are amazing, dont change anything because it is & you all are fantastic, We loved everything about the show. The staff in the ambassador suite are a credit to your company, so helpful, polite, friendly & made are experience that more magical, i cant remember all there names but would like to THANK them all who worked tonight โค๏ธ I would also like to thank the band. They are absolutely fantastic, talented men that dont get the credit that they deserve because if your not in the front row you dont realise that there, their playing all the music that goes into the amazing show. Thank you so much for a fantastic, amazing night liverpool empire, the cast, dancers & live band of the bodyguard. See you all again soon xx

The theatre is beautiful and most seats have a really good view of the stage. 42nd St was a fantastic production, beautiful costumes and brilliant choreography, a real feel good production. Food and drink in the theatre are particularly expensive.

Went to see the Wizard of Oz, which was excellent. Sat in stalls with a restricted view, which basically meant we could not see some of the projections at the back which wasn't major and didn't ruin our enjoyment. As ever drinks were expensive but not ridiculously so.

We had a brilliant time @ Peter Pan, The Show That Went Wrong. My daughter is blind so we attended the audio description version. Kerys and Ebony looked after us who were great and the production manager and Theo took us on a touch tour. Everything ran so smoothly. The production was hysterical, loved every minute. Will definitely watch it again.

I really liked the architecture of the building. It's a pity that the theater turned into a cinema. everyone eats crunchy food. the seats are very uncomfortable. baby booster seats turn over. tickets were 2 for ยฃ46, I wouldn't go again even for free. I didn't like it at all.

Went to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Beautifully done and in an awe inspiring setting. A giant of theatre well kept and superbly run. This was a first visit to Liverpool and the Empire was definitely worth having on the to do list.

Visit to see show. Lovely theatre a short walk from Lime Street railway station. Mostly set out with a large seated stalls area. Drinks at the seats orders arrived quickly at the start of the interval. Queue for ladies toilets was massive, they should try to resolve that issue. Gents was empty. Great atmosphere, great way to see and enjoy the show.

So glad live shows are back and how amazing. The staff were amazing and the covid pass which you had to show was quick and easy. You got a reminder email with what you needed to bring and how to go about getting your covid pass recorded also with helpfully information such as car parking, public transport and also a time slot to arrive so health and safety was meet. Well done Liverpool Empire full enjoyed and felt safe though out.

Great venue and can't get a better location if you're travelling by rail as Liverpool Lime Street Station is right next door. #Hack: I tend to prefer to sit in the small numbers of the Stalls (1 onwards etc) of M-Q ideally. These rows are on the slope so there's less bob-and-weave to see the stage, and the small number seats give me quick access to the exit doors which lead, essentially, straight into Lime Street Station and a train home. Beautiful venue been to see a few shows of different variety, I adored it, the views from the โ€˜cheapโ€™ seats were no worse than the expensive ones maybe just a little higher up, you didnโ€™t miss a thing that was said or done and it didnโ€™t interfere with magic of the theatre, if anyone can go see a show here I would the decor inside is stunning itโ€™s accessibility is in place and the staff are welcoming and friendly if you need anything.

Staff very friendly, bar always busy as expected. Seats do not accommodate the bigger plus sized person but thatโ€™s my own fault. Always a great time when I go to see a show and wish to go and see more at the venue.

I've been here for numerous shows now and the theatre has an amazing view no matter where you sit. The staff are extremely nice and being able to pre order interval snacks and drinks is extremely convenient. It's also conveniently close to the train station and a few carparks

Great theatre, just the right size for watching Jimmy Carr. We were sat in the upper circle but it was still close enough to feel part of the show. We had previously been to see Micky Flanagan in Leeds and were again in the upper circle but the only way to see what was going on was to watch the TV screens so really could have stayed at home and watched his show when it came out on TV. Liverpool Empire theatre was perfect, great transport links, close car parks, great food and drink venues in very close walking distance.

Great, classic venue with an amazing architecture and such a great selection of shows. Wifey and I were amazed after 'The Lord of the Rings and Beyond' orchestra show. Highly recommended!

A beautiful theatre with fantastic staff and brilliant facilities. We saw โ€˜The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttimeโ€™ today and were hugely impressed with the grandeur and magnificence of the Empire. The order-at-seat option was greatly received and we will certainly be returning. We sat in A row of the circle and our view was fantastic.
