So,
I've
never
received
acupuncture
before,
but
I
had
this
miserable
achilles
problem
that's
been
keeping
me
sidelined
from
sports,
and
running
about
with
my
kids,
so
I
decided
I'd
give
acupuncture
a
shot.
I'd
been
to
an
orthopaedic
surgeon,
had
a
diagnosis,
and
did
4
sessions
of
Physio,
and
went
away
with
an
exercise
plan,
but
I
was
still
getting
these
dull
pains
in
my
left
ankle
that
wouldn't
go
away
with
icing
and
stretching.
I
was
considering
steroid
shots
and
surgery
and
thought
until
my
friend
recommended
acupuncture.
I
looked
up
the
nearest
clinic
to
my
house
and
walked
down
for
an
assessment/session.
Kate
is
very
welcoming,
did
an
assessment,
put
pins
in
my
ankle
and
tried
some
low
voltage
therapy.
3
sessions
later
and
the
pain
is
effectively
gone,
the
ankle
still
feels
a
little
weak
due
to
inactivity,
but
the
nasty
dull
pain
I
used
to
get
in
the
morning
has
cleared
up.
I'm
going
for
a
final
session
and
then
will
take
my
time
getting
back
to
working
out,
but
whatever
happened
seems
to
have
worked.
It's
a
pain
free,
relaxing
process,
sort
of
mystifying
but
after
the
first
session
my
ankle
felt
very
different
immediately.
It
went
back
to
being
a
bit
sore
a
few
days
after
the
first
session.
After
the
second
session
it
felt
a
bit
sore
2
days
later,
but
then
a
day
or
two
after
that
the
morning
pain
disappeared.
After
my
third
session
there
was
a
little
bit
of
tightness
2
days
later
that
was
removed
with
a
stretch,
but
no
pain
since.
Seems
like
this
incredibly
annoying
injury
will
be
gone
soon.
