Classic British pub done right. The food on offer has a brilliant range of pub classics that are all cooked very well with good quality ingredients and are a definite step up from your average pub restaurant. The selection of beers available offer a great mix of dependable staples, popular imports and fresh craft options. The staff are very friendly and helpful and serve the customers fast. The venue has a good amount of seating available and a large bar area too. The decor is warm and homely and kept nice and clean. I would recommend booking a table for peak times if you plan on dining as it can get very busy.

During summer, it is very nice place to sit outside and enjoy your food. Inside it's bit dark and won't recommend. Food is good, I generally go here for their combo offering food with a glass of beer.

Good’ay greeting’s from down unda. Me and my family came to visit our distant relatives over here in London. Upon stepping off the plane I really fancied what locals call a cream dream otherwise known as a Guinness. And my brother who lives near to the watering-hole recommended “The Sir Christopher Hatton” as It was only a 5 minute voyage. I was cautious over a central London pub as I had heard it’s big bikkies for a pint. However with us coming over for a special occasion we decided to do what you brits call go big or go home! A few stubbys later and we felt great! Truly a beautiful establishment with very nice staff and a brilliant selection of Plonk. Would highly recommend a visit and will definitely be coming next time we visit the Uk. With love from down under!

This spacious Nicholson's pub is conveniently located near Chancery Lane tube station. It has what is an increasing rarity in British pubs these days: a bar billiards table! I haven't tried the food, though I suspect it's the standard Nicholson's offering.

Delicious aroma of spiced and mulled cider pervading the bar on a cold wet Tuesday lunchtime. Slightly disconcerted by the poltergeist moving my pint glass (see video). Recommended

Booked a private function downstairs. The private room is brilliant, has it's own bar and is large. The food was so delicious (festive menu). We will definitely be back. Special thanks to Brian who is a real credit to this place; so friendly and chatty and actually all the staff are lovely.

This first time visiting “the Hatton” pub, arrived around 4 on a Friday night to meet up for a drink with work friends from far and wide, the pub was quiet to start with so drinks were easy to get at the bar, their was a large works Christmas party that turned up later this meant the bar became incredibly busy, the bar staff were working really hard to get to everyone but it was slow but nothing they could do the staff were working really hard to get to everyone as quickly as possible. The atmosphere was buzzing in there that Friday, with lots of laughter and everyone being friendly and enjoying their night out, the seating area out the front of the pub was large mostly undercover and would be a great place to enjoy a drink or food. I personally didn't eat there but the food did look very nice. The downstairs bar was also booked out for a Christmas function so didn't have the chance to go in there but that looked nice. Will definitely be making this a venue for another drink. Being in the print, hence why I chose the Hatton a few of the older guys remember the pub being built so there was lots of talk about how it used to be a department store before, the printers and engineering staff if the print didn't really go in the Hatton as they didn't like them wearing their overalls in there😂. Still great pub did get loud in there towards the end but this all added to the atmosphere

It's not a michelin star restaurant, but we all know that. The food is standard, but the people serving are special, and the beer is very good for a chain. It's always nice when a pub that's part of a big company in the Square Mile feels like a local. Matty and Greg are professional and personable. It was a great night and lots of fun.

Clean and tidy pub, and the staff are so accommodating. It's a dog friendly pub which is great. Bartender had a chat to me about my dog and offered him water, which was a lovely touch.

The staff were just so helpful, warm and friendly - special shout out to Brian, who looked after us. The food was really excellent - and everyone was complimentary about what they ordered - from the Nut Roast, right through to the Turkey dinner. Starters were great and the desserts were great. I thought the prices were very reasonable too. Overall really excellent!

Brilliant pub, come here regularly for lunch! They have a great lunch sandwich deal, that comes with a sandwich side and drink. Ideal for quick work lunches. I always have good service when I visit, particularly from Rahul behind the bar, who is conscientious and attentive. The pub is great for after work drinks as well

Great pub. Great food. The Nicholsons Burger is amazing. Probably the best beef burger I’ve ever had.

Good selection of beers, decent burgers, especially their signature Nicholson's one and plenty of seating outside, even a couple of sofas!🍔🤤🤩 Bit pricey though but the Mon-Fri 50% off meals deal the burgers cost less than £8 each so that's not bad.

I come here every Tuesdays as part of London on Board (Board game meetup) we love it there. My experience is only in the downstairs (booked out) so my experience may differ. It has fairly decent lighting, staff are responsive, so I never had to wait more than 5 minutes for order / food, and they never lost my food once, and the orders are completed usually very promptly. Speaking of food, I like the generous portion when I go for the large fish and chips. At £16, it is at the upper end of what I usually go for, but since the portion is very generous, and it is also at the upper end in quality too, I would gladly put it in my top 3. I almost always order fish and chips at pubs (it's hard to go wrong with it) so it's a genuine complement. The vibe is very chill, the location is good. I would highly recommend. I don't drink though so I can't comment on that.

Huge pub with very nice outdoor seating. Great selection of beers too. Location is off the busy roads so highly recommended for a decent quiet pint or two!

First time visiting today (from the U.S.) and loved this place. Our food was excellent and our waitress made sure we had our food served to us outside and she cleaned up afterwards. I wish I'd left my tip for her and given it to her directly. Hope to see you again soon sometime.

Large cellar bar under a modern office block in Leather Lane, very near Chancery Lane tube. Good for groups especially early in the evening. Reasonable choice of real ales often including Nicholson's own brand (I think brewed by St Austell). Not cheap but considering the area this is not surprising.

Good pub with a selection of different ales and spirits. The toilets are downstairs so 2 small flights and steps into the bar mean its not very accessible but has a good number of seats inside and out.

Fantastic place. Clean, great atmosphere and friendly staff. Was served the best pint of guiness I've ever had by Matty. Will definitely be visiting again.

Visited the pub a few weeks back to enjoy some food and drinks. Its a nice pub with a great atmosphere. Very friendly and helpful staff, this stands out to me as I was only visiting the area. I remember being served by Faith who was lovely, professional and qu,ick with service when ever I ordered drinks. Brian was also very helpful with my food order as I was undecided what to eat. I must say the food was delicious. When I'm next in the area I will definitely be a returning customer.

Had the best night! Place felt so jolly! with such lovely bar staff, I spilt my baby Guinness and they replaced it instantly. Great, fun place, specifically sterling job from bartender Matty

After booking a table after scanning lots of pubs nearby choose here as it had a wide range of foods as daughter had allergy and it had a good selection she could eat. On arrival was hugely disappointed to find they had a reduced menu with hardly any choices May I suggest that you make this very clear on your website and follow up if people book a table.

I had been contact with Toby and Pete for months in trying to organise an event for my workplace. Both were incredibly polite and helpful over email and on the phone, even when there were a few hiccups with other parties also wanting to book on the same dates. Still they were very accommodating and disclosed plenty of information when it came to allergens and ingredients. In terms of the actual event, it was very nicely delivered in the cellar bar. The food was exemplary and those serving were informative and friendly. The venue was a very nice spot to hang out in as well. If I have to book this pub again for an event again I wouldn't hesitate. Maybe just a bit of feedback that might help in the future. It might be helpful if alcohol was used less in the vegetarian food as some of the guests I had couldn't eat the items because that wouldn't make it halal. However, this is a very minor point that didn't affect me personally, and I would recommend this place to anyone.

Was served by Charlie yesterday and he was lovely! So patient with my order considering how busy it was, and was VERY good at making my Tee-total drink look like an actual Gin and Tonic! Abhi and Will were brilliant today too! Have an amazing knowledge about the drinks on offer, and are LOVELY to chat to while the bar was (relatively) quiet. All 3 are brilliant customer service colleagues

A fine Nicholson's pub named after QE 1s favourite "The Dancing Chancellor" who lived next door and gave his name to the nearby Jewellery quarter. A fine pint and excellent service from staff who seem pleased to be emerging from the extended lockdown period. A great pub for groups with plenty of seating inside and out. There is also a dining room downstairs (not in use when I was here)

We work on High Holborn over the road from The Christopher Hatton and often spend our Tuesday and Thursday lunchtimes there. Our group size ranges from 5 people to 20 people depending on the occassion! We love the meal deals where you can have a sandwich and a pint for £10. The staff are very friendly and very attentive. The food is good too, very quick and tasty! We also visit after work a lot on Thursdays and it can tend to be difficult to get a table as its so busy, so I think on Thursdays especially they should open up the bar downstairs perhaps? In the summer the outside is always rammed, so perhaps a pop up beer tap to get served pints faster would be good? Also a few more tables for the summer months. Over all we absolutely love the pub and spend probably way too much time there, the only reason we ever choose a different pub as a group is to watch sport. Unfortunately the Hatton doesnt show any sports, not even terrestrial tv sport like the FA cup. If they could especially this summer with thE Euros and Olympics, Wimbledon etc that would be AMAZING. Great pub, brilliant staff, amazing grub.

Great downstairs room for a pub quiz, very spacious and set up for us ahead of time by the team. Aidan was excellent and provided a very high level of service, including joining in with some of the quiz rounds. Would recommend!
