👍👍 I love being on the common with my dogs. I rarely join the march around the perimeter road preferring instead to follow the mown paths around the edges or dropping down on the well maintained paths along Whyteleafe Bank, in awe at the swathes of cowslips (right now) and all the other wild flowers em... I visited here in June 2022 as part of walking the London Loop route around London. This had open space and woodlands to explore.

Great place for a walk, can get busy at the weekend if it's a nice sunny day. Plenty of options for flatter walks or routes with some hills.

Lovely open common which is next to Kenley airfield. Ideal for walking your dog (or just walking yourself).

A lovely place for a walk with plenty of options - woodland, grassland and some more tricky paths also. Bring the kids to watch the gliders also on a good day! Nice pubs locally also (*see my other reviews 🤣)

Great dog walking place. Woodlands, fields and tarmac paths. Can get busy during weekends and bank holidays. Note that aerodrome part can be closed off if weather is good and gliders are working.

Such a great place to go for a walk, run, cycle or walk the dogs. There are many areas to walk and explore and never feels busy. Watching the gliders taking off and landing is something different too.

Lovely area with trees, fields, and the aerodrome right next to it - lovely for a stroll with or without a hairy companion

London has few precious outdoor places/spaces that need protecting. This is one.

Beautiful common with lots of open space to explore, wildflower meadows and fascinating history - there is a heritage trail with new information boards all around the airfield.

Great place to walk and cycle and the information boards about the airfield are very good

I love being on the common with my dogs. I rarely join the march around the perimeter road preferring instead to follow the mown paths around the edges or dropping down on the well maintained paths along Whyteleafe Bank, in awe at the swathes of cowslips (right now) and all the other wild flowers emerging from the cleared slopes. There has been an amazing amount of clearance over the past 10 years, creating new paths, views, accessibility etc. The common is so much more than the airfield and I highly recommend following new paths and exploring.
