The accoustics of this hall is very good but there's a noise limiter set to 80 decibels. So, if you have a live band for your party, DO NOT chose this venue! Also, you have to pay a minimum of £5 to park your car for the day. There's no free parking for guests.

The room was clean and tidy. And check in was smooth. All info was provided and help was given promptly when asked. We stayed for 3 nights and had a good stay. The only thing which left a bitter taste in this whole experience was a staff at breakfast on our last day( Friday) . I am unable to have any solid food first thing in the morning, and asked at reception on our first day whether a grab and go back can be arranged and I can have my hot drink at table with my family. The staff were really nice and provided me with grab and go bag for me for 2 mornings. The final morning when I asked for a grab and go, a rude gentleman plainly refused. He was unpleasant and abrupt. Finally the lady at the reception and another lady staff at the breakfast area sorted the problem swiftly by getting me a bag. However this man staff never apologised after the incident. Well, I guess there is always one in a competent staff group who tends to be awkward and biased. Kudos to other staff who work hard and are competent. Generally a good stay, equipped with good travel options. We took the tube easily into central London from Newbury park.

Considering this is a budget hotel, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the rooms - a little dated perhaps but a solid offering for the price - and the location is ideal as a base for onward London travel. The room is immaculate. COVID training has paid off and I'd encourage the property to maintain this level of care post-pandemic. I can't provide comment on the breakfast - I was a very late check-in (the reception dealt well with my 50% functioning self), and so slept right the way through on a very comfortable double bed!

Stayed here over 3 nights with 7 people across 3 rooms as we needed to be near King George Hospital and were unfamiliar with the area (coming from Australia). My wife and I then stayed on for another 2 nights before the entire group found better value accommodation closer to KGH as we needed to stay quite a while to deal with a family issue. As an IHG member, I booked directly 3 standard rooms expecting a double bed in each. Arriving on a Friday evening, we got a somewhat annoyed reception manager who simply said "my system says 3 twin rooms". Despite clearly seeing so many of us, he proceeded to only provide 1 key card per room. 4 of us from AU and 3 from Malaysia after a sudden death in our family and hopping on the next available flight, we were in no mood for an argument after 30+ hours of travel though honestly, could have done with some empathy. In defence of the staff, all other staff throughout our stay were very friendly and professional. Rooms were a good size and a quick walk from Newbury park and supermarkets / 24 hour McDonalds. They were kept daily without issues. Beds were split and pretty uncomfortable beyond 1 night but given I stayed in 3 hotels all in this price range, it seems to be the norm for this money. Daily breakfast was a good spread with sufficient variety though no changes. Kitchen staff were particularly friendly and accommodating which was very welcomed. There is also a large lobby area if you need to congregate in groups. Overall, not a bad choice if you get their lower pricing which generally needs 1 week in advance. We found significant variation in their pricing, from 60 pounds to 90+. At 60 pounds, a good choice. At 90+ there is much better value elsewhere if you don't need to be in this specific area. Had I known what I know now, although this one one of the few 'branded' hotels in the area, it doesn't quite have the hotel chain feel. Therefore, I'd go to one of the boutique hotels that offer more for less instead and in my case, where much closer to KGH.

We used the venue king George conference centre toilets are not manned so dreadful dirty they should have stand by cleaners to check and clean toilets for functions as you pay a lot for the hall

This was the first time we had stayed at this hotel. The staff were very friendly, nice and helpful 👍. The room was good however it could have done with a painting. The curtains were shabby. But the most disappointing thing was the toilet kept getting blocked we feel the hotel needs to look into their system and hopefully get it sorted. Apart from that we had a very nice stay and will definitely stay there again.
