It does the basics right (well maintained rooms, good location) but for our 200 quid a night we expect more: - No fridge in room - No daily housekeeping, our room wasn’t cleaned once. - No room service - No water bottle in room - Bathroom wasn’t all that clean on arrival, the counters had stains on them. Do better, Hilton.

The hotel is situated in a quiet area, with easy access to nearby commercial hubs. The event halls are capable of hosting a variety of ceremonies and events and the staff is attentive . The ground floor restaurant offers a pleasant international menu as well. There is also a public parking lot opposite to the hotel with ample parking spaces.

The location is very good. Nearby there are the shopping centers and thames River side with lots of bars and restaurants. The new Malden is also quite close and easily accessible to many restaurants such ask Korean and Asian foods. The room is quite spacious and hotel bar is also ok. But the menus in the breakfast is not as good as the hotel. There are some issues with the flexibility for making changes for the invoice based on the customer requirements. Make execuses due to the system not good. And there are quite some noises near by due to the train rail roads to make u wake up.

We stayed with family for two nights. I want to express my deepest thanks to Camila and Gabrila at reception. They made our stay at most comfort and upgraded our stay. I would recommend to the hotel to add a Concierge to help guests in the luggage and other matters. Thanks Camila and Gabrila again

Stunning hotel in every aspect Entrance, reception, bar and dining all very well kept and clean. Rooms are greatly spacious and spotlessly clean. The bed was a little firm (for me) however I slept really well. The restaurant was vast and evening staff (Nelson I believe was the gentleman’s name) were extremely knowledgeable and helpful with my vegan options. Breakfast was good although vegan options are very basic. I would definitely recommend

Very good rooms and you can get the windows opened to get fresh air, by signing a form(UK has o freedoms basically). Breakfast has lots of choices but tasteless. Food is simple , organic and a few quality ingredients should be the normal. Gym should be bigger. Also please get rid of the 2 plastic water bottles, use glass bottles

Really great stay, good location close to town (3-5 mins walk), 8mins to the train station and really nice Riverside walk behind the hotel. The room was really spacious and clean. The breakfast downstairs was lovely, large range from full English buffet to oatmeal, pancakes and fruit. Good menu selection from Hawksmoor and WiFi was very good to work from both in the room and in the lobby. We also managed to get late checkout at 1pm which was incredibly helpful given our work schedule. The only issue was that many of the staff were trainees so checking in and out took a while but staff were friendly so it wasn't a bother.

I enjoy of service, staff very effective and professional. Clean and well equipped room. Apart of noise air-conditioning over night, everything was of 5 star. Many thanks

We had a business meeting here and the hotel is absolutely lovely. The staff were extremely helpful and the food delicious. I would recommend it to anyone. It is very convenient to walk to from the train station.

Location is outstanding, the room was acceptable and security was good but service was pretty bad. Several parties were held during our stay: the music was so loud we could not hear our TV and the bar and restaurant shut down all room service - some notice would have neen nice. Housekeep was also very slow (>12hours) to clear trash and dirty dishes from the halls.

We had a dinner party for Christmas .I didn't like the food which was turkey with vegetables. They were just cooked without any herbs or salt . They didn't have any music and I felt boring .

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in a linked family room which was perfect for a family stay (2+2). Hotel was well presented and very clean. All of the staff we met were lovely and very helpful. Breakfast was great with everything you would expect. Stayed for tea 1st night as arrived late in London. Food was good and staff were very accommodating to my sons allergies. 5 minutes walk to train station with regular trains into city. Great shopping centre directly over the road from hotel. Overall great stay. We would definitely stay again. Paul McCormick (Widnes U.K)

Terrible noise for sleeping with the trains and delivery drivers leaving engines running at 0600 for an hour. Staff were awful totally inept with no customer service, would strongly advise not staying and avoid horrific management. Another world renowned brand ruined by incompetent uncaring staff.

Quite a nice place near Thames. Classy but classic, some renovating, e g. Carpet renewal, would do good. Super friendly personnel meets a bit outdated menue and looks.

Beautiful hotel. From gorgeous reception and bar to the room itself. Comfortable beds, large TV. Large walk in shower. Absolutely spotlessly clean. Food was delicious.

I have stayed at this hotel a few times now and it is always a great experience. Kenje is truly the best! Always providing an excellent service and going above and beyond. It is such a pleasure to see her every time I come here. I look forward to seeing her every time.

Good hotel in the centre of Kingston. Close to station, river and shopping. Good English breakfast. Some rooms are better standard than other with coffee machine etc., but you can tell by the price when booking. Sometimes noisy at night due to wedding reception, so ask for a higher floor. Not 1/2.

The best Double Tree I have stayed in. Modern comfortable room. USB charging points. Large well positioned TV. The bathroom had a large walk in shower. A special mention for Daniel on reception for his help. Being close to Kingston centre makes it an ideal base for getting in to London. Probably the only negative is the bar prices.

Nice comfortable hotel with easy access to Bentall Centre Kingston town centre. The breakfast buffet was just right with variety for breakfast. The warm welcome cookie on arrival I quite liked, wonder what Hilton welcomes with in Lagos? Now I am curious

Good Central location, but quiet. Comfy beds and spacious rooms. Best of all though are the staff who are amazing, so helpful and friendly.

Come here for work and the hotel is situated near a multi storey so that's good. (Locks at 11pm and you have to pay for parking) Rooms are nice looking and gym is great. The bed I had was humongous so was able to sleep diagonally as I'm tall. You also get a lovely gooey warm cookie on turning up which is awesome after a 3 hour drive and being tired and hungry! Down points as location is next to a rail bridge so can hear trains and I woke up a lot when the trains stopped at night and got quiet as was used to noises. Brekkie is standard the croissants are great and like the extras of pancake and waffle area

The staff were great. But the hotel is definitely not 4 star. No fridge in the rooms. Lighting was also poor. The breakfast was average and the hotel is dated looking after you head to the rooms. Expected much better for the price. Location to shops and restaurants is very good literally a short walk to Bental Mall and the local pubs and eateries.

Very clean rooms. Room service is super efficient. Wish the closet was bigger. No complimentary water. No fridge. In the heart of the city center. Train station is just 3 minutes away from the hotel by walking. Very nice lobby

Great location. But service is not much. Asked for daily cleaning, the housekeeping skip cleaning where i have to call front desk to remind them or ask for towels, etc.. No one can help with luggage. I wouldn't book again unless i am out of options in the area.

The upgraded bedroom was very comfortable, spacious and quiet. We were also delighted to find the romantic atmosphere created by the lovely decorations that were left in our room. Many Thanks to Vadim and Archie, the steak was lovely cooked, the cocktails well-balanced, great ambiance. Many Thanks to Daniel and his team, Whynosha and her lovely receptionist colleagues were all outstanding. They went over and beyond to ensure that our stay was pleasant. See you all next time! x

Towels need to be washed with proper detergent, even when changed, they smelled awful. On a positive note the staff from front desk to restaurant was great.

Really nice hotel. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good. The bar area was nice and was well stocked with some unusual spirits. All the staff I interacted with were friendly and efficient.

Come for Chelsea flower show. 4*Hotel, though I've not stayed in a hotel for a long time. Appreciating Covid times I think I would rate this as 3*. Comfortable and clean.

Stayed here for a wedding. It was a nice clean hotel and room. We loved the welcome cookie and the breakfast was nice. We did find the room had a lot of noise from the wedding room. We could clearly hear all the songs. This is fine if you're at the reception till the end of the night but we had 2 young children who needed to sleep. We also found the main bathroom lights only went on when all lights are on again this wasn't helpful with young children sleeping.

Great one night stay at this hotel. Lovely staff, especially the Restaurant Maitre D'. Large comfortable air conditioned room, really quiet too. More info on car parking options should be posted on their website as parking is not on site.

Lovely clean room. Very comfortable bed and great shower. Lighting could be improved - found it difficult to find things (in suitcase for example) due to dim lighting. Very disappointed that no evening food was avaliable one of the nights of our stay. Meant we had to take toddler out for food in the evening . Plenty of places to go but not ideal when he was tired. Breakfast was very good.

A well placed, well adorned Hilton DoubleTree hotel. The staff are friendly and the foyer is welcoming. A great place to have a coffee and catch up, in a chilled and comfortable environment. Why 3 stars? During the week the restaurant closes for lunch at 2pm. 2pm?! In a hotel! And the coffee is really average.

Very enjoyable stay at a very comfortable and relaxed hotel. The room was comfortable and spacious with an incredible bed. It is quiet and peaceful even though you are not far from the railway line or the town centre. Wi-Fi was strong and fast, and the desk space in the room perfect for spreading out over. Parking is not included and you have to park at the paid multi-storey nearby at no reduction.

Arrived here for one night on 18th December. I booked it 10 days previous to arriving and during that time I received an email to ask if I wanted to upgrade to include a late checkout, breakfast and higher room. I agreed to all of these. Upon our arrival we noticed a sign on the reception desk advising guests that the restaurant was closed that evening (for a private party). In addition to this there was only pizza or curry available for room service which was finishing at 9pm. A week before Christmas it was then impossible to get a booking at a decent restaurant. We weren’t happy with the situation and felt we should have been told this at the point of booking. After all, they were quick enough to send an email about upgrades! When we returned to the hotel early evening we were shocked to see that all the tables and chairs in the bar area had been removed and there was a disco being set up. So in fact not just the restaurant, but the bar area too was not available. Our room was freezing and when we phoned reception we were told that they operate the room temperature from downstairs. Is was 18th December and freezing cold that weekend so why wouldn’t they have set the heat at a comfortable temperature in the first instance. In addition to this we had to request toiletries as there was only one small item of each kind left in the bathroom. Also only one set of towels. Just not what I would expect from the Hilton. I have emailed and received communication back to say “sorry “. But this isn’t good enough. We are local people and have enjoyed coming to this hotel for drinks and food since it opened but have never had the opportunity to stay until recently. We booked the room together with an expectation to be able to use the restaurant and the bar as without these what was the point. Had we been made aware of this we would have gone elsewhere. You have totally undervalued the paying guests that evening in favour of a private party which isn’t fair. I would like a refund and some proper communication, not just the standard” sorry to hear etc etc”

Great location as we were visiting relatives just outside London but still needed to get into central London. Good selection of local restaurants within walking distance and only a few minutes from Kingston railway station. Staff helpful and welcoming. Free warm cookies on arrival which were a nice surprise. Room comfortable and clean. Good selection of items for breakfast. Have stayed at other doubletree hotels before so was expecting a high standard and was not disappointed. Will definitely stay again.

This hotel is perfectly positioned for anyone visiting the area. The staff are lovely and very helpful. There is no parking on site, but there is a multi storey car park right next door, which is very secure and not expensive. The room was spotless, bed so comfortable, and food delicious. A perfect stay.

Wouldn't use again as not good quality of room ( queen size family room) for the money and was very noisy due to a party downstairs we weren't told would be happening. Breakfast was ok but not a massive selection. Staff were nice enough. Room had damage to it with wet patches in ceiling half painted over then looks like gave up. Scrapes of plaster missing from the wall. I liked the shower and location of the hotel but I wouldn't bother paying out for the best room.

Great service, clean room, smart tv wasn't very smart since there was no internet access on it but I should've brought a laptop. Didn't really have much to complain about, 200 for a night is kinda pricey but it's hilton so you're also kinda paying for the brand and expected high quality service.

Went to a wedding here. Had a great time, staff were on the ball. never left plates on the table to long but never hovered to make you rush. They catered for anything we asked for, the food was really nice. The only thing was the air-conditioning everyone was saying how hot it was. Also I did get told the rooms are expensive & so too is the car park, which I think they should not charge guests who are staying in the hotel for parking. As with most hotels drinks are expensive. But I loved my whole day & evening with my family.

Hotel is very middle of the road. No water or fridge in room. Very basically equipped fitness room. Food and breakfast left a lot to be desired. Clean enough but a little ‘frayed on the edges’. Good location and staff were on the casual side of friendly. Good for business, would not recommend for holiday.

Nice hotel. Disappointing you have to pay for parking separately. Room service menu rather limited which let's it down somewhat. Room itself was very nice but a view of a wall out the window (albeit they've tried to Make it more attractive with plants on the wall).

Lovely hotel and staff. Nice warm cookie on arrival. Rooms great. Menu a little limited, breakfast buffet great. No on site parking but you can use nearby Sainsbury's from 5.30pm till 8.30am for free.

The only thing that let it down was no fridge/mini bar in the room. Amazing staff, spotless clean, great food, warm and welcoming place and decent price. Close to plenty of shops, bars, restaurants, public transport. Would have gave 5 stars he'd there been a fridge in the room, we stayed for 3 nights so needed one for water etc...

Very nice hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Good location in Kingston near to the station, shopping centre and the river. I was in room 508 and it was quite noisy with the trains going by. I was using the digital key on the Hilton app and, while it worked, it would frequently need more than 1 attempt. Of course, this could be user error.

  • 2/5 Lisa C. 2 years ago on Google
This is a tired, very ordinary hotel. The room with a balcony was super small and does not come with a bar fridge, you need to request that. The phone did not make local calls, the linen and towels were quite worn. And it cost us a small fortune to stay there. So disappointed with our stay there. On the up side, Kingston is a lovely town on the Thames and the hotel accessed the town quite well.

We used the Doubletree Hilton for a large event in September 22 (and have also used their spaces for smaller events previously). They have been fantastic throughout. The Team are really responsive and go out of their way to help, both in the run up, and on the day. A MASSIVE thank you to the team for helping to ensure everything has run so smoothly.

Absolutely Terrible hotel don't stay here! Where do I start. First of all, electricity was out in our room for 3 days, and whenever we call they rarely answer, I have to go down to the lobby so they can bring someone up who would temporarily fix the electricity and then it goes back out again. This kept going for 3 days. The Hotel won't do housekeeping unless you tell them in the lobby, and nobody told us that, when we were checking in, so the first 4 days (13 night stay) we didn't get housekeeping. And then even when I told them they ignored me and I went back to an unmade room until I called them and insisted it was made. Forget about sleeping in late at this hotel because they have terrible metal carts with steel wheels for housekeeping, that are awfully loud when pushed in the corridor just outside our door, that will definitely wake you up. The receptionist was so rude when my wife was asking her if her package was delivered, at first she ignored her and went back to the people checking in, then when my wife went to her the second time; she so was rude and telling her we didn't recieve anything even though my wife was trying to show her a proof of delivery(picture) that it was delivered. The paint in the room is chipping away, which gives you the feeling that the hotel is old and room is not well serviced. The bed is extremely uncomfortable, the mattress is too bouncy, and the pillows are too soft they don't provide any support. All in all it was a terrible experience, I rarely leave any bad reviews on anything, I rarely leave a review of anything at all, but this was just too much considering I'm paying over 2200 pounds staying in Kingston which is not the most expensive places to stay. They also didn't any Hilton honors points for my stay.
