Lacked basic amenities in the bathroom such as toilet roll holder, bin and towel rail. We were not provided with a bath mat either. Whole place needs a redecoration really.

Don't book this hotel. They cancelled my reservation just 20 minutes before my arrival. When I came to hotel, someone already took my room (the last one). Manager was not around, he was quite rude in the phone, that he is not going to talk to a guest and it's up to reception to solve it. Completely un-professional and place I will never use again and this I also recommend to others.

Much better room than my last stay here. Having shopped around online, for the same price, I got a double room with "courtyard view", rather than the single room next to a main road I had last time. The room was reasonably modern, the bed was decent and it was pretty quiet too. Cleanliness didn't appear to be an issue. The one drawback was that the toilet doubled up as a shower, which was weird. It was fine and seemed pretty clean, but I've never had a shower while my leg was brushing the front of a toilet before. Overall, worth what I paid for it. This is my 7th overnight stay in London this year and I can confirm that there are much worse places to stay at this price.

I booked through booking.com and had some expectations for the hotel. Unfortunately all of my expectations became a dream. The hotel is very dirty and very old. The elevator was just very small and very old, but most of all I didnt feel safe in it. Maybe it was because of the sounds it was making I don’t know. I would not recommend to go to this hotel it is bad, and not clean. There was even mold, when I showed it to an employee he literally said it was nothing. But he didn’t move it away. So disappointed, in this place never go back here!!!

Cheap hotel in a convenient location. Room is small but perfectly usable. Bathroom just a tad too small to get around comfortably. Staff quite friendly and helpful. But noisy at night from the road so bring ear plugs. Overall good value for money and excellent for those needing the train station. A great budget option near king's cross. Recommended.

The service was lovely, but the hotel needs a lot of attention. The bathrooms were clean, but the furniture was VERY shabby, walls were marks and needed redecorating. Really wasn't comfortable walking bare foot around the room as was her unsavoury. Blinds were taped together with many dirt marks all over. It was cold due to a draft where the window wouldn't shut and there was no hot water in the morning. The tap leaks all night and you feel like you are parallel to the underground as you hear and feel every train go by.

Get what you pay for, room was average but it was good value and in a good location. The carpet in room was filthy but we were just laying our head for the night so wasn't an issue for us. Certainly not sure if our "superior double room" which we booked and paid for was justified in that it only had a 3/4 bed and the mattress is one of those cheap IKEA style ones but as I say, you get what you pay for and it was a great location for us.

Room is big enough for 3 persons but the carpet need some cleaning. Found ants at toilet and the shower area is very small till you will accidentally knock on the faucet and turn to the hot water. Location is a bit noisy as you can hear cars passing by. Overall, no complaint for a quick night stay and with the price we paid.

Treated incredibly poorly by staff. Don't think the staff understand how most hotels work when it comes to checking out and holding bags. Had to tolerate a lot of awful attitude before deciding they're not worth it. Also all the furniture in our room was broken/falling apart. Continental breakfast was pretty poor. Would rather sleep rough on the streets to be honest.

Pictures have nothing to do with reality. Rooms are disgusting, toilet is right under the shower, water doesn't drain after showering. Rooms feel like 2 square meters in size, mattresses and pillows are extremely old and worn out. Breakfast has no value and staff is absolutely unfriendly. Would avoid this hotel.

I had superior room with two single beds. Room was in basement. Way to room was down tight stairs. It was a little maze to my room for first time. Room was nice and tidy with tv. It was cold and night, heating seems to be not working. First night there was no shampoo and shower gel in bathroom but after tiding they filled it. Breakfast were good.

Perfect located near King's Cross and St Pancras, a lot of shops near by. Staff was very friendly, gave us a bigger room when we asked. Rooms are clean and fine for a few days, beds are comfortable, only the bathroom a bit too small and without any shelves, not that good for two girls ;-) Breakfast is continental with toast, croissants, jam, variety of juices, coffee, tea. Good start for the day! Reception is open 24hrs. and we could leave our luggage there free of charge after check-out. Would definitely come back! Thanks for the nice stay!

Nice budget place to stay. It’s basic but it has everything we needed. I’d go back.

Handy for King's Cross railway station and tube station so travelling to the sites of London is easy. The rooms are furnished with tea and coffee making facilities. Biscuits were a bonus and replenished every day. Breakfast was continental but more than plenty of variety. Staff very helpful and friendly and service was quick. Check in was quick and easy.

Don’t book it. Please just don’t. Choose any other accommodation but not this one. It was so dirty and rundown we thought we might catch some really bad germs just breathing the air inside the building. The owner was utterly unfriendly and we decided to leave. Better not sleep in a “bed” in this “hotel”. It was expensive as duck and I really try to get a refund. So spare yourself the hustle of hate and disgust and just sleep somewhere else. Best, MrsKeroro PS: I don’t upload any pic because you might vomit instantly and I don’t wish that to you.

It was clean and had a hot shower and private bathroom. Nothing else you really need at a good price for a weekend away. Breakfast was disappointing but its all changed at the moment with covid and staying clean. Would stop here again, only a 10 minute walk to kings X.

We stayed at the Swinton Hotel on the weekend for one night as we were going to a party nearby and I would be too late to travel back the same evening. We looked at staying in a Travelodge (one 2 minute walk away from this hotel) but decided we wanted to 'treat ourselves'. We paid almost 100 pound for a double room and breakfast in the morning. I rang the hotel prior to arriving and spoke to the man on reception who was very polite and helpful. When we arrived we was also greeted by another man who was very polite. The hotel seems secure and the reception staff have to buzz people in as they enter. However, when we entered our room we were deeply disappointed. The room was small, extremely basic and cold. Really not worth 100 pound per night. The cleanliness of the room was also shocking, layers of dust on the lamps, dirty tea cups and feces stains all the the toilet! Breakfast was also extremely basic. I was aware before attending that it was a continental breakfast and that there would be no cooked foods. However it was even worse than we thought. You was asked when you sat down if you wanted tea or coffee and what toast you wanted. There was then a trolley with three levels with bowls of cereal and croissants on. The bottom shelf was just an inch from the floor meaning you had to bend right down to see what was on the shelf or to pick it up. Furthermore, the toilet downstairs (near reception) was also very dirty. Soap was spilled everywhere and there was urine all over the toilet and floor. Not pleasant. On check out day the hotel staff did look after our baggage in the reception room which we were grateful for so we could enjoy a Sunday out. Overall- staff we helpful and friendly. Hotel cleanliness needs a lot of work. Would not return.

Breakfast was good. Service was fine. The rooms were HORRIBLE. I almost tripped against the bed coming through the door out of the tiny hallway. The shower is the entire bathroom and the water didn't drain so ended up with 3cm of water all over the floor. The window was so drafty, it sounded like it was open, even when closed. The bed and pillows were extremely firm. The floor was old and dirty carpet I was afraid to touch.

Accommodation not fit for purpose. Cobwebs, feet sticking to floor in bathroom, old worn out furniture with varnish worn off and cup rings on bedside table, musty smelly wardrobe, bare light bulb no shade, large stains on the end of the bed!! Absolutely shocking. This trip was supposed to be a birthday weekend treat in London for us. The man on reception told me twice that I hadn't ordered breakfast, I think expecting me to add it. There was no customer service, just shouts Push when you press the intercom, no smile or welcome and told us if we left the hotel we were to hand our key to our room in (very unusual). Room was in the basement, corridors and carpet dirty, dark and worn. Bedding piled high in corridor which we literally had to walk on to get past. The "courtyard" filled with junk, wet floor signs, burnt out cardboard box, carpet grippers, mattress, broken garden furniture, it looked horrendous.
