The cafe looks cool from the outside, but once you come inside its not super special. They play super loud music and can be very crowded sometimes. Some furniture need reparations. Plugs are not evenly distributed. It can also get a bit cold because they have an open backyard and wind just blow through. The ground level is not an ideal place to study or meet friends, but quite nice to just sit and start your day. But oh, the toilet is nice. You'll be inspired.

A very nice coffee shop inside the bookstore which offers good quality coffees & sandwiches & other quick bites. Very casual setting & yet very soothing with many plants being placed inside the cafe. They have a small courtyard if customers prefer to sit in open air.

Nice cafe, attached to fantastic bookshop. Our experience was ok, but wish staff knew what pastry they have - the picture shows a raisin bun but was labelled “cinnamon bun” and really we should have taken it back for mis- selling but it was reasonable enough. Espresso was decent and outdoor seating was lovely.

Local haunt for the UCL crowd. Usually quite busy! The cakes are great (I've had the carrot and banana) and the coffee is good too. Service is average I guess but it is a busy area. The ambience is pretty poor, and also it's not hugely comfortable.

Some of the worst coffee I've ever had. So bitter and burnt. The prices seem cheaper than other places but the sizes are much smaller. My flat white was £3.15 but the size of a cortado. The coffee to milk ratio was completely wrong. The queues are very long and at peak morning time there were only 2 people working there. It's also not efficiently designed as you have a queue for ordering then you have to wait awkwardly in an area where people are coming and going to collect your drink/food and some people go to find a table first which then causes confusion when the drink order is called out as they aren't there to collect it. There is lots of seating available but the place is so noisy you couldn't possibly sit down and do any work. Also the chairs are uncomfortable. Tables aren't cleared or cleaned regularly. Signs absolutely everywhere telling you to mind your belongings so I imagine theft is a big issue.

It is a lovely space, great coffee and food. Plugs to work making working on your laptop possible, but the music is just terrible. Not only bad taste for the environment a bookshop cafe calls for, but also too loud…

Nice cafe in a bookshop, with lots of students and other people who work in the universities around the area. Good spot for coffee and a bit of working. Reasonable coffee, although not paying attention that it will be hot. Lots of space and tables.

Delicious Latte, friendly staff, and an energetic bulletin. Besides, I like the plants on the bar table! People seem enjoy chatting with friends here, so if you prefer somewhere quiet, here may not be your top choices. If you could endure some background chatting, this cafe provides steady Wi-Fi & relaxing music. And the bookstore's just next door! The only tiny problem is that the chair I sit on doesn't quite fit in the height of the bar table.

Good coffee, but honestly, it’s a miracle if they have filter coffee after 11am. As a student, I think it’s quite pricey for the amount of coffee you get (hence why I usually get filter coffee), and it’s so tiring and disappointing to queue for 5 mins, just to find out they’re out of filter coffee nearly every time. Staff are always nice and the coffee is really good! Would just be super useful for customers if they could put a sign under to indicate what they are out of so I don’t have to keep on wasting my time queueing up for nothing!

Good coffee shop, been here too many times to count. The staff were not as friendly as the previous bunch, but maybe it was too early in the morning for them...

Very good vibes, reasonably priced, banger music. I wish they could add more staff so that the lines wouldn’t be so slow. I love this place, but it would be even better if they can do their matcha in ceremonial grade instead of culinary grade for the color and taste x

I’m a regular visitor and generally have a good experience (love the outdoor area). However recently has gone downhill especially with the service, often has barely any staff even when there’s a queue out the door! I had one nasty experience when I visited with my friend and she ordered the scone with jam and cream, after waiting ages the barista said they had it but gave her an expired pot of cream and further refused to replace it, it had gone solid and curdled. Be careful of the food! I love the coffee though and will continue to visit.

Great place for a cafe attached to huge Waterstones bookshop. Even more excited when I tasted the sour cherry gluten free cake. I was told by the staff made by the Exploding Bakery. Delicious

Cute café right in the Waterstones bookstore. Friendly staff and good coffe. Also they have an offer that if you buy one of the monthly books you’ll get a hot drink for free!

Dillons Coffee is ok. The coffee isn’t great - they have no idea how to make a flat white, and the service is slow. Despite being busy they are extremely inefficient at making coffee. If you’re looking for coffee better than a large chain with an ok student discount then you’re in the right place. If you want a good coffee time to look elsewhere.

Flat white was weak and lukewarm, cinnamon bun would've been nice had it not come straight out of the fridge

Fantastic little coffee shop inside Waterstones. Very student friendly with ample seating and outlets. Delicious coffee and a cosy environment make this the perfect place to spend an afternoon

Pretty good coffee, staff were struggling with the pressure but no complaints. Can get very busy.

Cafe was cute, nice atmosphere, not outrageous prices HOWEVER a woman did try to steal my phone off the table (asking me to sign a piece of paper, covering my phone with it and tried to take it) so be careful. Apparently this is a semi-regular problem here…

I was there just a few hours ago and would never go back. Flies surrounded all the cakes; they were flying and standing on them. We let the staff know about it, and the cashier replied, "yeah, sorry, we have some problems with flies," and did nothing to take the cakes away or cover them. It is entirely unacceptable for a place to be able to sell food under those conditions, and even worst that the staff did nothing even when a customer raised the topic. I do not recommend going there.
