Affordable afternoon tea and other bakery items (e.g. €7-8 for two bakery items and a pot of tea). Giving this place 3 stars because the service is in contrast to the value for money of the baked goods themselves. The staff seem to be quite unhappy most of the time and did not look welcoming to any guest including myself. Quality-wise, you get what you pay for - decent for the really affordable price range. The tomato and cucumber sandwiches were quite bland where the lemon cake was extremely sweet and heavily scented and colored. Probably would not go back but would not stop people from trying it, if they want value for money and to experience the quintessential British afternoon tea experience.

Lovely coffee shop with great variety of sandwiches, toasts, desserts, teas and breakfast options. Everything was very delicious, but we were slightly dissapointed with pancakes - way too dry even after after adding jams, fruits and spreads. Very good prices. Weekends are usually very busy, need to queue outside for a while to get a table.

I can easily say that they have the best scone I ever had. It's fresh and tasteful. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the marble cake I had. I have been there by the end of the day, maybe that's the reason. But the cake was a bit dry, not seemed to be fresh. However, I strongly recommend you to go there. It is a very nice place, the service is good and there is a good variety of food. I will be back soon to try different stuff.

I think they have the best scone so far! 一吃就馬上愛上了!They offering a reasonable price (super) with high quality tea set. We ordered their famous Devon Cream Tea Set come with scones and Muffin Man Tea Set, total cost less than £15. Although the staff recommended their chocolate fudge cake slice, but it was a-bit too dry for me, a little disappointed on this. But their scones are MUST MUST TRY!

The scones are nice but small compare to other teashop. The cakes are very sweet and dry. Definitely try the scones and probably the savoury (Breakfast). I’d say not a MUST go place if you are in London for couple of days but if you are a scone lovers definitely can try the scones there. Can’t do reservations but we went in a weekday afternoon around 3-4 there wasn’t a queue.

We had always love places that retain their own culture, and I think most people will agree with us how this establishment have kept that well. We can see the traffic is pretty busy in the morning, so we decided to pay it a visit during tea time. We loved that timing as it was less crowded and we could appreciate the details of the shop. There were plenty of posters that was retained well over the years. I know the footprint in the cafe is extremely high, perhaps a bit more cleaning would be good. Otherwise, a 5 star experience, we truly enjoyed our scones.

As a local, I’ve often seen long queues form outside the Muffin Man! Inside has a classic unassuming tearoom vibe, but it was the food that was a let down after the 30 minute wait. Afternoon tea includes a selection of tea, choice of three sandwiches (you get multiples of each), scones, and cakes. It’s quite a standard affair for an afternoon tea, and you get a generous amount of food that’s nicely presented. However, the scones honestly felt a little disappointing, and the cakes were especially dry and lacked any distinctive flavour. The staff were pleasant, but service was slow and we had to go up to the till to pay after waiting for a long time.

One of my favorite places in the city. They’re quite nondescript, but the service and food is impeccable. Very fair prices, and you can’t go wrong with anything you order. Staff is always very friendly and kind. Highly recommend!

There is always a long queue outside of this wonderful place and for a reason, a lot of reasons actually. The food is very wholesome and fresh, cooked to perfection and quickly. All the locals go there regularly including us. It’s slightly removed from the hustle and bustle of Kensington high street and this is enough to deter the horde of tourists who prefer the glitzy and more expensive chains of diners on the high street but they miss a whole lot of good food, incredibly quaint ambiance, a service that makes you want to go back every day and prices that defining value for money do not do justice to the quality per pound one gets. It is a gem worth visiting over and over again just to try and find which item in the vast menu is not up to the dizzying heights of quality the Muffin Man clientele is accustomed to. Highly recommended, and don’t worry about the queue even if there are 5 groups waiting in front of you, one never waits too long, actually the waiting makes the food even better with the condiment of anticipation! Happy dining!

Value for money, a popular shop so we waited outside for around 15 minutes arriving on a Saturday lunch hour. We’re a bit disappointing for their scone as that’s why we’re visiting the restaurant. However, their club sandwich taste good.

We had our breakfast here. Came before 8am and the had some queue in line. Clock strikes 8am and they open immediately. Have to be very careful when ordering for ma muslim because some dish contains bacon. But you can go for other options. Of course we had to try the scones and it was AMAZING! Fresh toasted scones smother with some cream and jam🤤🤤 i just wish they make their own jam it would be even more amazing. Great experience

All time favourite shop for Breakfast, brunch, lunch or even tea. Their scones with cream and jam was one of the best you can ask for in London. Fresh sandwiches was served and taste was absolutely amazing. Services was good but do go there early because it was always full house and with queue.

Was given a 15% off discount for being a student even though I was a non-UK resident! The scones were some of the best I’ve ever had and I would highly recommend the cucumber tea sandwich which was my personal favorite of the course! The cakes weren’t anything too special, but still good. Although it was super busy, the wait wasn’t long at all. I came as a party of two and our table was in the middle of two tables that were touching ours with other customers but even then the tables didn’t feel uncomfortably close ( it added to the atmosphere). It was a great call to stop here before our day at the nearby museums!

Been here 3 times. The best scone in town! One thing that will be the same is staff gesture. I hope they can put smiles on their faces and more welcoming.

20 minute wait but well worth it. The full English was great although no mushrooms or black pudding. The portion sizes were just right. The scones were airy and paired well with the jam and cream. Worth a visit if u want all day breakfast

We came around lunch time, there was a 20 minute wait but that was well worth it! Had a wonderful afternoon tea at a very fair price point. Very friendly staff, even though the store was packed the ambiance was great.

Food here is amazing - the scones & the Victoria sponge cake really is the best. BUT wished they were transparent. Ordered the scones but was also charged for the cream and jam despite not ordering for it. Was also overcharged for the “original muffin man sandwich” which was £4.95 on the menu but £5.35 on the bill.

Probably the best scones I've ever had ! I went there twice when i was visiting the UK. Both trips for breakfast. First trip on a weekend, went right on time during their opening hours, there were 6-8 tables in line (i was 2nd in line). And from that onwards i know that this shop is quite famous amongst locals as well. The first time i tried i ordered eggs Benedict and scones. The hollandaise sauce was a bit different from where i come from but dont get me wrong i enjoyed the taste, something new for my palette. The beefs here are halal (stated in the menu) but dont get mistaken it with bacon yes, the bacon here are still from pork . And i ordered the scones + complimentary tea (pot). The scones are to die for !! Crusty in one side, soft in the inside, pair it with their jam and cream YUMM ! *Chef's kiss 💯♥️ Really enjoyed my experience there. Second trip was on my last day in the UK, ordered just scones ! Unfortunately i think we received a short of 2-4 scones (usually a portion will get 4) but we didn't want to make a fuss because we were catching a plane. The taste remains superb 👍 the consistency of the cook im truly impressed. Just a few comments i could give is the colour of the walls made it feel a bit gloomy-ish? And we got served from the same waitress for both of my trips there and she wasn't friendly (maybe it's just how they talk there? Idk) Overall - best scones ever. Highly recommend if youre in London. 🇬🇧

We visited this place 12 yrs ago on our honeymoon and now we came back with our two girls. It's still the same. Delicious as always and so quaint. Love it and I'll be back.

Staff were friendly. The food is very nostalgic and classic. Tasty but not fancy. A charming experience. But don't expect fancy delicate cakes. Real homemade feel

The scones are very yummy, especially eat with clotted cream and jam. The spaghetti bolognese taste quite awful, other than that everything is good. Price is reasonable and cosy environment. Staff is polite with excellent service.
