Don't let the name fool you, this place is an absolute tragedy. We were given room 69, which was supposedly pretty good according to the manager. The older staff guy (who spoke not a word of English) brought us to the other building. As soon as the door opened we were hit in the face by a smell that reminded me of the Netflix show Dahmer... Absolutely horrible! The man seemed completely oblivious to the smell and continued upstairs to the room, gave us the key without saying a word and left. The room was very sad, old and NOT clean. The smell from the hallway was still very much present inside the room. So we did the only sensible thing we could. We booked a room in a hotel far away from this disaster and left. When we informed the staff they seemed completely unsurprised, like this happens daily. Please just spend £20,- more per night and get a decent airbnb or hotel. Just stay away from this place.

Stayed here for 2 nights on a work trip. Location is good, 10 minutes walk to tube station. Lots of food options in walking distance. Booked a single ensuite room which was functional but small.. very dated decor and slight shabby. Room was clean and warm. No lift but my room was on 2nd floor. Bathroom was nice and clean but there was no way you could use the toilet with the bathroom door closed!!!.. luckily, I was was on my own 🫣. I would stay again if I was limited for other options.

“Worst room in the whole world ” 1- They send me to Pearl Hotel without asking me, that’s incredible. I’ve booked Sapphire Hotel London no Pearl Hotel. There it’s no point. 2- Worts mattress ever, dirty, plenty of stains, very old and painful springs. Someone should shut down the hotel. It’s not able to host guest until they renovate the mattresses at least. Incredibly difficult to understand for me that the management don’t take care of this. They don’t won’t to give a compensation, THIS IS INSANE.

There are 4-5 hotels with different names next to each other. Sapphire hotel's door number is 35, but you get your hotel entrance key from 49. Then a very rude officer says you will stay here, not at the sapphire hotel. You accept and he sends you to a room. There are still hairs from the previous remnant on the bed in the room he sent. You go down and say, this room is filthy, give me a clean room. The officer gets angry with your request and sends you to another building 3-4 buildings behind as if punishing you. The new room he gave is very very small and the window won't open. You can die of suffocation. In short, let the 80 pounds I give be haram. A decent hotel. Terrible location and staff who treat customers badly.

First room was infested with ants. Second room had the smell of mold and what looked like mold in corner. Shower didn't drain. Everything was rusted over which meant there was an appalling smell and horrid amount of gnats. Shower pressure was a joke. Shower went from hot to cold constantly. "Staff" for this hotel is actually 7 houses over so you have to leave your hotel completely when you need something. Oh and if you shower with the door open the smoke alarm will go off. Beds are small and hard as a rock. Oh did I mention the spiders crawling on the headboard??? Worst experience ever

So, upon checking in, we had to go down a very narrow staircase. When I say narrow I mean my shoe size is a 41(UK 7) and only half of my foot would fit on one step. Now imagine getting your luggage either up or down the stairs.. hard work. When we first opened the door we were met with a big bedroom. For two girls an absolute dream. Windows were big and invited a lot of light in. Adding to that, the fan really helped in this hot weather👍 However, after looking a little more closely, we found stains on the drapes and carpet. Now the big problem follows. The bathroom. Small is the first thing that comes to mind but also lacking. Not only did we not have any cupholders of any sort but on the ceiling were unidentifiable stains. My cousin whom I was traveling with at the time and myself are not experts when it comes to ceilings, but the stains looked an awful lot like mold. BUT again, we are not experts! Now we get to the neighborhood... If you have Ohropax, you will live. On the other hand though, you can make a game on how many ambulances drive by on a daily basis. Overall, If you are planning on staying for just a few days it's endurable. If however you are planning on staying a little longer I don't think it is. The staff was very friendly and when we requested a knife to cut a Mango we were allowed to take a spoon for safety reasons. If we had any questions the would try to help and always put more tea and coffee in case we drank some. The staff is the reason this review is getting more than two stars. Hope this helped!

STEER CLEAR!!!! I had made two separate complaints about the serious mold issue in the mini fridge in my room DURING my stay. I was told both times that cleaning service would take care of it. They never did. The first photo is before I asked and the last one is the day before checking out. It was so bad I had to toss out my food to not risk anything. The smell and look was horrible. Room service did come in and addressed other things but left the mold. When I left they didn’t even ask about my stay or if anything was taken care of. I submitted a review before and they have deleted it. I will keep writing to warn people. They refused to reimburse me for anything regardless of the concerns. They lied to Expedia multiple times stating I didn’t complain about it and Expedia is doing nothing so now I have to escalate this legally on my end. They charged me almost $300 for the few days I was there and did nothing and are continuing to lie. I had originally left a Better review with more stars too, not doing that again and will not stop reviewing until they own up to their mistake. this wasn’t even the only complaint to make. So everyone beware and go somewhere else, also they are part of a chain like The Pearl Hotel is one of them too so do not go to any of the hotels on that block that are named after jewels they will all be the same. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!

It gave what it was supposed to give: a budget hotel in the heart of London where one can conveniently spend the night. Rooms and bathroom are tiny but for the price, I'm sure no one goes there for a vacation. Would recommend if you are looking for a cheap and decent place to stay the night in London.

Stay away! Avoid this hotel! Even for free none deserve this service! First of all, room is freezing cold. Temperature outside is -4 and hotel management didn’t turn on the heater!!! I couldn’t sleep all the night. Trying to contact with reception but none answered to phone and mail. Room wasnt same on pictures! wasn’t cleaned well, smells cigarette. The Bed isn’t comfortable and is very very old. I collapsed into the bed. I wanted to have tea to get some warm but inside of kettle was rusty!!! I couldn’t cancel my booking because my cousin booked non refundable by mistake. And hotel managers doesn’t wanted to cancel because of the money off course!!!!

Not impressed. A townhouse converted to a 'hotel', with the reception a walk down the road is not the ideal place to stay for a holiday. It's basically a hostel. Location is good as it's just 11 minutes walk from Sheperds Bush underground station and rail station

It's not made clear from the postings on hotel websites that this hotel is part of a group of budget hotels all on Shepherds Bush Road. I booked into this hotel but was given a room in a sister hotel down the road. Given the rates offered, expectations cannot be too high. The room was clean and there was a fridge. There were two fans which were welcome because it was quite warm the day I stayed. There is some issue with the waterworks of the building. I left the toilet seat up for an afternoon to find upon my return that there was an unbearable stench of sewage emanating from the bathroom. After flushing the toilet and putting the seat cover down, the smell abated. I went to the basement for a coffee in the morning and the sewage smell was noticeable in the breakfast room. Shower was fine, sufficient pressure and hot enough. I didn't use the hotel WiFi so can't comment on its speed. If you need a really cheap place to crash in London then this is a viable option. Staff are helpful and friendly. The location is a short walk from Shepherds Bush station and there are plenty of eateries in the area.

Good for a budget hotel and close to the station. Generally fairly clean, not the room that was originally pictured in the ad. basement room window has a camera on the outside but it definitely seems suspicious. so keep the whole curtain shut rather than the shade blind thing which you can see right thru the camera is really close to the window. And owner please note a hallway is a stupid place to store 15+ bags of linen and towels etc had to move them just to gain access and not trip as the bags were huge

Last minute booking in a decent central area of greater London with a great price to match. Perfect room with lovely soft bed linen and towels.

3 stars cos the location is in the middle of 2 underground stations so makes getting around rather easy. Check in was the same as what everyone else has already mentioned - we were asked to check in to another hotel 7 doors down (Pearl Hotel) with hotel rooms that looked nothing like the pictures posted upon booking. Not gonna lie, that was disappointing but as it was only a place for us to rest at night during our trip, it really didn't bother us too much. So if you don't care much about amenities and just need a place to rest your head at the end of the night before spending most of your time exploring the city, this is not a bad option. Bonus, there are 24-hour night buses that will take you back to the general area if you plan to be out late.

Overpriced for an average room. I paid £89 for 1 night. You can hear other people in the other rooms very clearly, noisy doors, floorboards, water etc. Plenty of hot water in the shower but that's about it. 2/5.

Worst hotel in London. Do not book!!!!!! This hotel should have 1 star max! One of the worst hotels I've ever experienced. Toilet and shower stinking from sewage, and shower head was broken. The bad was broken, with springs coming out, old and no back support. When I complained, nothing was fixed. Keep away!

Ok hotel in Shepard's bush and only 1 bus stop away from centre London. When we arrived we were told we needed to check in into the pearl hotel first which was fine but when arriving there was no reception only a room that looked very messy filled with bags and luggage with no kind of system. It look very unprofessional and very off-putting when you first arrive to book in. It reminded me more of a hostel kind of check in. the guy sat in the room said as we were 20 mins early they would put us in a room in the pearl hotel that they already had done up. He gives us our key and tells us were to go, we open the door to find it's a boxroom with a double bed that u can barely walk around and stains all over the carpet and a curtains missing. As you can imagine after paying £240 I was not impressed so went back down and said I'd rather wait for my room in the sapphire which they where fine with. When getting our room in the sapphire it was like a completely different hotel. Lovely big spacious room with giant bay windows that open up. As well as a fan on the wall which kept the room well ventilated. Bathroom was lovely and the pressure on water in the showers were amazing. However there was only 1 towl in the room and 1 pillow each so when going back down to the pearl hotel to get more towels and another pillow each we were told that we would be given fresh towels when they come in to change are bedding after the first night. However this never seemed to happen no matter how many times we would ask. On the first night I order a good to go bag from the vegan shop on the corner of the road next to my hotel however forgot to ask for plastic cutlery so I popped down to the pearl hotel to ask for a knife and fork to which they responded we only have spoons which I did find a little off considering they served breakfast there. The hotel is also on a main road which is constantly loud with traffic I can sleep through anything so I slept fine but wouldn't bring kids here as don't think it's a hotel for children.

To sum it up concisely: You get what you pay for. The rooms are very crammed and you may get stuck with a bathroom where you can’t fit on the toilet without closing the door. Personally, my gripe is that my window wouldn’t close because the hinge was broken, and so all the noise from the street didn’t help. Otherwise, I felt safe with all the security cameras and the staff was pretty accommodating. There’s supposedly continental breakfast but the kitchen was empty when we showed up.

I don't usually leave reviews on anything, especially bad reviews, but this place is a shambles. Shower head is broken at the bottom, showers pressure is non existent. The entire bathroom is far far too small for anyone, barely an inch between the door and toilet, headboard on the bed held up by the beds pillows - which are incredibly firm and uncomfortable, as well as the mattress. impossible for me to sleep on. The window was open when I first arrived, closed it soon as and noticed stubbed out cigarettes on the outside windowsill - as well as in the toilet. The window closed makes absolutely zero difference with the noise from outside. Fair enough, it's a busy road, but a closed window should be able to block at least some of the noise. To top it all off, I don't even get a lamp, it's the big light or nothing. Fairly annoying and inconvenient. Also doesn't help that I did actually book for the Sapphire Hotel, but got parped in it's sister location a few doors down, but based on other reviews, I don't think I'm missing out on much in the actual place either. I'm only supposed to be staying two nights, but I can't make the second night. far too uncomfortable. wish I had read more reviews before coming :/

We were staying for the sale 3 nights at this hotel here are all the trouble this hotel has caused us. •The carpets were dirty and the building had no elevators and small and long stairs witch isn’t evicient with our large suitcases and the hotel had no reception. You have to leave the hotel go to another hotel and •the first night: our view looked afvul the curtains had what looks like a blood or lipstick stain same for the matresses overall poor hygiene •the second night: the second night after we got “home” late from shopping we all let our hair down and the light fell out and we hear some sounds at our door not somebody trying to open the door but touching it we called the reception he came from the other building towards us and turned the power on our room is also next to a fire exit witch was opened (our room was next to that fire escape) overall bad security Night 3: after a long day exploring the city we came back to the hotel and had to go poo on the toilet but we realised that we ran out of toilet paper we called the reception and said that we need toilet paper he said come pick it up we, the child was sleeping and the other was getting our take out and i was on the toilet with a big piece of fat smelly poo underneath my bumbum so i also couldn’t. I begged the guy to bring it to our room and he did… after an hour. Overal bad service We would never recommend going to this hotel its horibble dont waste ur money!
