Lovely area , more than 1054 years old , not shown on Google maps for some reason half the time . Bigger than Small Wood but smaller than the Hampstead Heath Extensions . Good for dog walking , good paths , easy access walking , properly sign posted and very tall trees . Gets quiet muddy in Winter , beware ; )

Big Wood, Garden Suburb. A quiet wood for walking, used by the locals. Great for dogs. Well managed with lots of squirrels and off path tracks. Entrances at Temple Fortune Hill, North Way, Denman Drive & Oakwood Road. Spent many happy hours there as a child and now as an elderly adult.

A small quite wooded park. Not many people go here. A good place to go and watch the squirrels and birds go about their business.

A taste of countryside slap bang in the ’burbs. Large enough to feel isolated from the city, small enough to be easily accessible to locals. Ideal for a 20 minute walk.

Lovely place but can be a bit dangerous for young people to go through alone

It's a wood and it is big, so no surprises there, and a very pleasant place to visit and walk around

A lot of people with dogs roaming around, the place is quite emblematic for the area. Nice nature, really old oaks, but I am afraid there are not so many young oaks, once the old ones will die that's it.

A bit spooky at times as weirdos about but LOVE the wilderness of it.

Nice little bit of the country right in the city. Relaxing place and quite tranquil.
