Perfect location--specially for KCL students--safe, clean and a fantastic management team. I stayed at Chapter South Bank from September 2019 to October 2020. l researched/visited several accommodations and went with Chapter South Bank because of the clean rooms, facilities (including an on-site gym), 24/7 security and proximity to KCL's Strand Campus and the Southwark tube station (Jubilee line). The only thing that could make it more perfect is a resident cat or dog!! :) Chapter's 5/5 rating though is really thanks to their superb and professional management team. Geanne and Ibrahim were my first new friends in London and they go above and beyond to make sure everything is running smoothly. Any maintenance issues, which were rare, were sorted out within 24 hours. Ellie, Robin and Tiago are immensely kind and helpful, and made me feel very at home at Chapter. They gave me lots of great LDN advice and helped me through some very stressful dissertation months. Leo and Dino were managers during my first and second term respectively, and are super invested the well-being and safety of the residents. I particularly applaud Chapter South Bank's response to the onset of the pandemic in March 2020. They had been keeping us posted on the situation since December, and maintained strict SOPs and cleaning schedules to ensure everyone's safety. There were a lot of online events too, including yoga classes, quiz nights and music performances which really helped with any lockdown blues. **Location The Southwark station is three minutes away and Waterloo station about 10 minutes walking. There's a sainsburys and tesco just ten feet from the gate, and a co-op, 24/7 convenience store, Starbucks and M&S Food a five-minute walk away. The Tate Modern and Millennium Bridge are around the corner and Borough Market is ten minutes away. Borough market was a great place to shop for eggs and vegetables when supermarket supplies were limited during lockdown. There are lots of restaurants on the Cut ten minutes away. I won't say more because it's a super fun area to explore on your own. The KCL Strand Campus is a 25 minute scenic walk away and 10-15 via bike. The Waterloo and Guy's Campuses are 10-15 minutes away on foot. It's not worth taking the tube to any of them, so you definitely save money on transport. **Rooms and Facilities I had a silver studio (with a double bed, small TV, stove, oven microwave and toaster) on the 8th floor in Block B. I did prefer it to block A because you're not right next to the street, it's cooler in the summer because the other block cuts the sun till the ninth floor, has a great view and you don't need to leave the building to go to the gym or laundry room. I booked early and Vicky from the online team helped me pick out a great room. The rooms are pretty soundproof and have huge windows. Unfortunately, only a small part opens, but you still get good ventilation. The radiators kept me very comfortable during the winter and there was only one week in the summer where it was super hot. A tower fan was more than enough for the summer. The gym is a huge plus--clean, floor mats that make HIIT easier, several machines and free weights. There's also a membership gym around the corner for fitness lovers who need even more equipment. On-site laundry is convenient and a bit cheaper than prices I've seen in the city. There's also secure bike parking and a garden. The study room and sky lounge (with a pool table, foosball , and TV) are great places to hang or study. Chapter South Bank is big enough for people who like to be social and it's also easy to find space and time for yourself if you prefer to be in your own. I would highly recommend Chapter South Bank. It's value for money, especially if you’re doing a one year programme. Far more secure and clean compared to other places-- based on what I heard from friends in other private accommodations and university residences. My year in London wouldn't have been half as amazing without my Chapter South experience :)

I am the student in King's College London, and this is my first time study abroad. In January I chose Chapter South Bank because many friends of mine recommended this wonderful accomodation to me. After several months living here, I found like it is my another home. The studio is well-organized and it is a quiet place to settle down and focus on my study. Besides, the staff ( Evandra, Ife, etc.) here are very helpful and kind. They are like my friends and always care about me, which make me warm in this strange city. Highly recommend this place!!!!

Hands down the best student accommodation in London! I am confident in making this claim because I have lived here 3 years and I have been to so many student halls in London and trust me nothing comes close to Chapter Southbank's social space (the sky garden), awesome location (5 mins walk to Jubilee line station and right next to Tate Modern). Besides, nowhere you can find the extremely cooperative and friendly management and maintenance which they have here. Therefore, I don't miss an opportunity to recommend Chapter Southbank to my family and friends!

I'm a student currently studying at King's College London and Chapter South Bank is perfectly situated between Guys and Waterloo campus. I'd highly recommend staying at Chapter South Bank as the location is ideal for University but it's also so close to Southwark underground which allows you to easily explore London in your free time. Moving away from home and starting Uni can be daunting, but the office staff are super friendly and always willing to help. You'll feel like a valued member of the Chapter community as the staff get to know you as individuals. There are so many facilities nearby which makes grocery shopping really convenient and there are multiple nice bars and restaurants close too. Chapter South Bank staff organise multiple events throughout the year which encourages students to socialise and make friends creating a happy atmosphere for all students to enjoy. The sky lounge is amazing providing stunning views of London and the perfect space to get together with friends on an evening after studying. The social spaces are cleaned regularly and maintenance are very prompt at responding to any requests via the Chapter app. Chapter South Bank makes it so easy to settle into London living and provides a home from home environment. If you are studying in London, come and stay at Chapter South Bank! It's the best student accommodation :)

I loved my 6 months here, very nice apartment and well equipped. Beautiful roof terrace, nice pool table \ games area, the gym and study areas are more than adequate, and not overpopulated. The forecourt and communal areas etc are meticulously maintained throughout. A bit pricey but that's expected in such a great a great location in London, I challenge you to find better. Worth every penny for me. The maintenance \ security \ admin \ management staff are friendly and attentive to whatever I needed 24\7. I frequently saw them going above and beyond for other residents too, I must say they have an excellent team running the place, for real. Many times they provide freebies and treats such as Easter eggs on Easter weekend, or packets of noodles or drinks or cakes etc which is a nice bonus. Looking at some negative reviews here, I'm telling you from experience it's mostly people who want to break the rules or try pushing for unrealistic demands. Rather unfair to such a team, keep up the great work guys!

Terrible, terrible, terrible accommodation. Firstly, after informing them that my mom will be staying with me for a bit which they said they were okay with, They then one day without notice decided that they would not allow my mom stay with me and gave her the day to look for and book a place the same day. The price is extremely high for what you get.. My safe box was stolen along with my Apple Watch and some shoes (maybe other things that I have forgotten) from my room and they claim to have no knowledge of how I cannot find it in my room after being away for about 9 months. All they could offer was an apology. The staff are not that welcoming (gave me anxiety). Overall a very bad experience and do not recommend for the price you will be paying. I don’t make reviews usually but this was probably this biggest disappointment of my life.

I really enjoy my stay at this Chapter. Best for those who choose quiet places! You’d better choose Chapter Spitalfields if you’re more likely to spend your time at parties, with friends having noisy evenings. All facilities are provided in the building, such as laundry, study area, gym, sky lounge. First, when i moved here there were some parties for freshers or groups of people celebrating end of week in sky lounge. Fortunately, (as i do not like noise and too many people) now it is quiet enough to study. I also enjoy the peace 🙌🏻 Great place to live.

My experience at Chapter South Bank has been amazing! I'm a first-year student and have found that coming into this accommodation was the perfect introduction to London. The location is very central and there is nearly every commodity no more than 10 minutes away. The rooms are very neat and the staff is amazing. Thank you Nadia, Evandra, Melody, Dino, Geanne, Adam and others!

It really is a 'home away from home'. The staff at Chapter went out of their way to ensure that I had a wonderful time and the facilities lived up to the standards. A great place to start your journey in London!

I loved my time at Chapter Southbank. I lived in an en-suite in 2020-2021 whilst I was in London for my Masters. I lived on the side that oversaw Great Suffolk and I could see the London Eye from my bed. The room was not big but it was exactly the right fit for what you need from a dorm equipped with all the necessary furniture. The living room and kitchen area were cleaned once a month by Chapter and you could enjoy some telly whilst cooking or chitchatting with your roomies in a fairly big area. One of the blocks has a rooftop with TVs, lounge areas, tanning beds outdoors and a stunning view. The location can’t get better in London. It’s a 5 minute walk from Southwark station and about a 10 minute walk from Bank where you can go for a lovely walk. About 15 minutes walk from London bridge and borough market. Price is a bit high but you are paying central London rates and you won’t get much better for that location. The dorms also have a study hall and a gym. The staff was exceptionally lovely during COVID and ready to help when needed. There’s a mix of master’s and bachelor’s students and I would highly recommend it to bachelor’s students. A lot of students from Kings, LSE.

It has been a wonderful experience staying here! The rooms are really nice and the view from the terrace is beyond word, and I think the building is quite noise-proof (so really nice)! And most importantly, the staffs here are absolutely amazing that they make this place like home! Thank you Robin, Nadia, Evandra, Melody, Dino, Geanne, Adam and others!

Awesome place to live in. It’s my first year in London, so I chose here to be close to train station and my Uni. The staff are all kind and friendly. Every time there’s any problem with the flat Adam will fix it quickly. Melody Dino Nadia Evandro and Geanne are extremely helpful and friendly when I have any questions. And I have to compliment the work of Ajay and Katherine for keeping the site safe and clean;)

Have stayed for nearly 2.5 years here. Confident to say that it is a great place for KCL and LSE students to consider staying. Great location with Tesco, Sainsbury right next to the building. M&S within 5 mins walk, Tiantian and little Waitrose within 10 mins walk. Staff members are all kind, friendly and always willing to help. Personal thanks to Nadia, professional and supportive, and very helpful. The building may be a bit of out of date but repair service is compensating. Building B may be a better option cause it’s further away from the rail service.

"Home is where the heart is" For students leaving their families and coming to the UK for pursuing higher education, the accommodation becomes a crucial space which impacts their academic and lifestyle development. In this regard, the Chapter Southbank has been exceptionally comfortable for me. The best aspect of living in this accommodation is the team of excellent staff and housekeepers, as all of them are courteous, caring and incredibly kind individuals. I will certainly recommend this space to students who are looking forward to have their little home away from home.
