😠 TOTAL waste of time and money. How on earth are they charging £25 per class?! I'm a beginner with a lot of injuries, but have been doing reformer conditioning with GREAT results for 2 and half months now. I thought I'd give this place a try because of the Xmas holidays, but I may as well have staye... People often mention class, studio, instructor, Pilates,

TOTAL waste of time and money. How on earth are they charging Β£25 per class?! I'm a beginner with a lot of injuries, but have been doing reformer conditioning with GREAT results for 2 and half months now. I thought I'd give this place a try because of the Xmas holidays, but I may as well have stayed at home with my mat and a YouTube video. I'm used to instructors that show as well as tell ( for health and safety reasons), but when I waited to see the move demonstrated before doing it, I was told off for not moving! Despite being told beforehand to make a judgement on whether or not a move would be safe. Then, when the person next to me in the class who felt unsafe standing up, (holding weights) on the sliding bed, asked me how to use the pole to steady herself, I discreetly gave advice, but was promptly told that I must not speak because I was putting off the rest of the class (as he indicated with his hand to include the rest of the class in the 'chastisement'). I quietly gathered my things, shoes in hand and made my way to the reception. Apparently complaints and or refunds can only be made via email. There is no manager on site. After several phone calls, made at my insistence, I got half my money back. Eventually. This 'beginners' class is not for absolute beginners. If you have any injuries at all, steer clear. UPDATE (22/12/16) The owner's response is inaccurate - I did NOT receive a full refund.

I am scoping out Pilates studios at the moment and used the trial they offer to see if this studio is any good. I am a complete beginner in Pilates but I have tried 3 studios already and have seen a huge difference between them. Unfortunately Bootcamp Pilates is at the bottom of the list and was a complete disappointment. I paid for two trial sessions and didn't even bother with the second one. I went for the 7am class, and there was only one other lady in, she seem to have been familiar with the routine. We had a male instructor. He seems to be quite experienced but was more bothered with his own workout. He barely looked at what either of us we doing and how. I even moved closer to him so I could see better how he does his moves, but straight after he got up and moved to another machine. Just for transparency I was late 10 min, so he was rather annoyed with me and he didn't hide it, first by telling me off. Fine, I understand it is not great when someone is late for a class. But the way he handled it is more of a reason to be disappointed. The fact that I was late should not be a reflection on his professionalism. I don't want to justify my lateness although it was one of the days when it snowed in London and I rode a bicycle (so it took longer than usual), then couldn't find a place to lock it. It didn't really matter to me at a time that I am missing out a bit on the class, I just wanted to get the sense for the studio. I did tell him that I am scoping out the schools, so you would think that he would at least try to be helpful so that I have a good impression about the studio. But he was only interested in himself. At some point after stretching he said to both of us: 'I feel so good after these stretches'. I am happy for him of course, and nothing wrong with instructor benefiting from the class, but when this is at the expense of the quality of the class then it's not on. You can be an experienced instructor and know your stuff, but what's the point if you use it for your own gratification and are unable to deliver a quality class. I don't know if other instructors in this studio are great, but for me he is the face of the Bootcamp Pilates and I am taking my money elsewhere.

The instructor didn't even bother turning up. I'd booked onto a morning TRX class at 6.30am and turned up in time for the class and the studio wasn't even open.We waited for 20 minutes and the instructor never turned up, what a waste of time and money. We never even received an email with as much as an apology! Such bad customer service!! Would recommend Frame instead!

Tyrene is absolutely brilliant and her class has made me feel confident and challenged. However I would not recommend other instructors, particularly one male who does not seem bothered by the class, wandered around during one I attended drinking a can of pepsi and was sarcastic and rude while "teaching" where instructions were very limited. A friend who I usually go to the class attended another with this man and felt very uncomfortable with the attention given to some of the women in the class. Neither of us would recommend or be back unless Tyrene is there more!

From my experience, the male instructor at this studio who ran the beginners class had no concept of instructing 'beginners' in that he barked one word instructions to students who clearly didn't know what was required, even after being asked for clearer instructions on poses. I was expecting clear, calm and supportive communication from a beginner level pilates instructor, which is not what I received. Instead I felt humiliated in front of the class on multiple occasions. As a side, speaking with distain to the receptionist who was trying to assist a late comer, drinking coke during the class and hitting on female students after the class is more than off putting. Would not recommend!

Reformer Pilates is an excellent fitness class. It really tones and stretches many different parts of your body. Although in comparison to other classes I have been to, the beginner reformer pilates class at Bootcamp Pilates was not very motivating and after leaving I did not feel the normal boost in confidence and energy I get. The studio was set out well so I will give it another go but currently not enthused.

I have visited this studio for years. The instructors are all very different but all excellent at what they do. I have tried most of the reformer studios in London and the reason I come back here is the teachers, the best being Ivo. While he is rather strict and not everyone might warm to him, for an intermediate/advanced reformer student there is no teacher more creative and able to get the best out of you as much as Ivo. This is a great studio if you are a regular. Ashame if you had a single bad experience as there is no studio where you will have 100% satisfaction every class - do give it another go!

First time trying reformer Pilates and it was a great experience. Female instructor (wish I remembered her name) was nice and helpful too.

😠 Shocked to find out after having the gym tour on the open day that the swimming pool wouldn't open until July, and the sauna until September.
