As a new resident to Ealing, I’m gutted I joined gymbox. Yet alone being the worst value for money gym I’ve ever joined, it’s one of the worst gyms. For the £100+ per month you get an overcrowded gym with poor facilities relative to the price, and it’s so warm it’s unbearable. The classes are never available, and the room where the classes take place is the only decent room in the building (which means it’s never free). Finally, The front staff have only been friendly when they think they can get another sale (I must say the cleaning staff are very friendly). I wish someone had put this review before I joined, but hopefully this helps someone avoid making the same mistake.

By far the best facility around West London. This new location is mint from the staff, to the equipment, to the facility itself. From the ownership, to management, to the trainers, by far the nicest and most knowledgeable staff in the business today. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Gym Box to anyone. I am certainly satisfied thus far and have been blown away by my experience at this new facility in Ealing. The fitness industry needs more gems like - Rabia. She was very helpful answering all my questions and fitness goals. People like Rabia are a treasure in a place like this! Thank you Gym Box and Thank you Rabia for letting me part of the family 💪🏽😊

I have to admit, I was initially excited to join Gymbox considering its reputation, but my experience thus far has been notably underwhelming, especially for a steep £130 a month! First off, the equipment—or the lack thereof. There’s always a wait for the benches because there simply aren't enough of them. And trying to find clips for the bars is like a workout itself. With such a high membership fee, I expected better availability and variety in equipment. Then there's the sole cross cable machine - a crucial piece for any chest day. It’s perpetually occupied, and without alternatives, my workouts often get compromised. You’d think a gym charging premium rates would ensure multiple options for essential workout stations, but alas. The overall layout is another sore point. So much space goes unused or is mismanaged, it’s quite astounding. The wasted space could easily accommodate additional machines and benches to alleviate the wait times and improve the overall flow during busy hours. Now, let’s talk about safety and cleanliness. Staff mopping during peak hours? It’s an absolute hazard trying to navigate around the gym with weights in hand and a wet floor underfoot. I appreciate the cleanliness, but surely there’s a better time for that. Navigating through the corridors to the changing room feels like a game of bumper cars. They’re so narrow that it’s impossible not to bump into someone every time you go around a corner. It’s not only annoying but also a bit of a safety concern. In conclusion, I'm pretty disheartened by my experience with Gymbox. The incongruities between the price point and the actual services and facilities provided are simply too glaring to ignore. I signed up expecting a premium gym experience but found myself in what is quickly resembling a budget gym environment. I hope management takes note because at this rate, it’s hard to justify continuing my membership.

The gym is packed and classes are very hard to join unless you sign up within 15 minutes of the classes being posted. They also like to sign you up on six month contract and do not make it obvious that its a rolling contract. Thank you for the over draft!

I really like this Gym but there are some issues that don't qualify the high membership fee. It's really annoying that treadmill machines are constantly broken. Every time I jump on to a machine, the belt is either loose or the treadmill doesn't work completely. There is a machine that has been broken for nearly 4 weeks now and no one has bothered to fix it. It's quite disappointing given that I am paying so much for a membership, I really expect better quality control. They sometimes also run classes in the strength training area downstairs which doesn't make sense to me as that area should be used for strength training and shouldn't be used for classes as some of us want to make use of the entire membership which includes the machine and strength area downstairs. Also, they used to have anti-bacterial wipes which they now removed and instead replace with watered down solution which to me just looks like they have added a ton of water to a tiny bit of solution. Not sure why they thought it was a good idea to remove the anti-bacterial wipes they previously had during Covid times. We still want the option to clean our machines properly! However, the staff at reception are fantastic! They always have a smile on their face and make an effort to say hi when you enter and leave the gym which is really refreshing. I think with better and consistent quality control, this gym can be amazing.

You get what you pay for here. I was in London for a short period of time and wanted a gym that has weights, KB's, functional equipment and, best of all, boxing. Gymbox Ealing has all of that and classes too, even though my time didn't fit their schedule they seemed always to be busy and fun. My next trip in town I'll be back in there, maybe take a class and all. Finally the team I interacted with were professional and very approachable, helped me out a couple times. Nice job Gym Box, Ealing!

I have to be honest I was quite disappointed with my experience at GymBox. I asked to sign up for single month to try the gym out and see if it would work for me with my work schedule - this was fine with the person that completed my introduction. I specifically said that I would initiate further membership payments after I had completed a few months abroad which again I was told was absolutely fine from my gym induction. However it was apparent that this wasn’t the case and Gymbox continued my DD as I was out the country after I had specifically communicated about this numerous times. It then took some time to initiate a ‘freeze’ on my account due to my contact being out of office and the person who took over my enquiry having no idea about my previous conversations with Gymbox. The communication from the GymBox brand is borderline harassment, I enquired a couple of months prior to my final sign up - constant emails, phone calls and texts from different numbers. It was the same for someone I brought in as a guest - constant emails about offers to join and being called continually. I was told that signing up that if I did so today they could scrap the joining fee and give me loads of other perks. It just felt like tactics to get a membership sign up no matter what. I visited the gym twice and wasn’t too impressed with the layout or the quality considering the very high monthly price. It was also constantly packed out in ‘off peak’ times. In the end this cost me 2 months worth of membership and a couple of ‘frozen’ months before finally getting through to the team to cancel my membership entirely. The team are nice and friendly however they’re only good with communication if you’re looking to buy a service or membership. A real shame because Gymbox looked promising but definitely was not the right fit and I did not have a good experience with the communication.

I was interested in joining this gym so I took a tour, but I was very put off by the over-the-top sales push from the 'Sales Guru'. At the end of my tour, she told me that there was discounted joining fee of £30 and pressured me to give her an answer on whether I wanted to join as there were 'limited spaces'. I told her I was new to the area and needed time to decide. She emailed an hour after the tour, and then again the next day offering a £0 joining fee. Why couldn't she be transparent about that to start with? It all felt very gimmicky. When I did the tour of the gym, I was told I had to fill in my personal details (email+phone) on a slip in order to enter the gym. I agreed, but I clearly communicated that I did not want them to contact me, but they went ahead and did so anyway. I'm writing this after receiving a phone call from them today. The hard sales push really cheapens the brand, and I would recommend reading the other 1 star reviews if you want an insight into how they run!

I just love this gym! The best upgrade I made this year. All the staff, and coaches are friendly and amazing. I do group classes (boxing/yoga/reppin), private PT sessions with Martena, and boxing sessions with Saj Imran. I can’t tell how this place has changed in me, and my mental health. Thank you all for everything, all the staff, especially Dominika! I’m always grateful for choosing this place. Xx

Gym classes were excellent but are extremely difficult to book on. Booking goes live 7 days in advance at 10am but I was often in work meetings at this time and by the time I tried to book that same day, it's all on waitlist. My friend who is a member here has the same issue. It's rather surprising that they then leaflet outside Morrison's in Ealing sometimes despite the fact that they're clearly over capacity. I never used the gym floor so can't comment on this. Of the few classes I went to, I must say that they were excellent. The instructors were very motivating in the dance and spin classes and I came out feeling invigorated. However, due to the poor booking experience, and due to the fact that you can't even buy a membership option online, this has pushed my score down to 2 stars. You have to go through a mandatory tour, at the end of which a Sales Guru explains the membership options, with a £99 joining fee. I explained I wouldn't use the free personal training session which was included in this and then the price was reduced to £30, which they said was the lowest joining fee price. This included 5 guest passes, even though I explained my friend who already was a member couldn't actually book a guest place for me in her classes so I didn't want them anyway. Reception advised to just turn up on the day to see if there's any space. Who would go all the way there to find out the class is full of everyone did in fact turn up? I was then a little dismayed by the fact that I read another Google review where someone refused to purchase a membership option on the day and instead, was emailed a few days later with a £0 joining fee. Hardly seems fair to offer this to people who aren't cajoled on the day itself by quite a persistent sales representative and a £99 joining fee to everyone else who are keen to join up without challenging this. I may try another branch in future as the classes were brilliant but somewhere that has more capacity and less forceful sales strategies, although this may well be part of the company's strategy wherever you go. Disappointed as I'd heard great things about gymbox classes.

Had a fantastic session at Gymbox! I tried out the day as a guest with a friend. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. I especially like to thank Gabrielle. She went out of her way to show me around the gym and made sure i felt comfortable trying gymbox for the first time. Would recommend!

Don’t sign up for classes as they are always full. If you get on their waiting list people drops on a last minute which automatically gets you in and you get charged just for not even being notified. I have also cancelled with plenty of time in advance but they still overcharged me for an extra month and they never heard to my complaints and made me pay the extra month sending this amount to a collections office who added more charges like this is my fault. Never again.

Worst booking system ever. Promised classes would be available. But never are… waste of a 12 month membership. Gym is amazing… the rest is total rubbish. Staff just fob you off….. NEVER do a 12 month upfront deal. If I could leave a zero star I would. That’s why you have to love PureGym.

It’s a great gym but it’s almost a victim of its own success with how busy it gets and how hard classes are to book onto. Pricey but really great instructors and top notch equipment. Great vibe too, just wish it was a bit quieter.

The best gym in London with the greatest staff and instructors! (I wish I knew some of the front of house staff’s names, and the elderly Hispanic cleaning lady)! I start my week off seeing Remy Martin for my Badass class and he always gives me the energy and confidence I need for an early class. No matter rain or shine his energy is always positive and on point. Remy’s class was the first ever GYMBOX class I had ever done, and because of him I started to try more classes with hopes that the instructors would be as brilliant as he is. I’d never done cirque it before as I was too nervous, however Lois Gregory’s informative and perfect demonstrations, as well as encouragement and support helped me so much. I’m so upset that I don’t often get the day off to do the class every week. A challenging yet fun class, I couldn’t have done it without her it’s not wonder the class is fully booked every week! Maria Laithenien (sorry, I’ve probably spelled that SO wrong) is another incredible instructor, after a long day of work I usually want to go home and sit in a dark room for a while; however, I physically can’t go home unless I’ve heard Maria say “you want to squeeze those glutes as if you have a 100 dollar bill between your cheeks and you don’t want to lose your money”. Adding levity to an intense legs and glutes class is needed and Maria always brings the positivity and great music. Pole dance is my first love and although it’s painful I keep coming back for more. Sam Fontani is incredible and so kind hearted, she truly believes that anyone can do pole and can challenge themselves no matter what your size or age. We are not judged and we are encouraged and supported all the way. Also, we are so lucky to being taught by a gold medalist! Maria is also a great pole instructor who is keen on keeping the class safe and well informed at all times. GYMBOX, pleeaassee squeeze in another pole so more people can book! I wouldn’t mind paying more for the gym if that meant that all the employees got a raise.

Joined boxgym couple of weeks ago. Main goal was to get a PT who can help me out with the whole well-being, I certainly bagged the best one. Kasia’s sessions are just great. Her care, motivation and drive shines through. She make me the happiest when I leave her session. Not so comfortable to be in the gym on my own yet, but she is working on it! Let’s not forget about warm welcome from Thio. I defo would recommend GYMBOX. Let’s not forget gym is well equipped and very clean.

I was reluctant in joining after seeing so many different reviews. But I joined under a really attractive offer during Black Friday (probably still available) and I am loving it. This the cleanest gym I have ever been to in the UK. The equipment are super new and well maintained unlike the other Gymbox branches. The shower products smells great. I wish there’s some basic amenities like face cream/ body lotion. It really depends which kind of gym goer you are. I’m a freelancer who loves different classes. I don’t mind getting up at 10am and book the classes. I am not particular with the classes just book whatever works around my schedule. If you only use the gym equipment you have cheaper alternative options. So far only tried muay thai, spin, paddleboard yoga and reppin’. They are all great! Keen to try more classes!

I am thrilled to share my positive experience at GymBox Ealing, where Marika Cena serves as my outstanding personal trainer. Marika's dedication and expertise have transformed my fitness journey - I’m now in the best shape of my life! The GymBox facilities offer top-notch equipment, a motivating atmosphere, and Marika's personalized approach makes every session truly effective. I highly recommend GymBox Ealing, especially with Marika Cena for those seeking a results-driven and enjoyable fitness experience! In addition, they have some fantastic classes - but they are very popular, so you have to set an alarm to book them the second they’re available. In particular, I love Bike & Beats with Gabbie Harris and Escalate with Sam Barrett - high energy and great fun!

Solid 4-star gym, nice amenities, and classes. 95% of the staff are nice enough for a mid-range gym. One thing I would say is the cleanliness of the gym could be better, but I went to equinox before Gymbox Ealing so was spoilt.

Best gym in Ealing, up-to-date equipment and plenty of classes you won't get elsewhere. Highly recommend Martena as a personal trainer in the Ealing branch. Also close to the new Brewdog and No17 for cheeky post-workout drinks.

The gym itself is very nice and vibey, classes are great and it’s kept relatively clean. The gym itself motivates you to want to be there and has helped me up my number of workouts and get into things like boxing and kettle bells. My only criticism is that some of the branches lack additional equipment like Theraguns, which other branches have. They could also do with providing a few other low cost additions for the price point, which competitors like Third Space have. These amenities include basic toiletries like better shower gel and shampoo options (third space has all cowshed products), lotion, deodorant, hair ties etc. It also doesn’t have a steam room, only sauna, which is a downside as well. Overall they could definitely up their game in terms of amenities, which would better reflect their price point and lack of spa facilities that it’s competitors at the same price point have.

This has to be one of the best Gyms I have ever been apart of. The amount of different styles of fitness going on in one Gym is amazing. Liv was a great person to have onboard us into the Gym and shows us all of the benefits of being a GymBox Ealing member!

Amazing gym! The wide range of classes is exceptional, I particularly enjoy the mental health classes because it’s just as important to take care of your mental health as it is to take care of your physical health. And this is something GYMBOX Ealing gets right. The facilities are also great with a lovely sauna and great showers where everything is always clean and sanitised regularly. The reception team make this gym! Always having a big smile and being so welcoming and helpful with everything you need. Anna on reception has helped me many times and is an asset to the team. 5 stars from me.

I have been coming to this Gymbox for over a year, and alongside my own training have been training with one of the Muay Thai coaches, Samir. He has been an amazing coach, blending sessions on technique with conditioning and always working on explaining errors and supporting improvement. The development of my technique and resilience is as a direct result of his coaching and if you have any interest in combat sports, I would absolutely recommend him. It’s been a hugely positive experience!
