Big shop with almost everything you need for you pets, used to be more stocked in the past, today a bit less choice but still useful at least for cats and dogs. Veterinary clinic in shop. Busy car park shared with McDonald. Often a nightmare to get in and out of the parking.

My dogs favourite place, until today, when I realised there was a diy groom room and made her have a wash. She had a shower, conditioner, rinse, blow dry all in her own little shower room. £5 for 10 minutes and worth every single penny. So easy to use

My good old local pet store. Lots of sales and good deals going on at the moment. My Frenchie absolutely loves his new toys. The staff are always friendly and helpful 😃

The manager of this store is a horrible person. She closed the doors to the store and refused entry before the closing time when a few customers turned up after an accident prevented them from getting there sooner. After pleading with her and telling her the specific item needed, she then spoke in a rude condescending tone and told us “you have had all day” I work 6 days of the week and only came to collect a bowl as my cat’s had cracked. She has no care or consideration for customers, unlawfully closed the store doors before closing time which is not in their policy. Her only concern is for herself and getting home on time. Simply put, do not work on Saturdays if you are that lazy to lock the doors before closing time. I will be making a formal complaint with pets at home and will not stop until this disgusting woman is stripped of her position of power which she obviously abuses. How can all the staff have their coats on and doors locked 5 minutes before closing time? That is a gross case of false advertisement and they cannot have a manager who allows this. To the horrible devoid woman who hopefully reads this: I hope you are desperate for something for someone you care about one day and I hope that day you get treated the same way.

Went on Sat morning and the shelves were half empty. The item I originally went in for was sold out, so I got an alternative product. The staff were friendly & helpful. But surprised stock levels were so low.

Staff are okay, popped in several times for a quick top up however on every visit the shop is always out of something and shelves are nearly always half empty. I've been to much better pets at home stores this needs some improvement in how it's run and stocked.

has everything a pet owner wants, of course at a price, the vets practice is fantastic. if your trying to buy fish I would suggest elsewhere as you get asked so many questions, size of pond/tank and even then they can refuse as done several times to me. I understand care for pets but can be extra special.

It's ok. Unfortunately, the cat toys are usually bare everytime i go.. Some items are quite expensive too.

Really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. You do get the sense those working there actually care about animals/pets and that it's not just a job to them. Had our cat spayed, she was looked after well and they made sure she was fine to leave at the right time. The wound is healing well, the post-op check was good and provided a chance to discuss any concerns. Great service. Thank you.

The staff here are truly wonderful and so helpful in helping find and choose things, however we found that the large items we went for were damaged (staff acknowledged this) which was disappointing. Why keep damaged stock out for sale?

Excellent Pet shop. I use the Vets and the Groomers for my dog and she gets great care. I spent a few pound today on some good deal Doggy treats and surprisingly the parking was pretty good too. 👍

For such a huge location we were expecting more. There was very low stock across the board, it was reminiscent of the empty supermarkets during the pandemic. Hopefully it was just s one off but we had such a poor experience that we haven't been back and have just ordered online instead.

I had previously rang in the morning to check on the stock of an item. The assistant was very helpful. When I attended the shop, the assistant remembered my call. She was really nice and so was the assistant who served me as there was a problem accessing my VIP card. Thank you ladies you were so lovely!

Guppy fish always ill. They don't even have a shame to display them. Aquatic area should be closed down as it is harmful to fish.

Lovely store. First time I've been into a pet store and would be happy to go there again. Staff knowledgeable and helpful. They must stock everything you could possibly need for a large amount of animals. My niece was able to pick the hamster she wanted, which was great!!

Very nice pets shop. One stop solution for your pet. Very good customer service. Free car parking.

I do like a Pets At Home and this one is no different. Just a real pain getting in and out with the parking. The McDonald's next door really does not help. A good selection though. Just wish there was more cat items

The worst experience of buying fish I have ever had. The treatment of the fish by the people who are meant to be looking after them was appalling. Coupling that with the total lack of customer service or acknowledgement of their ineptitude means that I certainly won't be coming to this store again. Pets at Home should count themselves lucky that the Epsom branch has such an excellent team with staff who are knowledgeable about the appropriate treatment of fish. I hope the aquatics section of this store is quickly shuttered!

The staff are amazing honestly, I am new to having fish and they are so helpful with everything, also the selection of stuff seem decent to me, only thing is I wish they had a way to reserve fish for when they come in

NOT OKAY!!! Having visited your Croydon branch today (January 3rd). There was a long queue at the tills, so I waited patiently for a member of staff to assist my partner and I in purchasing some fish. The first guy, just ignored me. So I managed to get the attention of the young girl who said she'd send someone over. About 5 minutes later she returned with the first guy, they asked us about our tank, which is fine. But what was to follow made these questions completely ridiculous and hypercritical. After explaining that we wanted 2 yoyo loaches, 3 balloon Mollys and 2 rams, they made it clear that they had very little to no training in fish handling what so ever. They where trapping the fish between their hands and the glass ... Causing far too much unnecessary stress, even though I can appreciate catching them can be a challenge. They had zero customer service skills and by this point I was so angry, I handed my partner the other items we were purchasing and walked out, as I couldn't bare to watch this cruel behaviour any more. He was blatantly moaning that we wanted to buy the "hardest fish to catch" so went to find a 3rd colleague to help catch them, leaving one member of staff to run the store. She fortunately caught the two loaches, but didn't acknowledge us at all. The initial girl clearly had no training as she kept trapping the fish in the folds of the net, outside of the water. Causing more stress. We have spent £40 on fish and I'll be surprised if they survive. But regardless of the money this is just cruel!! This is such a shame as we often use the Epsom branch and they have an excellent team who have a great knowledge of fish and high customer service level, they even recognise us when we walk in. Huge shame.

Reasonable level of stock, courteous and helpful staff, parking can be tight at time with a McDonald's next door, and the traffic on Purley Way in and out is always tricky

I feel so relieved to find an XL cage for our Syrian hamster, as well as an XL wheel. As they are the largest of the domesticated hamsters, they need an especially large wheel to prevent back problems. Sadly, we had tried to support a local pet store previously, so got our adorable hamster from there, along with the recommended cage and wheel, amongst other things. Turns out, after he reached full size, he couldn't use the wheel any more for risk of injury of his back. Appalling this other store let us purchase it. Anyway, I will be coming to Pets at Home in Croydon from now on, great selection of cages, treats, toys etc. And HUGE THANKS TO STEPHEN - who greeted us and gave us a big smile when we entered, and then was very helpful checking us out at the till as well, friendly, kind and professional. Thanks Stephen. And our hamster seems very happy in his new home.

I'll warn you now, not quite the pet store you are expecting. Shelves are bare and products are very limited. We went to get some cat things, scratch post and some other bits and tbh, you're better off going to a big supermarket. I felt slightly depressed seeing the lack of stock and strange layout of the store. I think they have a vet/groomers here but it didn't give me good vibes and would much rather go to a local service for both these things. Once you have shopped getting out onto Purley Way is catastrophic.

Loved the animals, but would love them to sell some birds like budgies and cockatiels, I had travelled far to visit the shop to see if they had sold birds, but ended up finding out that they don’t even sell them…

Got my neice and nephew their first fish and tank for Christmas. The service was great, the kids gained alot of knowledge about how to look after their first fish in store from the assistant. Good tropical and non tropical fish available. Great customer service all around the store.

A great Pets at Home shop in Croydon. Parking and exiting the car park can be a bit of a nightmare due to the McDonalds next door. There is a handy overflow car park. It wasn't too busy the last couple or times we visited. On one occasion we had to queue due to the number of people visiting. This wasn't too long and we'll handled by security. There is a good selection of well stocked products here at good pricing. A lot are cheaper than online pet shops and Am***n. The groom room is great! The staff are friendly and do a fantastic job for reasonable pricing. Our pup always smells lovely after a visit!! Checkout staff are friendly too and quick to serve customers. We'll be back!

Came to the store to get some tropical fishes for my fish tank I have set up at home. The girl was very helpful and I have purchased a couple fishes I've never had before, she recommended. Going back in a week's time for a water test and hopefully getting some more fish.

And when I said do it again its terrible you haven't properly wash him.. he stinks from now..they were unhappy and they weren't willing to do him.. don't chose them they don't know what they are doing

Staff here are brilliant, very friendly and very professional. Good range of stock. I've only knocked 2 stars off because parking there is a nightmare (although not the fault of Pets at Home but is something you have to consider when going there), and also it seems they're removing baskets (and eventually trolleys) for customers as apparently too many get stolen. They're replacing with IKEA type carry bags, which is OK but if you're like me and you have back problems you can't carry one of those over your shoulder with heavy shopping, like multipack tins of food or bags of kibble. Not massively customer friendly.

It's alright. They've revamped the whole store apart from the aquarium fish, which are not a great selection - no african cichlids anymore :-(

Had an excellent shopping experience, many thanks to Adam. I had been having issues with online shopping and found better to transfer my business to Pets at Hone Croydon.

Cats have been registered here for the past few years. Annual health check is brilliant and the fact that I can pick up all the flea and worming tablets in demand is such a life saver! Vets are always kind and compassionate and the kids love coming here even though the cats don't! Lol

The store refit looks so great and they bought in few new products in. The staffs are so friendly on my visit and helped me with all my needs. Mainly the chap called Adam. He gave me all the necessary advice needed for my pets and etc. All the very best with the new refit, Croydon Team

The most meh of the Pets at Home's I've been to. The staff seems uninterested being there and wasn't the most friendly or helpful. Which is weird for a pet store. The groom room staff is similar. I had a mildly matted dog and they didn't even try to tell me how to resolve the issue. Just told me that the dog will die from the blood clot in her brain if I don't shave her right then and there. Still gets 3 stars because it's a pets at home and they have anything and everything as a dog owner. Also McDonald's next door so you can chill if you're waiting.

Dark and dingy, they should think about selling small bags of Purina catfood, no point in me getting a huge bag of one flavour for 2 cats, where's the variety for them, so dark in there, better lighting recommended and not many staff if you need help, 3 stars are for the staff, as I did manage to talk to one and he was very polite and helpful, could tell he was rushed off his feet though, although I do talk a lot lol

The staff were friendly, welcoming and overall professional. With a great team they worked efficiently and provided me with the best support for my pet. I was in safe hands that's for sure! Katie supported me throughout the process. She ensured me with all relevant information regarding plans, offers, services and recommendations. This is my third pet registered with them. Couldn't be happier. Thank you!

👍👍 Lovely garden centre, everything you need and lovely gift shop. Had lunch here with family and friends, food and service were good. Some items were missing and we had to ask for them. When booking we asked for a round table with the cushioned chairs but it wasn't reserved for us, which was a bit...
