The worst experience with Boots. I bought a frame in another Boots Optician and the frame was delivered to Jubliee Place store on the 6th of December (confirmed by the selling store). Then I checked with Boots Optician Jubliee Place 3 times in the following ten days and they kept telling me the frame was not there. They offered to call the other store and give me an update on the second day, but they never did. 10 days after delivery I was in the store again and insisted the staff making a call, then the staff called the other store and found out my frame was already delivered. Even that, they lied to me that they couldn't find out on which day the frame was delivered. (while I called the other store right after, they said they already told the delivery date to Jubliee Place staff on the phone). Also the staff called "Saif" doesn't know the price for the frame as he doesn't know how to use the system! And another time he told me he can't tell me the price unless I gave him the prescription, while spoke to his Manager, she managed to tell me the price. It turns out Saif works part time and was not properly trained. So now Boots let people have no knowledge of the product to give customer advice. The worst thing is I lost confidence in Boots completely and asked for a refund, they told me I can't and I need to go back to the original Boots store. While I called the other store, they said I'm eligible for a refund in this Boots store too! P.S. only checked the frame when I was back home, and found the right side frame is missing the logo!

Even one star is too much. Had an appointment for my 6 y old. They called me yesterday to confirm whether I was still coming. On arrival, I was told that the optician was ill and yes, I should have been called about it. So, basically, Boots Opticians CW, who was already so bad prior to this (manager promising to call back about an issue and never did. Wrong prescription given) made a mother and her kid travel through a lockdown and pandemic, taking risks, to announce that there was no optician and they knew about this for a while. Needless to say I am now going to Vision Express CW. Breach of health and safety on Boots part also.

called in the morning to check if they have glasses available for toddler ...18th months old ...was told yes and that I can visit without appointment. Travelled with my baby there just to be told no ...they don't do glasses for such a small kids . Wasted my time and energy for nothing . Really poor customer service. Made me really angry . Whoever works there should have a better knowledge what they are selling .

Terrible customer service. I made an appointment 1 month in advance, arrived on the day and was informed the appointment was cancelled because the doctor had an emergency and wasn’t there that day. I was not informed of this by the staff and had to travel to the store to find out about the cancellation. I was then rebooked to another day. When I arrived the second time I had to wait AN HOUR after the time of my appointment to see the doctor because they were “running late since the morning” and “there’s nothing they can do”. Why do they not inform clients that they should come later in case of delays remains a mystery as no one had an answer. Is it laziness? Lack of care for their customers? We will never know. Don’t recommend this store and definitely should reassess their approach to clients.

Awful experience! Please don’t waste your time/ money/energy with them. Both experiences I had with them ended up with wrong eyes measurements and getting PERFECT experience with another neighbouring optician. Customer service: 1/5 Advising on the best eyewear:0/5 Faulty prescription: 5/5 Please save yourself from the headache of getting your money back and go somewhere else!

I visited Boots Opticians in Canary Wharf based on a misleading ad stating 'eye test with free contact trial.' However, during the visit, no one has communicated with me about the cost, and in the end, I was charged for both the eye test AND contact lens trial, which is £80! This advertising discrepancy led to confusion and inconvenience. The use of deceptive language in their ads is concerning. It's important for customers to be aware of the true costs involved. I hope for a fair resolution to this issue.

Went today for my eye test and lens check and was thoroughly impressed with the whole team. Everyone was very professional, helpful, polite and attentive. They explained everything carefully and gave me important and educational information about my eye health. The premises could not have been cleaner. Each area and piece of equipment a was thoroughly and meticulously disinfected before use and in between patients. Many thanks to the friendly team who was there today and for taking such good care of me.

Absolutely awful customer service. Most of their machines don't work. They made me wait 45 minutes to do a basic eye test. Never again

Highly recommended. I used to go to Boots Optician Jubilee Place when I was living in Greenwich / working in Canary Wharf, as it was practical. I’ve now moved and yet I still arrange my appointments there: • the appointments are on time • the whole team is super friendly • they give me objective advice Special thanks to Thomas who helped me go over my fear of contact lenses.

Horrible service. I should have read the previous comments before booking. They cancelled the contact lenses appointment, apparently a month ago, though i also received texts and a phone call none of which mentioning the cancellation. I would have been understanding about it had they not tried to make it like it was my fault for not getting their message (despite the mixed messages). 3 people against me! I walked out and never want to deal with them again. I do NOT recommend anyone goes there. Appalling service for sure.

Disgusting service, me and my wife had appointments and we both have health problems especially with travelling, my wife was less than 10 minutes late for her appointment even though she absolutely knackered herself trying to get there on time, but it made no difference because the uncompassionate staff had already cancelled her appointment, I ended up giving her my appointment because she needs the glasses more than me, nobody went in to see the optician after my wife so they could have quite easily had fitted me in. Or they could have taken 5 minutes off both our appointmentsto make up the time. .obviously they don't really care about their clients except for making money off them. Especially seeing that all the other staff in the shop were basically just standing around doing nothing. I WILL NOT BE USING THEM AGAIN!!!

I'm afraid I have to agree with one of the reviews here regarding their free contact lens trial. It's misleading and the website does not give enough details until you find out the hidden costs. There's no such thing as a free trial as they slap you with fees if you don't subscribe on the day. And even when you do subscribe, you only get your lenses after 3 months so have to pay for another 3 months in advance. Very misleading. What a headache!

They did not help me in any way. Was told I should have had eye test first and then contacts consultation. I had done the opposite. Eye test didn't go ahead as apparently my previous prescription was out of date (surely could have been something to start from). Like vision express, they said my complex prescription would make it difficult to find right contacts and advised me to chase my referral to eye hospital for specialist .

Really good eye exam, but they like to direct you to the most expensive glasses/lenses.

I collected my glasses on 1st April(Saturday). I came back to the boots shop on 3rd April, asking for help to adjust the frame, because I felt uncomfortable while wearing these glasses. Instead of repairing for free, I have been charged £230 to replace the frame. It is worth emphasising that this frame is a sample frame used by so many people. After I paid £830 in total(£590 for the original pair and £230 for the second sample frame which is already an unfair treatment to me), I still felt the distance vision was wrong and made me feel disoriented when I wore the glasses. Therefore, I came to the Institute of Optometry on 11th April for a second opinion. It carried out a further eye test and found a different prescription in both of my right/left eyes. When I presented all the evidence to the Boots Opticians Canary Wharf, they kept denying they did anything wrong. But I was told by the optician from the Institute of Optometry, I have all the legal right to claim my money back. The whole experience lost all my trust in Boots Opticians

Talked into buying very expensive lenses, wich failed to meet expectations. The result was that I bought prescription glasses from an online company, at a fraction of the price, which do meet expectations. I won't be going back to Boots.

Had a great experience when going for an eye test and grabbing some glasses for the first time, Liz and Kate were both really helpful and I'd recommend them highly.

Long wait for eye check (3 weeks) and introductory fitting of contact lenses. On day of appointment, they rang to ask me to keep my contact lenses in. Explained I don't wear contact lenses. I had to cancel on the day due to no tester contact lenses in stock. When asked if I could speak to a manager, was told there wasn't one! And the team leader wasn't there. Sadly, the worst experience of any Boots I have had. All that said, a Manager did eventually call back and offered service at Boots Holborn and some good will gesture on their part and an apology - which went a long way to resolve the issue.
