We came because it was very cheap and near to an event we were going to. We had read the reviews before hand so we knew what to expect. As just a place to sleep it's really good. The room was quite run down. It was very hot. Comfy bed. There was a fridge with nowhere to plug in. Bits to make drinks in the morning and no kettle. I'm sure this would have been correctable had we of asked though. If we had another gig in this area we would stay again as the room was spacious and it's in a nice area. It's good value for money considering the location

DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO CATCH SOMETHING. disgusting. Not the room we booked. When I asked for the room we booked, with proof of purchase, the receptionist told me I was wrong and they were fully booked. Black mold everywhere. Smells rancid. Bed sheets are dirty and hairs everywhere. Blood on bed sheets. They definitely haven't been changed since the last guests. Dirt and grime everywhere. The bathroom had trash from the last guests, the "complimentary" shower gel and soap that been used and were half empty. The toothbrush cup had old toothpaste stuck onto it. There was even an old cleaning sponge with suspicious yellow stains just left on the radiator. Was genuinely worried about sleeping there as the smell of black mold was so strong we were clearly breathing it in. The floors were squidgy and felt like we would fall through them at any moment. Probably rotton wood. God forbid there is a fire as it felt like a deathtrap. Staff member at reception was rude and dismissed our concerns. Absolutely shameless, zero care. The outside looks nice but the rooms are grim. We were lucky enough to be moved to a nicer hotel by our booking company, (but then again any hotel would be nicer than this place) good luck to anyone who had to actually sleep in that all night. KW Hotel -you should care more about the state of your hotel and your guests being comfortable.

If you're wondering whether to stay here during your trip, I strongly recommend not to do it. First of all, rooms were in a deplorable condition. Ours had only one night table, the bed was too small for 2 people, on one side of the bed there was a column that didn't allow you to get into bed, there was not a single handler for towels in the bathroom, the sink was blocked, and a long etc. Furthermore, the service room was inexistent. During the 3 nights we stayed, they just changed some of the towels each day. We even didn't have enough toilet paper and they didnt refill it; same for the liquid soap. Last but not least, as they have no recepcionist and you are left on your own there, one wood plank from the mattress base broke the first time we sat on it and we have slept like that for 3 nights. Location is not bad, as there is an underground station close to it, but bare in mind that it is in front of a jail, so not the most pleasant view. Definitely, it does not cost the 130 pounds/night we have paid.

Really lovely hotel and great price for the area. Absolutely loved the decor and the person who checked me in was really welcoming and friendly. Bed was so comfortable and I slept really well, nice and quiet for a Friday night/Saturday morning. Bathroom was a little dated but very clean so can’t complain as it did exactly what I needed. Didn’t try the breakfast but wish I had as they have some great looking vegan options. Will definitely be staying here again when I’m next in the area.

I loved the food: sinple and delicious. The service was also great: kind and friendly people. Highly recommend it! I had salad, steamed vegetables and calamari, all cooked to perfection.

It's not like the pictures. Staff are super friendly but the rooms were dirty, dusty and Bath was super mouldy! They keep heaters on and it was so hot! No lifts and lots of stairs if you're on the top floor. The deco on the stairs is nice and lots of retro art which was nice to see. They have a Thai restaurant directly beneath which actually is nice. The TV is small, and remotes didn't work. We asked for another and that didn't work either so we couldn't really enjoy TV. Old TV so couldn't download app to change channels and it wasn't a smart TV either. Bathroom super basic. Shower was really mouldy and they didn't provide a lot of toiletries. There's no parking but we got parking in a near by accommodation which was relatively cheap and just a five min walk. The location is great as you have the underground near by. There's a pub next door which is nice and a Starbucks not too far either.

Rooms were dirty, small and nothing like the pictures we saw. we had to be moved room as the first room was still dirty and the second room was no better. communication since from the hotel has been non existent (been trying to complain since 30th May), bathrooms mouldy and damaged.. well worth paying the extra for another hotel in the area

Location very good as near the tube, etc very easy for getting around so it worked for us. Ran out of toilet paper after two days which shouldn't happen, and nobody on the desk etc. Rooms nice but they didn't launder sheets etc. Be prepared to walk up flights of stairs to your room. Also a fridge in room be nice or atleast access to one.

My wife and I booked this hotel through qantas travel points via Expedia we discovered. It turns out despite confirmation emails we were not allocated our selected room. On arrival the receptionist (very helpful) managed to arrange us access to a room for the first night and explained that we would need to move rooms for the second nights stay. The room we were allocated for the first night was shocking, the smell of mould filled the whole room despite the window remaining open and the bathroom fan on for the duration. The two beds linen smelled unclean and the towels provided were brown stained. The second nights stay room was much better, although still dated and requiring some basic repairs in the bathroom. Overall pretty poor hotel. Everyone who we dealt with was pleasant. Wouldn’t choose to stay again.

Do not stay here. Dirtiest place I have ever stayed. Stinks, pigeons keep you awake outside, there was a giant beetle or cockroach crawling around the room. We contemplated sleeping in the car at one point. Had to sleep fully clothed as we were not convinced the bed had been changed. I wouldnt give any stars if I could, even if it is a cheap place to stay it should at least be clean.

The room looked nice but the mattress was so uncomfortable with a big dip in the middle that I though there was no slates under it. The blinds didn’t shut, the kettle didn’t work, no lift (was okay for me) and very noisy outside just from normal traffic. They allow pets and is close to the tube but apart from that… I wouldn’t book again!

This place is awful. To check in you have to ring a doorbell and just wait. We were given room 302, a family room with two small double beds. The sheets don’t fit the mattress properly. I didn’t dare take a look at the mattress. The room smelled badly of smoke and there were cigarette butts on the window ledge outside. The ceiling looks mouldy, as does the shower. We didn’t use the shower based on that. When we entered the room the toilet hadn’t been flushed! Absolutely disgusting. The sink also drains extremely slowly too. As it was a family room there were 4 cups but only 1 teabag. Not sure why there were two TVs but we didn’t touch them seeing as one looked like it was about to fall off the wall We paid £140 for a Saturday night. Will never stay here again. Avoid!!

Having stayed in this hotel for nearly a week I would never recommend this to anyone. My room had wood lice in the shower, the shower tray was cracked with all the woodwork rotten. The blind in my room did not work so had to put a towel over it to block out light. The room was absolutely awful and would never go back. I have photos to show how bad it was. Unfortunately it was half term and was not able to change hotels. Never anyone around to talk to to complain. Would stay clear of booking this hotel

The location was great for us, we had two events over the weekend and was very close to both. The room was a good size for the 4 of us who were staying there. No complaints really. Was cheap and had enough bed space to sleep. Wasn't exactly the most cleanly room and did look like it was falling apart a bit, but it met our expectations. It was cheap and cheerful and we were very happy with what we paid for. Don't expect too much. If you literally just want a cheap room to sleep in if you're visiting London then this will do the trick. If you need more comfort or have high expectations even when you decide to go cheap then this isn't the place for you. Staff was very friendly. Oh and I probably have to mention, in case this might bother some people, it does overlook a a prison.

Cannot say anything positive about my stay. Oh yes the sheets were fresh. The bathroom hadn't been cleaned. The sink had four large cracks in it, the shower cubicle was mouldy and I couldn't drain the sink There was no mattress or pillow protectors. The road noise was called constant and the double glazing did little to mask this.

Absolutely awful hotel. Dirty, smells of mold and stale cigarettes. We booked it for a night stay as a family. We felt totally unsafe. It had a seedy atmosphere and no toilet seat!! It was so awful we didn't stay and had to find elsewhere to stay. Avoid!

I had booked 12 months prior the London Marathon knowing that I'd ran the qualifying time. However, the property decided to cancel once they realised they could probably charge more for a room once ballot entries were released. If I were you, I'd look for somewhere with more integrity. Mind you, looking at the other reviews, it looks like we had a lucky escape. Sounds like a right pit!

This hotel is nothing like the website photos! It's dirty, and run down. The roof of our room started leaking in the night and plaster was dripping off. The toilet was stained so brown it was disgusting. The bathroom was all round dirty. Dust clumps in every corner of the bedroom. The second day we had no hot water for a shower, or heating. We couldn't talk to a member of staff in person as no one was ever at reception, even when we dinged the bell no one came. We could only contact them via WhatsApp. The location was good, but the hotel was not.

We stayed here for one night due to KW Hotel's proximity to Emirates Stadium. I wish we hadn't. The front door is locked, so we had to wait outside in the cold until we got lucky enough for some people to come out. Then we had to wait in the lobby and call a number to get someone to come check us in, despite the fact that it was only 5pm, not after hours. The bed was tiny, and the shower was broken. The room was sweltering hot, and the walls were so thin we could hear the alarm going off in the room next to us at about 5am, which was not a great wake up call. Do not recommend.

Prime location, prices for the room adequate to conditions. I've been many times in different hotels across UK, paid more and had worse accomodation. Hotel staff was nice, professional and helpful which is not so obvious this days. Big plus for nice, stylish interior and great location. I can definitely recommend for short stays. I had to write this review as I think most of the reviews on this page are not fair and you have to understand what comes with low price. HOSTELS on that day (31 Dec) were more expensive and far away from town centre. Previously booked hostel let us down, asking for reservation cancel just two days before we arrive. If I come to London again any time soon I'll probably book there as it's really convenient for short and budget trip.

Worst hotel room I have ever stayed in. Dirty throughout Kettle was white with calcium Man stain on the curtain Shower covered in calcium and mould Overlooks Pentonville Prison Not a safe area to walk around at night Not a double bed, too small for that Shower did not stay fixed to the pole No WiFi in room TV had no channels/aerial £100 per night XD

First thing to say is that the Thai restaurant below the hotel (and nothing to do with the hotel) is significantly dragging up the star rating for KW Hotels. This 'hotel' is poor. Lack of check-in, waited 15 mins for attention. Room and bathroom, whist warm, are akin to the worst student accommodation. No toilet paper, no shower gel, shower leaked from every connection. 4ft 'double' bed, no mattress protector, one hanger in the dusty wardrobe, blinds that leak street light and sun light into the room. Electrics extremely dubious. You pay your money and take your choice but for me I'll never be back.

An interesting hotel! The decor is very interesting, lots of retro movie posters and neon lights in the reception and halls. The room itself was cosy, warm and a good size for two people, we had a room with two beds, the beds were both "doubles" but actually would be small for two people. Cleanliness could be slightly improved as the room and bathroom was lacking detailed cleaning. The doors and walls are kind of thin too. The shower worked well and the bathroom was actually quite big. The blind in the room was broken (no string to open or close) and had been damaged further by people having to force their hand through the blind to open or close the window. The noise from the street is fairly loud until around midnight. Tea was available in the room (but not coffee 😑). The hallways had an odd smell like blocked drainage or something. The hotel and room are fine, generally, but considering £110 for one night not so great value for money. Staff member I met was polite and friendly.

Firstly the address needs to be clarified its says its on caledonian Road. But the entrance is brewary Road witch is a side so this makes it very confusing to find. There is very little sigeage until you have found the main entrance in the side road named above. It took 20 mins for the staff to come and unlock the door and check us in. It would be nice if the staff was on reception witch is by the main entrance instead of leaving you to wait around in a busy side road while trying to make a couple of stressful phone calls trying to make contact with the hotel phone manner is questionable when talking to a male who first answers . But with that said once you gain entry they are helpful and generally great staff. Would I stay again probley not

A very disappointing stay. Rooms small, poorly decorated and bathroom particularly dirty. Will never ever return. Staff friendly but everything else could do with massive improvement immediately!

I had contacted the hotel before my stay to ask if they could hold my luggage in the morning before check in which they agreed to. When I arrived at 10:30am there was no staff to be seen, we couldn’t even get in the front door so we were stood outside in the rain until 1:30 trying to contact the hotel. There was also a woman trying to find staff because her hotel room roof was leaking for hours and she couldn’t get hold of anyone. Then finally someone was at reception and informed us that the staff were on holiday which we were not informed about. We were happy with our room and ordered breakfast for the next morning which was £10 then when we went down to the restaurant in the morning to get our breakfast there was no staff anywhere once again. The restaurant looked abandoned. We were then finally greeted by the owner who was helpful. Just wish we were informed there was going to be no staff whatsoever.

Very comfortable room and we slept really well. Bathroom a bit dated but fine. Really friendly service and they do excellent Thai food downstairs. For the price it's perfect and I'd definitely come back again!
