When I first arrived at the industrial estate location I was a bit perturbed but on venturing inside it soon became apparrent that the Dolphin swim academy is excellent. The pool is heated, so perfect for babies, and the instructors have been fantastic, especially Donna. Lessons are a mix of songs and trying underwater challenges which have built my 6month yr olds confidence in water and she loves it each week. Its also been a brilliant way to meet other parents and we often lunch after a lesson. The service has also been great and when you have to miss a class you can easily book a replacement session so you never miss out. There is also parking if you're coming from further afield like me.

We've had a great experience at Dolphin Swim Academy. Our 3 year old has loved his lessons with Kerry - even rebuilding a pretend swimming pool in his room as he looks forward to his weekly lesson. He is now very comfortable in the water. Thank you to the team :)

My daughter has been swimming with Dolphins since the age of 4 and recently my son has started with them. They both love their swimming lessons and Donna is a fantastic teacher! My daughter has previously swam with Ben as well and he is great too! Nice warm pool and small sized classes means that the kids have a great experience. Would highly recommend to everyone!

I have two children age 4 & 2 that have been loving their lessons with Ben. Dolphin swim school has excellent facilities, big warm pool , good size change room , very clean and Covid safe. I have been to a few schools and impressed with how much underwater excises the kids do. My kids talk about Ben all week and enjoy coming to class every week. I would definitely recommend & will continue with our classes. Kate Mother.

Can highly recommend Dolphin Swim School in Mitcham. Donna is up there with the best! I used to go with my charges when I was a nanny and when I had my own child, I didn't hesitate to enrol him at Dolphins as well. The pool is warm, the facilities are clean and well maintained and the staff are friendly.

Wow! I was recommended this swim school by 3 parents and I can see why. Clare has been a great help with booking and general questions I've had. Savannah has been amazing with our daughter. She has gone from being a non-swimmer to swimming unaided in 4 lessons. Another reason we went with Dolphin swim school was that you can change lessons on the app and book make-up lessons without having to pay any extra. Will be highly recommending this firm to anyone who asks.

My 12 -month -old daughter has been attending their swimming classes since she was 8 weeks and we are going to continue for many more months or years. She can't wait for her weekly class and is always excited to be there. We love all the staff who are extremely helpful. The swimming instructors are brilliant and it is a pleasure to be with them, not only for kids but for parents too. The facilities of the swimming pool are very good -always clean, always warm. The soft play is a massive bonus. I must admit I have tried a couple of their rival baby swimming schools and none could stand a chance with Dolphins Swim Academy. I trust they will make my little girl and many more other babies confident swimmers.

Thank you Dolphins! Best thing I've done for my daughter. We just adore Donna, she is the best teacher all the kids love her! My girl won't be scared of the water like me and she is learning life saving skills. Can't wait to watch her progress every week.

Dolphin have been great with our little one, who started in the novice classes (no parental supervision) at 3yo. She was petrified at first, screaming and refusing to get into the water but Kerry (coach) was brilliant at coaxing her in and supervising her so she felt safe. Lee (manager) was very supportive and took the time to call me after I emailed to express concerns regarding our little one’s resistance. It took a few weeks but she eventually started getting in the pool easily. Two terms on and she loves it, particularly jumping in off the side. Her confidence has grown so much and her swimming progress has been noticeable too.

I started taking my baby girl for once a week swim lesson at about 6 months old. She was really scared and cried a lot at first but after a few more lessons, she got better and began to enjoy herself. We usually have Ben for our lessons, who is patient and allows us to take our time since I myself is a non-swimmer and slow in the water. We've also done lessons with Donna and Lee and they are great with the children too. Generally, I find all the teachers helpful, knowledgeable and experienced in handling children of all ages. The water and swimming room environment is warm and cosy which is what you need for young babies. The changing room can get very busy on popular days (Thursday, Friday, weekends) and time. But our usual day is on Monday at lunch time, so I generally don't have that problem. It's just a shame we've now had to stop our lessons as we are moving houses. I would highly recommend this place for your babies/children swim lessons. I also notice that a lot of the time the younger the babies start the lesson the better they take to water. And of course, bear in mind, you will be doing all the lifting in the water, so if your baby is chunky I advise you do some lifting exercise to prepare! 😂

Dolphin Swim academy is good, however the lessons are short 30 minutes for £17.50. Lee is an incredible teacher, so if you manage to get him then it's worth the price. Facilities are amazing, always clean, however because it is really busy i find parents sit and watch in the play area, therefore children have to always go around parents which isn't very fair on the kids playing.

Excellent swimming school - my 5 yr old made really quick progress compared to Better. The student teacher ratio is usually 4:1 but sometimes even less. Quality of teachers is very good, they develop good relationships with the children. The opportunity to rearrange lessons means you don't lose out when your schedule changes. Highly recommend Dolphin!

I have been taking my baby to Dolphin Swim Academy for 8 months. Besides being a fun/bonding activity to do with him, it has been amazing to see his progression and how confident he has became in the water. We started with Ben as teacher and are currently with Lee - both are great challenging the kids but also understanding their limits, and are very experienced. Facilities are purpose built, so there are lockers, changing mats/rooms, shower and even a nice soft play area with tables if you need to feed and entertain older children. Highly recommend for fun and to start learning how to swim from an early age.

Great pool and amazing teachers, my son has been going since he was 8 weeks old and my step son has also begun lessons at 8 years old too! The progress children make in such a small time is fantastic. A special shout out to Donna for the baby class as she’s put me at ease with taking my baby in swimming pools too.

I am a professional nanny and have been taking children to Dolphins swim school for many years, including my own son. The instructors are fantastic and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. They allow make up classes for missed sessions due to illness etc, which is amazing. The changing rooms are well equipped and clean, and the soft play area is a nice bonus. Highly recommended!

I'm so pleased we moved to Dolphin, which we did after excellent reviews from friends. I love the instructors. We've had three different ones between class changes or stand ins and I've been equally impressed with all 3. They have an excellent manner with the children and I'm in awe of their ability to get my child to listen so intently! The pool and facilities are always really clean and well maintained. The accompanying soft play frame is a godsend. I highly recommend!

I have been going to weekly swimming lessons with my daughter Lina since she was 5 months old (now 15 months). She absolutely loves it, and it is the highlight of the week. Donna, our teacher, is a very talented, gentle, thoughtful teacher and we love coming to her classes! I can clearly see the improvements Lina has made after all these months, and she is becoming more and more confident in the water. The venue is spacious for getting ready and changed (with a play pen to keep little ones safe while adults change) and it also has a soft play area while you wait for your class to start. We love Dolphin Swim Academy!

Really pleased to have found this swim school. My daughter could already swim 5 metres by the time we started attending classes here and had outgrown her previous pool. Her swimming has really improved since she started her lessons here and there is a really good focus on improving technique and moving on from the initial "doggy paddle" swimming. Facilities are excellent and always very clean. The instructors are all really friendly and great at keeping the kids' attention. The soft play next to the pool also comes in handy when there are siblings to entertain during the lessons... Already looking for a space for my son when he is ready to move up.

I have been bringing my daughter since she was 5 months old, she is now 3years old. Just before the initial lockdown (when she had just turned 2) she began swimming under the water on her own and was learning to swim on top of the water. Donna, my daughter's teacher, is just amazing. Highly experienced and passionate about teaching the children to swim. She has a fantastic relationship won't mt daughter and knows the best way to teach her, even when she's having an off day. We have also had make up sessions with the other teacher, Ben, who is also fantastic. They are both very positive and friendly. My daughter has always loved swimming lessons and looks forward to her lesson every week. The pool is lovely and warm and the changing rooms are always clean. Parking outside is also a bonus. I'd highly highly recommend them.

We took our daughter who was 10 months at the time and she really didn't like it, the room with the pool is so noisy and uninviting compared to the swimming lessons I found at a different pool. I stopped her lessons eventually as she would get so upset going there but now she loves the pool when I found a much nicer place. The instructor seemed kind but I would definitely view the venue before booking

I'm so glad I found Dolphins Swim School! My baby has been coming since he was 10 weeks old, as soon as swimming pools opened up again after covid restrictions we started group lessons and it has been fantastic. My baby is 6 months old now and is so happy to be in the water with me- it even helps with bathtime too, no tears when water splashes into his face. His teacher Donna is so good with all the babies and gives lots of praise. The facilities are great too- the changing room design makes changing your baby easy and takes away the stress of that. The pool and air temp are designed to be ideal for babies. It's my favourite activity of the week and we have already signed up for the next term because it's so fab!
