Great, greasy (but good greasy) thin crust pizza! We each got our own which left some of us with leftovers to bring home. The crispy cheese at the edge of the pizza is just perfection. Very small menu (only the pizza) but that’s how you know it’s worth it.

We are from India and when we were in US we really wanted to try the famous US version of Pizzas. While we were yet to visit NY, this was the first pizza we had in US and it really didn't disappoint. The thin crust pizzas with the spicy oil (which Indian would not like spice) were really amazing. The service was amazing with friendly servers. Also the Pizza can be customized as per your need. You have a set base and you pay for each topping so you can pick and choose the topping you like. Do not miss out on the Hot Oil as that's what sets them apart from any other pizza you get.

New Haven is the spot for pizza in Connecticut, but don’t sleep on Stamford’s Colony Grill! If you like your crust super thin and your pie crispy—the Colony Grill will make you feel like you died and went to heaven the second you walk through the bar entrance door. The place has been around for close to 90 years with only pizza on the menu, so you know it has to be good. Has a very cozy and friendly atmosphere, and the staff is amazing. The famous pie to get is the hot oil. It is not too spicy at first, but it catches up with you after the 3rd slice. These bar pies are the perfect size for one person. I loved the crispy crust. It was so stiff, you couldn’t even fold it. Flavor was great and the sauce didn’t overpower the pie. Menu is limited, but worth coming back for. Parking lot is a little tight, so your best bet is the back your car in.

The cheese pie with hot oil and a side of anchovies is my most favorite pizza in the world. The thinness is incredible. You can easily eat a whole pie on your own. We always make sure to stop by anytime we pass through CT. 😋 ❤️

It was my first time here. It was fantastic. I will definitely come back whenever I'm in town. I didn't get the Hot Oil since it was my first time but I hear it's really good. We got pepperoni, mushroom and black olive. It was "thin" crust (by Detroit standards). It was great. I loved it. Crispy and chewy at the same time.

Best thin crust pizza I've ever had!!! 1.5 hours drive from NJ was totally worth it. Tip: Don't order stingers on side. They don't taste as good as they do on pizza.

Been a few years since I'd last been to Colony but it was great to come back. The restaurant was pretty busy but still got a table right away. Waited a bit for friends, got some drinks and enjoyed all of the holiday decorations. Ordered some classic hot oil pizzas that came out relatively quickly and really hit the spot. Definitely worth a try if you haven't had one before!

We ordered the pepperoni and hot oil, mushroom and meatball, and breakfast pizza with egg, sausage, and bacon. All were amazing pizzas. We were aware that there was a Colony Grill in our area of Washington DC. However we wanted to try the original location just to compare and we're glad we did! Colony Grill is not quite the New Haven or New York experience. I would say it's in a category of it's own as far as thin crust pizzas go.

Talk about thin crust and great flavor. We had the hot oil pie and then half pepperoni/meatball. I'm not a spicy person, but the heat from the pepper was just right. The deli sliced pepperoni was a great addition as was the mini meatballs. I would definitely take a trip here again!

Best pizza I’ve had in a LONG time! I ordered a pepperoni pizza and my father ordered a sausage. The employees are SUPER polite and very friendly! The pizza came out great and right off the grill. Our pizzas are placed on the table less than 5 minutes. Super fast service. Will come here again

I ordered the hot oil pizza with peppers and mushrooms. The pizza has the perfect amount of spice for my taste. Veggies were fresh and service was good. Pizza took 15 mins to cook. I like this

Everything was spot on! Pizza was crispy, perfect size for one person and delicious! Crust was crispy but not too hard and the slice didn't flop at all when held up. Go here and enjoy!

The pizza here is absolutely f***’n amazing. Crunchy and hella flavor. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Slammed 4 pies down 😅. Hot oil (must try), bacon, sausage, and meatballs.

Found this place on the OneBite app with 8.4 so I decided give it a try when visiting. The pizza matched the score, definitely one of the best I’ve had! Was a little skimpy on sausage, besides that service and wait time was great! Price wasn’t so bad either, only $13 for personal pie!

Colony doesn’t need good reviews because if you know, you know! They have the best bar style pizza point blank, especially if you go to the OG Stamford location, which I’ve found that the other locations aren’t as good. My go to toppings are pepperoni (for the grease & hint of spice), onion (for the sweetness & crunch) and hot oil (for the flavor). You need the hot oil even if you don’t like spice! Needless to say, Colony is my favorite pizza, even more than all of the other legendary pizza spots in CT. You will not be disappointed!

One of the best pizzas we've ever tried. Thin crust is one of the key traits we want for our pizzas. All of the ingredients were spread out evenly across the entire surface of the pizzas. There were no burnt air bubbles that are commonly found on Italian-style pizzas. Kids loved it. I loved it. Will definitely eat here again on future trips nearby.

Wow!! I was told I had to eat at this cool little bar.....great advice!! The pizza (the only thing on the menu) rocks. Thin crust, hot oil and a salad on top? Brilliant!! A must visit. And the bar looks fun too. Bartender Melysa was awesome too!

Unfortunately I am very disappointed with colony grill I love their pizza but I will not ever be returning to any of their locations especially in Stamford. I’ve had family and friends work there even to back me up But today 11/04/2023 I ordered two pizza and I was taking a bite into my slice of pizza and I had shared with my significant other that it had a weird taste and smell to the pizza, me thinking it was the dressing but no I come to find out there is a BUG in the pizza. Which is extremely disgusting and so unsanitary. I’ve come to find out from friends and family that have worked there that they don’t wash their fresh produce so be careful when you eat there.

Pizza was dry. I asked for peppers on the pizza and I had only 3 piece of peppers on the pizza it was so disappointing when you get it home to find out that there was only 3 piece of peppers on it. Didn't want to drive back and say something. I just won't order anything else from them. I remember as a kid they were the best pizza around I can't say that now. They need to step there game back up. I know this is not great to say but Rico pizza is so much better than colony hands down.
