👍 I stopped by Black Ring Coffee during a run along the LA River bike path. The shop is bright and cozy, with a warm neighborhood shop vibe. Service was friendly too. I had an iced latte and it tasted good, just a little weird that the iced drink was served in a paper cup. People often mention coffee, shop, latte, good, spot, time, friendly, drink, great,

Good artisanal coffee roasted in house and meticulously made. They literally weigh the amount of ingredients to ensure quality and consistency. They also bottle their own cold brew and make their own syrups from scratch. Need I say more?

Okay, this is the spot for me. Any time I visit a new city, I seek out a coffee roastery. I can't get down with the evil mermaid and I prefer to support locally owned and operated businesses. We are staying about 15 minutes away from this shop and we drive down on a Friday morning to get caffeine and this shop is super funky and cool. The coffee roaster is in the back and the fact that they roast the coffee in house is a huge plus in my book. The man with the plan was extremely precise with every movement, every drink was made with love and everything was delicious. They have a traditional coffee menu, which is my jam and they have a specialty menu for those who are a bit more adventurous. I ordered a cortado and it was absolutely wonderful. Creamy and tasty, low acidity and just a fantastic drink. Espresso shot was breweed to perfection. Coffee grounds weighted first, fluffed and tampered just perfectly. I'll come back for sure!

The coffee made with bourbon is delicious, I could have had 3 more(the serving is small but the flavor is large) Tell em large Marge sent you (Pee Wee Herman's buddy)

Love this spot! Ordered a Whiskey Vanilla Iced Latte and it was the tastiest coffee drinks I have ever tasted. The flavors were great and not overly sweet nor artificial at all, and I loved how I could still taste the delicious deep earthiness of the coffee, with the sweet whisky cream on top of it- like different layers of flavor....that is straight up gourmet style! Definitely fair prices for what you get, and the place just feels good, friendly, and has awesome energy, plus the Barista was so helpful and welcoming. They've definitely got it right here, thank you all for the delicious coffee and great service - your hard work is appreciated 😁

It’s the perfect coffee shop to sit and read/study for hours on end. The vibe is extremely chill and non-pretentious. There’s a parking lot in the rear with extra tables btw.

Super dope spot. You come in and your longing for a coffee shop vibe is satisfied immediately. Very clean, modern. Got a honey oat latte made by barista, Esteban. Exceptional customer service. Atmosphere was very warm & casual. Got my study sesh in. You see regulars come in chattin. There’s a sense of community there. Loved it.

The pastry was good (sourced from Nonna Mercato) but the coffee was just ok. We had a hot whiskey vanilla latte and a iced burnt caramel collab, which were not that flavorful compared to Philz or 7leaves equivalents. This lower rating is specifically for an unhelpful barista who gave attitude and didn’t clarify anything when asked basic questions about the items on the menu. Most problematic was his attitude when asked for napkins - no apology and an assumption they were needed because we spilled something (we didn’t). If a coffee shop isn’t prepared to serve napkins with food items, it should at least apologize. I was floored at the barista’s response: “we don’t have anymore napkins.” 🤦🏽‍♂️

Parking might be tricky depending on the time of the day. Gluten free muffin that wasn't too sweet. There.aren't a lot of seating. More of a counter seating than table and chairs. No outdoor seating. The drink was good but luke warm. A little pricey. The service was good.

The Whiskey Vanilla Latte has to be one of the best things on their menu. I have had this beverage both iced and hot, and it’s delicious no matter how you take it. A great local spot for coffee.

It's the first time here and after living a few years in the area I discovered this incredible coffe where you can enjoy everything even good art. I love it.

Definitely worth a stop to try this little spot! Delicious small batch craft coffees, very 3rd wave approach. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Beans roasted in house. I’ll be back for sure!

Drinks are good but very frustrating to place a mobile order, go to pick it up at the time I'm given, and have the batista fully ring up and help other people while not acknowledging me at all and show no urgency whatsoever. My drink was ready 20 minutes after the pick-up time I was given, and I was late back from my work break. Don't have a mobile ordering system if you're not going to make it until 15 minutes after I show up to pick it up anyway.

coffee is awesome! 👍 such a foam that is difficult to find in other cafe and bars! This place has become my favorite❤️. but 50% my time I do not go there, choose other places, because there is not enough to eat (like hot sandwich) other than sweet. I have to choose other places for example for a quick breakfast to go, also those where the coffee is less tasty

Their coffee is top-notch, especially the Cortados—definitely among the best in Long Beach. What I really dig about this place is the chill vibe. It's perfect for getting some work or studying done without the whole loud music scene. I'd totally recommend this spot to anyone who loves a cozy place with amazing coffee. It's a gem for North Long Beach. NOTE: There's plenty of parking in the back. Alley access is through Market St.

Great little spot in North Long Beach! Love their Matcha Lattes with Oat Milk! They also have a parking lot in the back.

I used to LOVE their honey oat lattes (I've bought here for my team, made a few converts) and now it's watered down 🥺. Here's to hoping they return to the old recipe, because it was HEAVENLY. Also, I shop at the nearby stores too and it seems BRC is callous with how they interact with the old businesses on parking 😬 it was awkward to see an interaction about it this past week.

Very comfortable and casual. The coffee is great and so are the teas. Art (and plants) can be found on the walls and there is even merch to pick up like cups, coffee bags- even a vending machine of nick nacks. There is a restroom and usually some music playing.

Paul was awesome and took the time to answer any questions I had. From East Hollywood, will be coming back for sure. 🤙🏽 pour overs, latte& vibes were all on point.

Nice chill spot. There’s parking next to the building. Came here during my lunch break. Coffee: super known for their whiskey latte.

Delicious coffee ☕️ friendly staff, space is bright and welcoming, beautiful art 🖼 prints on the wall for sale and other goodies to take home or give away as gifts 🎁

Walked in through the back and was delighted at the vibe and atmosphere. It's a nice place to work , very hip. They have 2 sizes for their coffee. The smaller has 2 shots of espresso and the larger(16oz) has 3 so make sure you can handle that much if you get the larger one. Had the honey oat latte, iced. Pretty yummy , will come back!!!

Easily the best coffee shop in North Long Beach. One of the best in the entire city. They roast their own beans in house, so the quality is top tier. The baristas are all very cordial and friendly. They have no problem chatting with you as you enjoy your coffee. It's a small shop so it feels personal, yet but enough for you to get work done or enjoy some peace and quiet. Great ambiance, great people, great coffee.

It's a small quaint place with good coffee. I have to try more flavors in the future

Whiskey vanilla latte is fantastic probably the best latte you'll find in all of long Beach, very cool interior design here and cool art on display. Small never super busy shop so drinks aren't churned out as fast as a chain spot but be patient and once you get your drink you won't be disappointed
