Great
lake
for
loading
a
boat
and
heading
out
safely
for
a
great
time.
All
the
employees
at
the
lake
were
very
courteous
and
nice.
We
had
no
problems
at
all.
We
were
boating
on
Thursday
September
3rd
2020
and
were
very
surprised
by
how
slow
the
lake
was
with
boats.
We
practically
had
the
lake
to
ourselves.
This
weekend(Labor
Day)
is
supposedly
gonna
be
packed.
Luckily
we
went
beforehand
and
we
were
able
to
find
ourselves
a
nice
little
private
beach
to
anchor
the
boat
and
have
some
lunch
and
brew.
Swam
around
the
boat
and
fooled
around
for
a
bit
then
went
back
out
to
an
empty
lake.
Good
times!
Floating
restrooms,
aluminum
boat
rentals,
tackle
shop,
sheriff's
department
were
all
open
after
fires
and
even
during
this
covid19.
Don't
forget
your
sunblock,
safety
gear,
gas,
food,
drinks,
toys,
towels,
sunglasses,
floating
devices,
skis,
knee
board,
tubes,
registration
and
license.
Call
ahead
for
weather
conditions
and
hours
of
operation.
It
can
get
pretty
windy
at
Castaic
Lake
but
overall
great
time.
Good
luck,
be
safe
and
have
a
great
time!
Please
pack
out
what
you
pack
in!
Don't
leave
your
trash
around
the
lake!
P.s...
when
you
bring
your
boat
to
this
lake,
it
will
be
inspected
upon
arrival
and
if
there
is
ONE
DROP
OF
WATER
IN
YOUR
BOAT,
IT
WILL
NOT
PASS
INSPECTION,
due
to
the
invasive
mussel
that
spreads
between
lakes
and
destroys
the
ecosystem
of
the
lakes.
