I arrived at 7 a.m. Saturday 19th Credit card machine was down, was a Lil skeptical went to Ralph's got 12 cash back paid entrance fee and let me tell I'm sure glad that I did... Excellent getaway from Conjested LA best bang for the buck! It was like having a few acres to myself, surplus of parking, restrooms, green grass and trees [FRESH AIR]! Had a wonderful scenic wall arround the park the ambiance was chill, A lot people fishing, and in good spirits, No one got in my way nor did I get in anyone's way which is saying something for a park with in close proximity to Los Angeles. It was nice after my walk to Stretch lay down a towel plant my barefoot on the grass and read with nobody walking close by and feeling at home. Thank heavens a place like this exist arround here.🙏

Beautiful gem in North LA county. Take your boat, canoe or kayak and have a blast. Several beach spots for BBQs and for your pups to hang around.

Great lake for loading a boat and heading out safely for a great time. All the employees at the lake were very courteous and nice. We had no problems at all. We were boating on Thursday September 3rd 2020 and were very surprised by how slow the lake was with boats. We practically had the lake to ourselves. This weekend(Labor Day) is supposedly gonna be packed. Luckily we went beforehand and we were able to find ourselves a nice little private beach to anchor the boat and have some lunch and brew. Swam around the boat and fooled around for a bit then went back out to an empty lake. Good times! Floating restrooms, aluminum boat rentals, tackle shop, sheriff's department were all open after fires and even during this covid19. Don't forget your sunblock, safety gear, gas, food, drinks, toys, towels, sunglasses, floating devices, skis, knee board, tubes, registration and license. Call ahead for weather conditions and hours of operation. It can get pretty windy at Castaic Lake but overall great time. Good luck, be safe and have a great time! Please pack out what you pack in! Don't leave your trash around the lake! P.s... when you bring your boat to this lake, it will be inspected upon arrival and if there is ONE DROP OF WATER IN YOUR BOAT, IT WILL NOT PASS INSPECTION, due to the invasive mussel that spreads between lakes and destroys the ecosystem of the lakes.

I loved this place! Peaceful and clean. Boat rentals are available if you want to explore the lake. Restrooms are available and clean. No swimming but it’s great to spend time just being close to nature or go picnicking with your family. Pets are welcome but must be on a leash. Not too busy and lots of parking spaces. Closes at 7PM or probably by Sunset.

Wonderful place just to walk around with your family. There is not many people there right now.

Really nice area for day use during the autumn or spring. During the summer it is crazy hot there. You can have a good time by the water enjoying the walk or doing bbq. A lot of people come fishing here. You will see a lot of fishing boats there. I saw some fish in the in the water because it is pretty clear. There are a lot of playgrounds for toddlers. And It is a dog friendly location so welcome to bring your little friends. I believe during the summer time you are allowed to swim in the lake. They also have a campground on opposite site of the lake.

Excellent! I loved it, we went on a Friday and had the lake all to ourselves. We stay all day, we only left because the mosquitoes kick us out. Can't wait to go back

Me and my grand boys had a great time outfishing this past Friday on the 13th

So I arrived with my children at the lake today at 1pm, paid 12.50 for a all day swim pass, and the minute out feet touched the water we were told to get out of the water IMMEADIATLY! We went back to the front gate and were told there were no refunds, mind you we had only been at the lake for 12minutes. The troll looking 18yr old who was entirely disrespectful informed us that if we didn't like it she would call the sheriff's. Needless to say that after 17 years of spending summers at this lake we will no longer spend money here. I understand that it is difficult to find help ar this ti.e, but the trash manored troll that was working today at the entrance Willmar it the reason we never come back. Whoever is hiring these people needs to reevaluate their hiring procedures

Nice place to fish, they have boat rentals, but you need to be there 5am, is first came first serve!! Good place to take the Family, auper recommend @guia_los_angeles

Best bass fishing in socal .and the lagoon is nice for fishing too but in summer I just love to kayak.

Very good lake just the water level has gone down alot

A lot of police presence harassing the people around the pier on the lower lake. Mainly during the afternoon night time. Hard to enjoy fishing.

I love this place. It feels at home to me and wish i could own the old recreational area. Water is cold but a very refreshing break from the heat.

“Lake Lifegaurds” (Are these like the drop outs?) are fascists, enforcing rules they don’t understand. No dogs (depends who you ask) . No alcohol. No swimming. What’s the point? Pass on this one.

One of the lifeguards was rude but other than that I had a great time!

Sumer swing for me and my kids even my brother and sister’s and their kids, we are there at least two or three times per summer/nice quiet place and relaxing atmosphere, and don’t forget your grills

I keep going back for the quiet and peacefulness. Shower needs fixed. But 4 star.

My wife I went to the lake November 16 to use my boat it was really really windy But we have fun The lifeguard crew. Were really helpful thanks. 👍👍👍👍

Great place for a 100 degree day!

Camping at Castiac started great until they played a movie for the boat riders who were on the other side of campsite. The movie was so loud and finished at 12am.

Awesome overlooked lake
