Our
stay
here
was
an
okay
one,
and
we
gave
this
rating
due
to
the
following
reasons:
1.
Check-In
process:
On
the
night
of
our
check
in
after
a
long
day
of
travel,
our
check
in
process
was
not
very
pleasant.
It
sounded
like
there
had
been
an
incident
prior
to
our
arrival.
Upon
arrival,
the
door
into
the
hotel
was
locked,
and
we
stood
outside
for
a
bit
before
2
police
officers
in
green
uniforms
came
to
join
us,
they
were
also
trying
to
get
into
the
hotel,
but
the
front
desk
staff
kept
us
all
waiting.
Eventually,
they
opened
the
door
into
the
hotel
lobby
to
the
police
officers
and
to
us,
we
were
not
greeted,
we
were
ignored.
The
front
desk
staff
was
in
the
process
of
checking
another
couple
in,
when
the
officers
walked
in
there
was
a
hostile
exchange
between
one
of
the
officers
and
the
front
desk
staff,
one
of
the
police
officers
asked
the
front
desk
staff
what
happened,
he
replied
stating
that
some
people
came
in
and
grabbed
some
items
and
ran
out.
The
police
officer
then
asked
him
(the
front
desk
staff)
what
they
looked
like,
he
replied
ignorantly,
with
hostility,
and
in
a
racist
manner
"
A
BUNCH
OF
BLACK
PEOPLE"
We
were
taken
aback
by
this
and
offended
by
his
statement
and
actions,
as
I
am
"Black".
The
police
officer
then
replied
to
him
(front
desk
staff),
that
his
statement
was
uncalled
for.
And
he
replied,
stating
"Whatever"!
I
did
not
like
this
behavior
at
all
and
his
racist
statement,
regardless
of
what
transpired
before
we
arrived.
We
almost
cancelled
our
reservations
and
went
to
stay
in
another
hotel.
Unfortunately
we
were
both
exhausted
and
had
to
be
up
really
early
the
next
morning.
After
that
whole
drama,
and
after
he
was
done
checking
in
the
couple
in
front
of
us,
he
still
ignored
us
and
was
on
the
phone
talking
to
someone
about
how
the
officers
broke
the
door
and
therefore
there
was
no
security
since
the
doors
could
no
longer
lock.
After
all
of
that
we
expected
some
sort
of
apology,
but
none
was
given
whatsoever.
He
was
still
on
the
phone
while
asking
for
our
information
in
order
to
check
us
in.
We
provided
the
information,
and
he
proceeded
to
check
us
in
and
gave
us
our
keys.
We
were
not
happy
about
the
check
in
process
at
all.
I
guess
this
is
how
we
get
welcomed
to
Albuquerque
and
to
Hilton
Homewood
suites
for
the
first
time.
We
absolutely
will
not
be
staying
at
this
location
if
we
returned
to
Albuquerque.
And
right
now
we
are
unsure
if
we
would
give
Hilton
Homewood
suites
another
try.
2.Additionally,
there
was
a
hole
behind
the
door
in
the
bedroom.
Although
the
front
desk
offered
to
come
fix
it,
we
did
not
want
to
be
disturbed
and
asked
them
to
do
so
after
we
checked
out.
This
is
something
they
should
have
noticed
prior
to
check-in
and
fixed
without
us
having
to
point
it
out.
3.
The
garbage
disposal
in
the
kitchen
wasn't
working.
4.
The
room
next
door
had
kids
and
they
were
really
loud
both
at
night
and
in
the
early
morning.
I
did
notify
the
front
desk
about
this.
Suggestions:
Do
take
the
time
to
thoroughly
inspect
the
hotel
rooms
to
be
sure
everything
is
working
as
it
should
be
and
there
are
no
maintenance
repairs
to
be
done
prior
to
checking
in.
This
hotel
was
booked
by
a
company,
otherwise
we
would've
checked
out
the
next
day
and
asked
for
a
refund.
Do
educate
your
front
desk
staff
on
how
to
provide
excellent
customer
service,
on
the
appropriate
way
to
treat
guests
regardless
of
their
race.
Lastly,
do
educate
your
front
desk
staff
on
professionalism
and
on
how
to
keep
their
personal
biases
to
themselves!!!
