Stopped by ordered a California Burrito. It tasted very fresh and delicious. I enjoyed the burrito and would recommend this place. A casual spot for Mexican food. This place has a bar too. Give it a shot. The place looks closed because of the tinted windows, but make sure you check the neon open sign is lit before you leave. Nice patio. Came back for a steak and shrimp plate. Fresh tortillas. Very good food. Fast and friendly service.

The food is very delicious. Made fresh when you order it. The salsa is flavorful without burning your mouth. The chips are made fresh and come out hot. Without a doubt they have the best Menudo in town. I just wish they would fill it to the top of the bowl. The cornea Sada tacos are phenomenal. The Barbacoa tacos and chimichanga is flavorful and juicy. Most of all the presentation of your food is beautiful. It hits all your five senses, flavor, visual, taste, and smell. The Zacatecas influence from Mexico definitely shows in their food. Although it is a bit expensive for Mexican food. With that being said, you can tell ingredients are high-quality and fresh. One of the only things that would put Food Topia over the top is having artwork from Zacatecas, in order to immersed you in the culture of where the food influence comes from.

Wonderful place. I walked in for the first time tonight. The tortilla chips are made fresh and the salsa is great. The Carne asada burrito is delicious as are the chicken tacos. Do come in and try this restaurant, it won't hurt your wallet either.

I love it so much that I come here every week AND I even came here for my bday. I’m from South Texas by the border where we have REAL Mexican food just like this restaurant does. The food and salsa is literally just so delicious!! Crispy tacos with red salsa are my fav. Try itttt!

Foodtopia restaurant had Birria Taco and consume sauce for weeks. We (Me and my girlfriend) ordered Birria Taco and Chicken Fried Quesadilla. Both Birria Taco and fried Quesadilla was new to us and we loved it. I seldom eat mexican food but those two dishes were worth the wait. Some might find their price a bit high. It might be because it is in the middle of Downtown or because place was too clean and food was a delight. Friendly service, quality food and sanitized place was what we were looking for and we got what we were looking for.

My wife has been telling me about this place for the longest time. So one evening we came here for dinner. We wanted to try a little bit of everything. So we ordered the Carne Asada Fries, Traditional Flautas, 4 tacos: 2 Carne Asada & 2 Birria, and Fried Quesadilla with chicken. Everything was amazing and you’ll definitely pay for good quality food. The fried quesadilla were like stuffed empanadas, a must try. All in all we’ll be back.

This place was super delicious! Their chips and salsa were fantastic. The chips were homemade and super crispy and hot. I got the cheese enchilada plate and every part was absolutely perfect. I had to add some salt to mine, no big deal. My partner got the beef flautas plate. Again outstanding. Everything was reasonably priced as well. We'll definitely be back.

Very nice atmosphere. Friendly wait staff. Guacamole was delicious and creamy. Shrimp soft tacos were very tasty. This kind of food reminds me of the good old days traveling in Mexico in the 1980's. Worth eating here again.

Not impressed with the food. My husband wanted birrea, a dish that usually comes as a soup. They said they only have it in quesadillas or burritos. If they claim to be authentic they would know that is not right. It seemed very pricey for Mexican food, and the ambience was all wrong. I ordered the flautas ahogadas and they were good but pricey.

Considering the homeless person was being very unruly, & violent with the hostess he was very professional and seated us at the bar where we ordered our food before showing the guy the door. Mad respect to the cooking staff for having a spot in such a rough spot of town, the food was spot on. Not tex mex but great quality NM Mexican food

Amazing food, some of the best Mexican food I've ever had! (To be fair, I've had limited experience with authentic Mexican food.) Ordered chips and guac, which was so creamy and delicious. Also had the fried quesadillas with chicken and they were unbelievably good. The chicken was very high quality too, with good white meat and no little hard bits (from ground bone or whatnot) like chicken from lower quality restaurants has. Service was laid back and super friendly. The restaurant is in a bit of a seedy area, but the food is amazing!

Super fresh and authentic Mexican food. Definitely the best Birria burrito I have had. Food came out fast, was hot, and the meat was seasoned well, very tender. Only draw back was I did not receive napkins, but when the food is this good who cares!

Delicious food but burritos are $15 no matter their contents which just feels wrong. If I get bean and cheese I don’t want to pay the same as my friend who’s getting a California burrito. It doesn’t make sense. Been frustrated by this for a while probably will find a new place to go.

Skip the wait at Tomacitos and come here! That’s what we did- and we are so excited to find a new favorite restaurant. Delicious food with a pretty presentation- and awesome service!

Best chips I've ever had. I've been here five times in the last three weeks and I keep coming back for the chips. Every time it's been very good food, and the service has been very friendly. Can definitely recommend the burritos and the nachos.

This is a little well located Mexican restaurant. The staff is very friendly, attentive and niceThe queso and chips are fantastic. I ordered 4 tacos. They were packed with Carne Asada and had amazing flavor. This place is definitely worth the trip to visit!

Despite there only being one server, we got everything quickly and it was delicious! I got birria tacos on recommendation and they were very good. Server working was polite and brought fresh sauces when we wanted takeaway boxes instead of packing up the ones already on the plate, a welcome step above and beyond.

We really enjoyed the food. My Barbacoa burrito tasted great and so did the rice and beans. We aren’t used to paying for chips, but they were great nonetheless. Unfortunately there was only one worker so we waited a while for silverware after receiving our food. Otherwise it was very good!

I had to say, if you want fresh food Mexican food this is the place Yes they take a bit longer but they make everything fresh. Gorditas amazing great flavor authentic tomatoes are fresh cabbage is fresh meats cook perfectly though I will say the pork was a bit dry Just a little bit, but it was a little bit dry. Chile relleño it has a great kick spicy but is good. The carne asada fries they have great flavor very simple but they have great flavor. Overall I would say it's a good place Just make sure that they read back what you're ordering but other than, what you are looking for in Mexican food this place has it.
