Grouper and crab cakes was 10/10 one of the best dinners I’ve ever been served. Perfectly prepared and just awesome. Waitress told us she’s worked there for 23 years and obviously loved it here. The appetizers and dessert (baklava sundae) were equally good. Food was served piping hot and super well time. Ambiance is A+. Such a cool place.

We went here for dinner on Friday night. We didn't have a reservation, but we got seated right away. We sat outside. At first, I was impressed by the building and design. The place is beautiful. When we went, the place was packed. Nevertheless, the service was good. The menu is full of food around the world. We tried the focaccia, and we immediately regretted not getting a large. It has simple ingredients, yet it was delicious. We ordered a burger and ribs. It was cooked perfectly and delivered to our table hot. The flavoring was amazing. We ordered wine, but we realized that we just paid $32 for a wine that you can buy for $15 at Walmart. Overall, we will definitely come back to order more focaccia and try the other food in the menu.

Great atmosphere, wonderful service, a ton of variety, and excellent cuisine! This is one of our favorite go to places in Louisville. The menu offers a great variety of food and flavors from around the world. Everything I've tried has been delicious! I highly recommend the goat cheese appetizer or the brie. Great outdoor patio!

Beautiful cafe with great decor and artwork. There’s a covered outdoor area and 2 indoor dining rooms. The room with the bar was cozy and very comfortable. The menu has a huge range of choices and everything sounded amazing. We ended up getting the Egyptian Kitchen and Indian paella, which were both absolutely delicious. The hostess and server were both very friendly and service was awesome. We came here for drinks before but now that we’ve had the food here, we will definitely be coming back for more!

The service was great. The drinks were good. The atmosphere was slightly romantic if a bit aged and dingy. Our food was brought to us quickly and the presentation was nice. I just wish that the food tasted better. We had the fish with crab cakes, curried paella, and tuna tartar appetizer. All but the paella was under seasoned. The paella was a bit soupy. If given the opportunity, we may return but would likely opt for sandwiches or salads.

The menu is a fusion of different ethnic cuisines Weekend dinners - reservation is needed for sure When we went on a Saturday evening , looked like they were under-staffed. Our waitress looked very tired and little grumpy Poor thing ! Food items were flavorful. Cooked to the spice level that we requested 👍

Whenever we are in Louisville, we don’t leave before we eat at Ramsi’s at least once! It is not just a restaurant- it is an experience! The staff is incredible- caring and professional! Food is all delicious!!! Highly recommend!!!

This place was amazing and I will definitely be going back! First they have so many different types of dishes to pick from! They have Egyptian, Italian, Spanish, Columbian, thi, and much more different variations of foods all over the world. So this is a great place to go if no one can decide on a restaurant. Our group had the pollo nuevo havana dish, the tortellini graciella, hoisin tuna, curried chicken and shrimp, and the Kosta burger. No one at the table had complaints about their dishes and they all looked delicious! Additionally, they had a pretty decent wine list at reasonable prices. Plus the atmosphere was cool, it felt like we were in a Bookstore/Cafe kind of shop with lots of interesting decorations from around the world. This is not a restaurant you can fully experience I'm one visit!

I had a great Sunday evening dining experience at Ramsi's Cafe on the World. Here are some noteworthy aspects of my visit that might be useful in planning your trip: Providing that weather is decent, off-street parking in the surrounding area should suffice. I recommend you allow 30-60 minutes for a leisurely walk to the venue. As a bonus, one to three laps around the area can help work up an appetite. Judging from the lack of a crowd upon arrival, reservations seemed unnecessary — but I still recommend going through OpenTable for the peace of mind and the points. Whether you dine indoors or outdoors on the patio, Ramsi's is packed with low-key conversation pieces that create a novel but relaxed atmosphere. The patio is optimal in my book, however. As far as the menu goes, there is something for everybody on this menu. The drink menu had some intriguing sours and the appetizer menu had several temptations. Ultimately, however, I went with the tortellini graciella with chicken, which I understand to be a house favorite, and the staff thoughtfully prepared a stir-fry with grouper (fish), potatoes, and other mixed vegetables, which after many visits to the kitchen our thoughtful, kind, and pleasant waiter, Sol, helped arrange (as my girlfriend needed an option that was 100% free of egg, dairy, gluten, cane sugar, and oats). Just in case we wanted more of a kick, Sol even brought us some cracked black pepper and red pepper flakes, which were greatly appreciated. We will absolutely return in the future. The jerk tortellini has been on my mind ever since Sol mentioned it as a possibility for the next visit. 🤤

I cannot rave about this place enough! I’ve lived in the Louisville area for almost 30 years and did not discover Ramsi’s until just recently. I’ve been back multiple times since! The atmosphere is unique and interesting, and the food is outstanding. I love the brussels sprouts salad And the garlic goat cheese appetizer. Great dining experience!

Went to Ramsi's for dinner. The food was fine. The portions are very fulfilling. Tried the Salma's Fish Sandwich as recommended on other reviews. The sandwich was a bit dry, needed more sauce in it. Overall a nice place for brunch or dinner.

Color me shocked. We showed up without a reservation and had to wait about an hour and a half (our fault, not the restaurants) but let me tell you what... Freaking WORTH IT. I tried the Sari Wrap, the Punjabi Samosas, and the banana trifle. All top teir dishes that just blew me out of the water. None of it seemed like it was nuked in a microwave, because it nuked me out of my senses. I literally almost cried trying the Sari Wrap. Everything tasted very traditional and authentic, the people were lovely, the atmosphere was wonderful. 10/10 would go again next time I'm in Louisville. Heck, I might come up just for Ramsi's. Maybe next time we will make a reservation! 🤣

It was a really nice dinner. My table wasn’t ready when We got there so they invited us the first round of drinks at the bar. Then, they transferred us to the table. The food was really good, my favorites were Mr grabs grouper fish and the Shanghai stir-fry.

I read the reviews and was excited to come. I was just visiting and after an appointment I stopped in right when they opened. Food: Mediocre at best. They didn't have what I really wanted to order (the vegan bahn mi) so I got the (jun something Stew, hummus and jerk tofu sandwich (idr the exact name anymore) Jun something Stew: As someone who lives in Japan there's nothing Japanese about it lol it tastes like overly salty minestrone soup tbh. The bowl is large but shallow too so not much soup. (I was low-key happy cause it wasn't good lol) Hummus: there was zero flavor. Just chickpeas and tahini lol mind you in my hometown there's an Egyptian restaurant that has THE BEST hummus. (I ordered it everywhere I went because in Japan there is no hummus and when I try to make it here it also has no flavour like Ramsi's haha) THE CHICKPEAS WERE HARD 😭 like they just took them out the can, rinsed em off and put them on the hummus lol The vegetables were old for the hummus. (But I'm all for no wasting so I'm happy they used them before they expired completely.) THE GLUTEN FREE VEGAN PITA BREAD WAS DELICIOUS!!!!!!! I think it's called chapati, that was great! Jerk tofu sandwich: It literally tastes like mild bbq sauce drenched tofu on two pieces of chipati. Nothing jerk about it lol (I left it as a "gift" for my best friend before I left haha) I ordered a ginger ale cause it said it was homemade, but idt the waiter heard me cause I never got it. Not mad either cause I wasn't charged and if it's anything like the other food idt I'd like it. Final food thoughts: I feel like because they just opened they just heated up leftover food from the night before. The best part of the food was the gf vegan chapati bread and water! Lol Service: The guy was nice and did his best that early in the morning. Atmosphere: Absolutely stunning!! There's so many interesting artifacts and things inside and the courtyard is beautiful. (I just don't like eating outside.) Hopefully they're real and not just pictures... Overall thoughts: It was meh, wouldn't go again besides for some fresh gf vegan chapati. And I now use the word Ramsis as an adjective to describe nasty things with my best friend. My metric is now something is either delicious or ramsi's lol For example: this restaurant is too dang expensive for its food to be Ramsi's lol (this sentence is about Ramsi's haha meta) Total was $50.40 idr if this included tip or not You should go and try it out for yourself tho, everyone's tastes are different!

Like someone else said, service 👌, drinks 👌, atmosphere 👌👌👌. The food was just shy of very good, my party noted that the salmon was a little overdone, and the tortellini was lacking in flavor. I still enjoyed the food and experience.

OH MY GOD SUCH DELISH FOOD!!! Such a cute place and patio and we got to enjoy the nice weather and service. Our server was very sweet and recommended us some very good food. We got this goat cheese and garlic bread stuff as an appetizer that I tried and usually i hate goat cheese but this stuff was amazing! Our food came out fast and the portions were HUGE! I got the tuna tartare with spinach salad and it came with tons of tuna, and I tried my sisters peanut thai noodles and they were super savory and yum! We ended off by having baklava and it was very good as well. Amazing portions, large menu, fast service, and many vegan/vegetarian options as well :)

Love the vegan options And the fact that it showed if it was gluten free or not since I am both. The nachos and the Stir fry were great the picture with the crab cakes And mashed potatoes (it was supposed to be rice but we switched it out) was not vegan. I did not try that 1 but my stir fry was great and Appetizer With the giant nacho things was amazing The outdoor seating was beautiful too Even though you're in a busy end of town behind the wall it's still outdoor It's like a secret Get away

Oh my goodness, the food here is delicious. We ordered three dishes and two appetizers for take out and we split it three ways so we could all taste the different meals. It was mouth watering. Food was fresh and hot. It was seasoned perfectly. I would highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking for fine food from different locations around the world. I would rank Ramsi's Cafe way up there for the quality and quantity. If I can add one bit of constructive criticism, l would suggest they increase the amount of Z-potatos with the meals. Two slices of potatoes are not really a side but more a garnish.

This place is a gem. There was something for everyone there on the menu. We were a fairly large group and everyone raved about there food and experience there. The service was good, and the food was even better. Their menu is so eclectic, just like the environment. I ordered the east meets south fajitas and it was very tasty. The portion sizes were good as well. I had enough for left overs and was happy to finish my food for breakfast, but unfortunately it was accidentally tossed it. Let's just say I was crushed! I will most definitely be back and I'm sure the guest I dined with would be back as well whenever we are back in Kentucky.

Went to celebrate my husband's birthday. Found them by googling best restaurants in Louisville, as we are visiting from North Carolina. Started with a quick drink at the bar, as we waited for our rable for 7 on the patio to ge ready. Our server, Wensi?, was amazing! We truly enjoyed everything from our drinks, appetizers to our dinner. Atmosphere is incredible!! Love ALL of the unique art! Highly recommend this fabulous place!

On a Friday (late afternoon) environment was superb! Seating available inside, outside, and outside but within an enclosure (which is great if you have little ones!) Did I mention kid friendly atmospherically but also kid friendly menus! Wait team was very helpful in explaining the various international meals, but don't fret, American food is there as well. I thoroughly enjoyed the dish from Havana. Enjoy!

We were invited for a birthday party. The service overall was very good. The food came in a timely fashion. The plating was quite well done and flavorful. The sweet tea was not as good as I would expect for $3. It seemed like it was Lipton and watered down. The prices of most items is reasonable.

Ramsi's really has something for everyone, even the annoying picky eaters in my family. Everything I've tried has been so flavorful and obviously cooked with love. The homemade ginger ale is an amazing option for those who don't drink. I love the warm, friendly atmosphere and decor, and the service is always great as well! A true Louisville staple

We had a great time. We reserved a table online, our waitress was very kind and the food was delicious. We ordered the vegan chilaquiles and it was one of the best vegan dishes we have ever had in a restaurant. My husband ordered the roasted Vegetable salad I the vegan fish tacos. The tacos didn't have a super fishy taste which I liked and they tasted well. I wasn't fond of the cheesy beans it came with but other than that was great. Hubby loved his sandwich. Ordered the vegan chocolate cake like dessert to go and while it was too rich for more than a bite for me he enjoyed it!

Portions are really HUGE! Like my husband and I would’ve been fine with only one plate of pasta and one appetizer, the focaccia was excellent but the menu said that was on a flatbread and we got regular thick bread. We also ordered a roasted garlic & goat cheese, the menu didn’t say that comes with olives (we don’t like olives) and the cheese was dipped on olive’s sauce. The tortellini was lacking flavor a lot, it was very simple on taste and was SUPER soupy. Overall a good atmosphere, menu is a little off, I wish the pasta had flavor and we paid $85 for this dinner with no drinks.

WOW!!! 🌟🎂🎈 This has been the best birthday restaurant on Bardstown Rd. The staff was above and beyond friendly, the food was incredible. I called to reserve a table for my Mom and Uncles 53rd Birthday, I asked the staff member on the phone if I would be able to bring my own cake & they said “Yes of course we’ll even cut and plate it for you”. When they brought us our slices my mom and uncles had lit candles, strawberries and chocolate sauce included 🥹 our server was very thoughtful & helpful. For dinner tonight we ordered: 🥘 🍗 🍄 -Medjool Dates Luscious dates and goat cheese, served warm. (Vegetarian) -Louis Marsala Chicken breast sautéed with mushrooms in Marsala wine. With mashed potatoes and shrimp garnish. -East Meets South Fajitas Beef strips, sautéed bell peppers and onions, Mexican rice, sour cream and guacamole. With Indian Paratha for wrapping. -Pollo nuevo havana blackened chicken breast, tamarindo jalapeno sauce, boursin cheese. with basmati rice, stir-fried vegetables. -Chicken Parmesan Chicken, lightly breaded, marinara and Parmesan on Cuban bread. For drinks we ordered: 🍹 🍺 🍷 -Old Fashioned buffalo trace bourbon, angostura, sugar, orange peel -Budweiser - The Forbidden tequila blanco, lime, pomegranate, chili rim Overall the experience here at Ramsi’s cafe was wonderful and I will surely be back for more celebrations at this restaurant. My favorite was the Louis Marsala, the chicken was so tender and the mix with mashed potatoes was delicious. 10/10 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

We had a GREAT experience here today!! This was our first time here and I cannot wait to eat here again. Our server was Soul (or Solè?) and he was TERRIFIC!!! He was honestly one of the best servers I have ever had. He was fast, took care of us, explained every single menu item we asked about and even some we didnt know we wanted to try and helped me not waste money immensely. I was going to order a side of potatoes after we ordered our entree and both meals but instead of adding it like most servers would, he told me to try a potato off my husbands plate because these potatoes are cooked differently and are not like people think and if I like them he will get them cooked super fast and bring them out. I tried a bite and didnt like it at all and would have wasted them and the money. I couldnt stop thanking him. He also mentioned the goat cheese and bread appetizer when we were asking what to get and it was INCREDIBLE. I had never tried that before. The steak my husband had was cooked to perfection and the cheese tortellini with chicken mushrooms and pesto cream sauce was SO SO SO good. The servings are really big too so we took them to go. And the prices arent bad either. If every dining experience is like the one we had today I would eat out so much more and I would come to this place every week. I think everyone should try this place. I cannot wait to try the east meets south fajitas next.

Ramsi’s is consistently, one of the most interesting menus and eclectic restaurants in Louisville! Super fun vibe both inside and on the enclosed patio. Something for everyone here. Excellent friendly service.

Very neat place. Good menu that make me have hard time to decide which one because most of them looks good. I decided to do something different that I haven't tried. I ordered Eygpt Kitchen with poached egg. It is very good. I quite enjoyed it. I would love to come back and visit for few more dishes.

Great experience here! Food was delicious and their menu is unique but has something for everyone! Foccacia was great; Tuna Tartare was a new dish for me and it was shockingly delicious. Egyptian Kitchen (Kusheri) Was also a new dish for us but was the favorite of the night!
