I’m sad to say it took us several years of living in our neighborhood before we tried Kayrouz. It was a “oh we should go there sometime” thing. I finally insisted we make a point to after I saw an article regarding their accommodations to customers during covid and the fact that they posted an announcement on the door reassuring patrons that their staff was vaccinated. My family has been super cautious as I was pregnant all of 2021 and we have a toddler. We dined outside a few times over the late summer and service was top notch. The food is excellent and consistent each and every time we eat there. There are a lot of comments here on the fries and normally I wouldn’t really care enough to call out French fries but they truly are damn good. Additionally since the covid numbers have started to climb and then subsequently surged, Kayrouz hasn’t wavered in ensuring customers are comfortable. For customers who have reverted back away from in person dining they have continued to take phone orders and offer curbside in a time where most restaurants have stopped offering this and, frankly, seem annoyed when you ask. My family is grateful for this convenience and has created a loyalty. Again, the food is so good, but this review’s mainly about their service. It’s a win win as a diner.

Ordered the club sandwich with fries, it was excellent! Fries were nice and crispy and the sandwich was made with super fresh ingredients. Highly recommend 👌

Our 1st time there..the food & service was amazing! Maddie was the waitress she did an fabulous job! The Cajun aioli was the best I ever had & the fries...OMG!!! My husband had the B-Nally, he ate everything on his plate..we definitely will be back

Everything was great. My only slightcomplaint is how salty some of the food was. Especially the Housemade Potato Chips. I didn’t get it myself, but I am told that they have one of the better hot browns in Louisville.

The food is phenomenal! The crabby burger is a gourmet burger... absolutely the best! I've had this burger 3 times and every time it is cooked to perfection. I've had the hot brown every other time.😊 This hot brown will make you a fan of this Louisville tradition and you will want to treat all of your out of town guests to this culinary delight. The servers were friendly and efficient. I've sat outside under the umbrellas... very relaxing. I've sat inside the front dining room... very cozy and comfortable. I've had several groups of 8 and 10 friends and family in the back dining room... perfect for intimate get togethers, small groups and parties. The hummus is made fresh, oh I could go on and on.

The sandwiches here are fantastic. I didn't get a tea but everyone else was drinking one so I'll have to next time!

This is a very good lunch time choice for soups and sandwiches along with service. Waits can get longer in the evenings. There are always specials on the board and there are also some menu specialties; try the burger with lump crab. I recommend the Grilled Roast beef sandwich with the Au Jus. Consider any of their soups. People are always nice.

Loved my pesto salad with chicken. It was supposed to be romaine and spinach but they were out of spinach so all romaine was ok.

New to the area, first time there. Tuna melt was amazing and best fries ever. Maddie made the whole experience even better with her charm. I will def be making this a regular go to of mine.

The Kayrouz Cafe reuben sandwich was recommended by someone on Facebook, so I was wondering if it was as delicious as it looked. The service and atmosphere were pleasant. My reuben sandwich and sweet potato fries were delicious 😋 While visiting, the young man who assisted me suggested that I also try their Hot Brown. I most definitely will be back for the Hot Brown. Thank you

Good food & service was great.

Went w/family (including a 5 yr old & 12 yr old) while waiting for a family member to have surgery at Baptist East. My order-club sandwich -did not come out with the rest of the family’s dinner. I waited about 10 minutes and asked the waitress to check on it. Finally, everyone was through with their dinner, and we needed to get back to the hospital so I told the waitress to cancel it and we asked for the check. The cook comes out with the sandwich and makes an ugly scene saying I ordered it late and now I don’t want it? We all told him I ordered it with everyone else’s order. He kept ranting until another employee or manager made him go into the back room, where he then looked out of the food/pass window and called my daughter-in-law extremely fowl names in front of the children and the patrons!!! One of the people eating there said he was the owners son. It was an awful experience.

One of the best hidden restaurants in Louisville. Little bit of a small space but they also have seating in the back for big parties.

Just don’t gone way down hill! Much better places in Saint Matthews

Nice environment for quiet business lunch meeting. Only 8ish tables in main dining room, most customers 65+, so even fully packed, not to loud. My friend and I had Reubens, both were good 👍, fries 🍟 😋. Servers were prompt and helpful, parking is available near front entrance.

Not there for the food. Good place to people watch, and chill outside with friend's.

A really good place for lunch. The food and value is is well worth the visit.

I won't go there EVER anyplace that sells a $17 6 oz piece of fish tisk tisk 10 bux got a grill cheese? You'll lucky you're in business
