My wife and I went there for our anniversary. The service was great. The food was out of this world! It is not something we could afford every day, but we will be back for special occasions. It was the best steak either of us had ever had. The side dishes, which we split were amazing also. The view of the Louisville skyline was gorgeous! Our dessert was amazing too as well. We got bread pudding and cheesecake. The building is on the 16th floor of a Frank Lloyd Wright style architecture building.

Our server and the staff were excellent. The food was phenomenal. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary and they placed fresh rose petals on the table. We shared the tomahawk steak which was awesome. Highly recommend it. From my experience, plan on making your reservation about 2 maybe 3 weeks in advance.

If I could add more stars I would!!! Our server Rebecca was amazing. Very informative about the menu. The view was excellent and my husband and I enjoyed being with each other in the moment. The food was delicious with every bite. They heat the plates to 500 degrees to keep it hot through the whole meal. I felt like a Queen and I appreciated my King spoiling me with whatever I wanted. The menu had excellent selections. I could go on and on… BRAVO!!!!

Did covid 19 ruin Ruth's? With staffing shortages and supply chain problems it's no wonder even one of the greats gets taken down a notch. My steak was sub par. The temperature was spot on but the quality of the steak I've grown to love about this restaurant was just not there. The sides were lacking flavor. It's the first time I've had to season then myself. I'll probably have to mark this great American chain off my list. It's really a shame.

Waited in the crowded lobby about half an hour after our reservation time. For our trouble, we were told an appetizer would be comped, but it was not. My steak was unevenly cooked. This place used to be decent, but there are far better steakhouses in the Louisville area. BTW, I outlined these issues when Ruth's Chris emailed me a survey regarding my visit, and nobody ever followed up to try to make things right. Sad!

It was wonderful. Forgot to take pictures of our food. From appetizer to dessert was delicious. Our waiters were fantastic. Overall meal was well worth it. Appetizer was crab cakes...to die for..omg..Main entree, I had the Ruth Classic prefix meal. 6 ounce filet with 3 large shrimp. I substituted my side for sweet potato casserole which was also to die for. For dessert I chose the chocolate sin cake and it was definitely sinful on the sugar and calorie intake but oh so yummy!

Great experience! Loved the food & the service was outstanding! The waitress we had was so nice & she just did everything right! I can't say one bad thing about our experience! This was our 1st time here, we have heard great things about Ruth's Chris for years & I was happy to go there. It was great & I would definitely recommend 🥖🦞🍸😁

Rooftop Ruth! If you want a great dining experience with a view and great food and drinks, visit this Ruth Chris Steakhouse in Louisville. The building doesn’t look like it has a RC in it, but you go up to the 16th floor and you will be in for a treat! And did I mention the view, it is perfection! Check it out and thank me later!😎

Food and service was amazing. Management has failed miserably with maintaining the property. The restrooms are nasty, there is no reason a place that has such high prices can't afford to maintain a restroom. There is mold growing on the floor and that is not healthy for a restaurant. Every server that uses the restroom walks into the kitchen and could spread the mold where the food is prepared.

It's been 15 years since my last visit here and I was signing disappointed in their food and service compared to the past. I ordered a steak and it was super bland with no flavor and the texture was tough in comparison to even the same store bought steak and it being cooked med-rare. It was a very late night weekend reservation so the dinner rush was slowing down. For the price you pay I do expect wait staff to be on top of their tables in regard to taking plates away, refilling drinks, etc (the time for food to come out is solely the kitchen's responsibility usually). We waited with empty drinks (coke and wine) twice and plates sat piled up on the table. When asked to take home the leftovers from the very large steak and some sides which I had kept purposely separated they were dumped one on top of the other scraped into one box. Literally dumped in the box right at my table, which actually surprised me. I worked as a waitress for six years at Louisville Country Club and I know what standards are expected with fine dining regarding care and quality. I'm not sure if this person was new or what but when you pay obscene prices for food you can get at 1/2 the price from a local butcher you are paying for atmosphere, service and food preparation. All was lacking except for atmosphere. I won't be back for a while but when I do, I hope I'll be able to change my review to five stars or I'll never go back. They have the best view but there are several more five star steakhouses in the area.

Service was impeccable! Our server, Chelsea, was very attentive and nice. It was our 19th wedding anniversary and they had heart confetti on our table, which was a very nice touch. The bone-in NY strip was cooked to perfection and the osso buco ravioli and crème brûlée were just as amazing. They even wrote happy 19th anniversary on our plate, took a photo and put it in a card for us. We expected the food to be top notch, but it was the service and extra touches that really did it for us. Thank you for a memorable meal and making our anniversary that much better!

To ensure the best service, I highly reccomend reserving a table ahead of time on the open table app. I was able to let the restaurant know we were celebrating my husbands birthday, and dietary restrictions prior to arrival. He was not expecting the host staff, servers, and management to wish him bappy birthday. There were many celebrating birthday's and anniversaries, but we did not feel neglected. I've been to a few steakhouses around town, but this one had the best atmosphere and most attentive staff. The food was very good, and cooked perfectly. I highly recommend the blackberry cocktail and the crab stuffed mushrooms. Our steaks were seasoned and seared to perfection.

Wait staff was great. And that was the best part about our meal Steak was ordered mid rare, arrived quite rare but i like it that way so not a huge loss. For the price there should be nothing less than perfect temperature from the kitchen. That right off the broiler method for steak is great but the only thing "fine dining" is the price here. The only thing separating Ruth's from roadhouse or longhorn is the cost of the meal and the unenforced dress code. You definitely get the chain restaurant vibes once you dive into the sides (pasty thick mashed potatoes swimming in butter) and the salad and lack of plating for a "fine dining" atmosphere. Was really disappointed it was just a steak on a oily hot plate as some other finer steakhouses do a bit better. The building is definitely dated, it was built in 1966 and smells and looks like it. The parking lot and the entrance is very odd as they face away from each other. The restaurant feels huge with the 360° windows. Did not use valet so cant rate that.

My goodness! It was all the hype and more guys! The ribeye steak was amazing!! Thee best steak I've ever had. We also had the lobster mac & cheese and roasted brussel sprouts. You might think, Brussel sprouts? But these were the best brussel sprouts (made with bacon and honey butter). Not to mention the EXPERIENCE! our server Tim was amazing. He took pictures for us and since it was our first visit he made sure to explain everything to us. Everyone from the restaurant told us happy anniversary and they placed rose petals on our table. No complaints here. Worth the money (oh yeah the price is $$$$).

We went to celebrate our anniversary. The atmosphere was great for the occasion. The service was top notch. It was expensive, but we already knew it would be so it wasn't a surprise. We ordered our steaks well done for dietary reasons and my steak was excellent. It was not dry and very flavorful. The salad was the best Cesar salad I have ever had.

Fantastic service, friendly and professional environment, and a very tasty menu! I still feel it's a bit overpriced but overall experience and the quality of the food is without a doubt on point! I much appreciate our server and the manager on duty! Definitely made the event I was there for worthwhile and went above and beyond!

No matter which location, we've never had a bad experience at Ruth's Chris. Our waiter was phenomenal, especially with recommending the BBQ shrimp appetizer...outstanding! The view was gorgeous!

Service was 2/5 but overall experience and food 5/5 Party of 7 (4 adults, 3 children) for a surprise birthday - took over 2 hours after being seated to be served dinner and items were still forgotten about. No water was brought to the table, bread crumbs were never scooped off like we typically experience with our dining here, service was a bit slow, we ended up being the last table left in our section, and we came earlier than the others around us .. sounds horrible, BUT the staff and manager were attentive after we let them know about the wait time. Management went and checked with the kitchen multiple times, additional wait staff came to check on us periodically. The food that came out was cooked to perfection! We were comped a good portion of our bill and left with free desserts for the entire table to take home. The manager really did go above and beyond and rectified the situation I felt was fair. Granted, out 7:30 reservation had us finishing dinner around 10:50 - but overall, I was happy with the experience. It was a one off for us, things happen, we’re all human, I’d highly recommend and will be going back.

Ruth Chris Steakhouse is a great place for dining and celebrating. There's an awesome view of the city from the terrace. The food is served hot. The sweet potato casserole was delicious. If you are a seafood lover the shrimp is the best.

As you can imagine going to a high end steakhouse you would expect an excellent meal and service and Ruth’s Chris did not disappoint. The steaks were excellent prepared perfectly and the sides were done well also. So if you want a place to take someone on a special occasion then this location will serve you well.

For our 8th wedding anniversary, we decided to go to Ruth's Chris steak house. It did not disappoint, we booked for the reservation online. The service was excellent, it's a very popular restaurant, it took a while for us to get the food but it's understandable. The portions were huge, we shared everything from starters to desserts. Everything tasted amazing, the calamari was so tender. They served our Cowboy ribeye steak on a sizzling 500-degrees plates, we ordered medium and it came at exact medium temp. The lobster mac and cheese was amazingly good. I could never eat too much at a restaurant so I'm the kinda person who always ask for a to-go box. I kept the leftover steak in the fridge for 2 days and heated it on the stove, and it was still amazingly tender, which was quite shocking, I was very impressed!!! The only small disappointment was the crème brûlée, it was not as I expected but I am still giving this place a 5-star because this is a steak restaurant so I'm not gonna judge for the dessert. And they also took our picture and gave us the printed picture as a gift, I thought that was very thoughtful of them. Recommended for a any occasion or if you could afford a great steak at this price regularly.

Had a delicious dinner last night, but the best part of our dining experience was our server Chris. He made our meal that much better with his excellent service. If you visit this Ruth Chris do yourself a favor and request Chris to be your server. You will not be disappointed.

Overall, the food was good, just not amazing. I would definitely go back again, but if I'm going to spend that kind of money, I want something I can't get at every steakhouse. And honestly, the steak was just ok. Their wine selection was just ok, so we went with the basics of Caymus and Silver Oak. Always good choices, but not over the top like we were looking for at this business dinner. The bread pudding was good but a little overcooked in certain bites.

We had a server named Brandi. Brandi, did an amazing job and she was working by herself when it was extremely busy! She didn't let that bother her as she continued to push through with amazing service. The food that I got was garlic crusted sea bass with a side of Brussels Sprouse and calamari for an appetizer. Sea bass was something I feel I could have made at home along with the Brussel sprouts but the calamari was good. Beautiful place overall! Give Brandi a raise for how hard she worked yesterday BTW!
