Tasty food and a good price. The catfish platter was solid and plentiful, and the slaw and fries were especially delicious. Some review complained of cleanliness, but I loved the laidback and unique vibe. Enjoy some good country food for lunch or dinner here.

The food was delicious, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the service was fast. I couldn't have been happier with my clam strips dinner to-go, which came with condiments thoughtfully packed. I would also recommend their beignets, available all day!

Came here on a whim after Rick's White Light Dinner was closed because of construction and I'm glad I did. Scrod & Shrimp dinner plate was great and hit the spot. The steamed shrimp with butter and seasoning was amazing. Really enjoyed the hush puppies as well; they were both sweet and savory. Even better than the food was the customer service: Friendly, hospitable and the gentleman threw in some extra fried shrimp for us to try.

First time visiting from Michigan and I’ll definitely be back. The fried catfish was so delicious. 😋 It was so good. I enjoyed the fried mushrooms and green beans as well. My boyfriend loved his food as well. Friendly staff and good service. I have no complaints!!!

Never even knew this was here! So far, a favorite now. Service was great, the owner is sweet and attentive. All around 10 out of 10. Serving sizes are huge! Come hungry.

The food is served fresh with ample portions. The fries were my favorite item. They are perfectly seasoned. The fish is good, but I prefer a more flavorful batter. (I'm a tough critic with fried catfish. It is my most favorite comfort food as it reminds me of my Grandma.) I really liked the beignets. (They were a random, delicious dessert.)

Loved the Fish House. Homemade hand breaded fish- can’t beat it. Gentleman working the register was kind as well.

If I could give them a 10 I would. First off let me say this is the only restaurant that I know of in America that had Gluten Free fish and chips!!!!! Not to mention hush puppies and more. While it may the only it would have been the best regardless. This place is legit. Well worth the drive from Atlanta to enjoy this. They have dedicated fryers and very knowledgeable about gluten free. Sorry about the photo I was digging in before I remembered to take one.

This is one of the best, most underrated treasures of louisville. The food is always fresh, delicious and you never have to wait long. The owner is kind and appreciative of his staff and customers.

Food was delicious , fresh and served hot. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The parking can be tricky when busy but this place is definitely worth a visit. We got catfish sandwiches with Mac and Cheese, Fries and Potato Cakes. Everything was seasoned great and full of flavor. Food came out so hot we had to wait a couple minutes to dive in which is somebody I’ll never complain about lol. She tried the jalapeño tartar. It looks weird but she said it tasted good but couldn’t really taste the jalapeño. We also got some beignets and they were good and fresh as well. I will definitely return and try other items

So disappointed. I spent twenty three for the seafood combo. Did not receive the hush puppies I paid for. To top it off - the fries I substituted for Mac and cheese - came to me anyway - no Mac and cheese either. And finally. For that much - I should get more that two shrimp. The one thing they got right was no oysters substitute clams. This hasn't been the case before. Always correct. But the poor gentleman can't run the counter and do quality control! I heard older lady even read the ticket out loud! She even said hush puppies. But alas.

First time here, and it was absolutely amazing. Simple menu that's easy to read and has a wide variety. The catfish was absolutely perfect, the onion rings I could have ate from open to close - they're so good! Homemade mac and cheese was super as well. The restaurant is clean and the staff were extremely nice and inviting. Mike Lennigs doesn't hold a candle to The Fish House.

Loved this casual restaurant with delicious food. We shared the pound of white fish and enjoyed loads of sides. Beer and seltzers are available. Don’t forget dessert!

This one is an oldie but goodie! What a wonderful treat to sit in a restaurant that cares about the overall experience. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. All the condiments were clean and available. The sweet tea didn't stop....it was fresh brewed!

love the omelettes! my only regret is the fact that everything is served on styrofoam... whether youre eating in or taking out. maybe paper would be something to consider? the food is delicious, tho! lol ❤️

We are from central Indiana and came here specifically for two restaurants that had a great gluten free menu. This place did not disappoint! I get severe migraines if I eat anything with gluten and I had no migraine, win! The gentleman that took our order reassured me that they make their sauces there and they were gluten free. He also told me that they hand bread everything and that is how he knew that it was also gluten free. That reassurance was not something I get very often. I had fried shrimp and fried mushrooms!!!!!! They were delicious! The lady that brought out our food was careful not to touch my gluten free plated food with the same gloved hand that she touched my husband's non-gluten free food plate with.

The food was soooo delicious. It was my 1st visit but will definitely not be the last. Everything was excellent, including the chocolate peanut butter cake. I would give 10 stars if it were an option.

After ordering our food I asked, "So how does this work? Do we wait here for the food or take a number, or...?" The man working the counter replied, "Oh, you're not a number here." And that quip set the tone for an excellent lunch. The seafood was perfectly cooked and well-seasoned. Literally everything we ordered was fried but not one bite was heavy or greasy. I really loved the casual dining style, too. Go here! Get the shrimp!

The catfish, fries, hush puppies, and fried mushrooms were all so satisfying! The crunch, flavor, portions and everything were on point. But those beignets everyone raves about were not present yesterday, not in our order at least. These were dry, hollow and just plain tough to get through. I only finished one. Hopefully, this was a one off experience. Beignets is one of the items The Fish House is known for though. Overall, I’d go back but not for the beignets.

First time ever eating here and we will be coming back! Friendly staff, great selection of fish and seafood. I was really amazed how my Haddock fish sandwich was larger than my plate! Cole slaw, and French Fries was awesome. If you love fresh fish and seafood, you need to visit The Fish House.. #1 in my book

Tried the lobster roll, frys, and a coke. Now, the roll was nothing special, but I found the frys pretty good with the seasoning. Coworker had the green river style cod. All and all it's not bad but nothing to highly recommend. Friendly service.

If you are gluten-free and miss fried fish, this is the place to visit! Most of their menu can be prepared gluten free, including hush puppies and fried mushrooms. I had the haddock dinner and it was fantastic! The fish was fresh and tender. The portions are large, with plenty leftover to take home if preferred. The diner is small and parking can be tricky if visiting at a busy time of day. They do offer an outdoor dining option. All of the staff were friendly and personable. I'll be visiting again when that fish craving hits!
