Used this place a few years ago and it was so-so, but now it appears to be under new management. We travelled across Luton to get breakfast here especially the omelettes - AWESOME. The reason we don't use this place all the time is the coffee is a bit meh. EDIT: We went back the next week and I have found a better coffee so the coffee comment is resolved.YAY. BUT I had a cheese omelette again and it had no cheese flavour at all. The meal was very good again but I am sure the omelette was plain and not cheese. I should add that I am almost blind and work on flavour only and am not concerned as to how the meal looks (my partner said it looked great). We were very disappointed and will leave it a few week before returning.

Busy cafe, with fair prices and polite staff. Always great for a cooked breakfast. The only downside is there isn't any parking.

Been here on a regular basis - food is always great, staff are super friendly and helpful. I do enjoy coming here - would absolutely recommend you try it out - you will enjoy the food!

Been in Luton last 3 days and gone here for breakfast every morning. Lovely food spotlessly clean and great value for your money but if it’s 1 thing that really makes this place brilliant it’s beautiful friendly staff. Well done

Visited with my wife. Food was tasty, although small portions and the staff were nice. Fast service. The toilet is outside and the place wasn’t warm enough. I ordered Turkish Breakfast and chicken kebab which for some reason weren’t on the menu. The bill was £24.90; we didn’t have any drinks. I won’t be eating there again.

Absolutely brilliant. I loved it. I think its my 4th visit now. I'm always hungry after cycling and i have the "Hardware Special " I'm from Aylesbury. I mentioned the cafe on my cycle touring group.

Stopped here prior to arriving at Luton Airport, only 5minute drive to airport. Great selection of food, staff were very good and pampered to our requests, excellent value (under £18) for our 2 breakfasts and drinks👍👍. Not the greatest setting but parked in Matalan car park and walked round the corner. Used the facilities before departing and was surprised to find that they were outside, just be aware as you could get damp if it is raining when you visit!😉

been around the neighbourhood looking for a milkshake,found none. just thought to pop in and ask. they made the best milkshake I ve ever had, even added coffee to it 👌🏽 staff super friendly, loads of smiles at the tables 12/10 highly recommended

In Luton for a night and went in here for breakfast this morning. Very impressed, there is no table service so you order at the counter before you sit. Food was great and service was quick. Would recommend.

Reasonable price, Full English for £8.90. Bit heavy on oil(although i love oil rich food). Super tasty!!!! No compromises there. Staff is polite and professional. One of the best breakfast cafe if not the best.

Visited yesterday chose Set breakfast 2. It was excellent in all respects -quality, taste and value. The service was excellent too and staff are friendly and enthusiastic, Will be back soon!

This is probably THE best breakfast cafe I have ever eaten in bar none! the food is beautifuly presented well cooked and very tasty, the cafe is spotlessly clean and the staff are really friendly the prices are very competitive as well,that is why I give it 5 stars!

It's a very pleasant place where you can eat good food at a reasonable price. The staff is a 10. Smiling girls, willing to serve you in the most professional way. The atmosphere is warm and I will definitely come back. You girls are doing a very good job. Congratulations to the chef for the extraordinary food.

Best place to eat is the Luton area! Tables with chairs, lots of space, competitive prices, manu choice is huge! It's so big that it doesn't fit whole wall! Don't look for it just ask crew! Everything imagined, chicken kiev, chilli con carne, jack potatoes ( I love jack potatoes, always take one or breakfast) smoothies, even glass of almond milk... love this place, the only odd think is the sausage here , on pictures it looks big ( like typical sausage) but on plate you get really small ones, size of ... thumb ( my thumb ) but I would not cut star off as I spoke to owner and he proved that theese sausages are best in the market ... anyway just go there👍

We're looking for the best breakfast in Luton. My mate and I think Hardware Cafe is the (after visiting a number) best so far for value, great cooking and great ingredients. The staff are really, really friendly and there is a cheap carpark across the road.

Best breakfast in Luton, they recently change owners, I hace been many years visiting this place and never been better. Great food fresh and clean. Quality of fresh food even in busy times. Plate presentation are neat and properly prepared. Simply superb!!! Highly recommended.

I'd say that it's the best traditional cafe in Luton. I don't often visit establishments like the hardware cafe. I moved here in 2003 and it's always been here. It's probably been going longer. It's very spacious and never cramped. All the tables are decked in nice tablecloths and the atmosphere is chilled and welcoming. Can't fault their food either. Decent portion sizes and always tasty. You know you're in for a treat when you walk in.

I loved eating here. There was a real community feeling. The customer service was superb. Food was great at a good price. Oct 2022 update: Went in to Luton for a party but this had to be my first stop for breakfast and as always I was not disappointed.
