Difficult to get a table on the weekend without reservation - but the place is worth it for brunch! Escargots on the menu. Can recommend the chicken breast.

We had dinner there at the end of October and we enjoyed the food and atmosphere. However, the waitress was not very welcoming. It felt as if she had more important things to do and we were annoying her, judging by the facial expressions, of which we saw more than we wished.

The best octopus ever, fries are also proper French, chicken was ok. Desserts were excellent, especially tarte citron with basil.

Was very lucky to get the last table on a Saturday afternoon! Been living in Lyon for a few months and this would be one of the best restaurants I’ve been to! Good vibe, good staff and service, good music and most importantly for a resto, very exceptional food! Appreciate the lady that served us, without her recommendation our meal would have not been as enjoyable. Writing this review as my family and I found 4.4/5 was absolutely underrated.

Our sure bet. We live near by and we love it there. The food is super good, the waiters are always super nice and with a really good advice so we go really often.

Our first night in Lyon whilst staying here for a week. We wanted to get started with a good Brasserie and Sathonay did not disappoint. My wife had snails followed by Octopus and I had Veal followed by T-bone Pork. Everything was delicious and washed down by a lovely wine. The staff were all very helpful and communicative throughout. Recommend a visit and you will need to book in advance as we did as almost every table was reserved when we were there.

Classic French restaurant is a lively square in the 1st. We loved our time here, steak frites, deviled eggs, and burgundy by the glass. Quality service and a fun relaxed atmosphere.

Excellent cuisine with fresh products and friendly service.

We came here as a group of 4 hoping to enjoy an authentic French meal . Sadly it didn’t measure up. French fries were cold . Service was lacklustre. Meals were without any real flavour . Bread was not fresh . I don’t want to say too much as I don’t want to create too much offence

Nice and friendly service. Very welcoming! The octopus is very nice - soft and tender, the curry sauce goes well. The steak tartar is average but the chicken is quite disappointing and very dry. I will give 4 stars for this restaurant but the chicken is rather overcooked and not eatable.

Very pleasant experience: everything was nice about it. From the terrasse on Place Sathonay, to the exquisite and refined cuisine, to the esthetics (special font used for the restaurant name on menus, signs and plates), not to forget really friendly and knowledgeable staff (Laetitia in particular). Will go back!!

Stopped by for al fresco lunch and had a fab hake, perfectly cooked with crisp skin. Cost setting on the square, in the sun.
