Great Art Gallery. I missed out on visiting the Louvre in Paris, but I was blown away but the excellent curated and voluminous collection. Definitely top of the list of places to visit in Lyon

Nice place to vist! Restaurant pub and bar are really near by! And there is a fountain! That is quite artistic!

Stunning place I had a great visit, the pieces presented don’t have much space restriction so you can look the sculptures and painting really close! They give you a map and the rooms are numbered so you don’t get lost and it makes sure that you’ll see everything After entering, before getting into the museum itself there’s a cute little garden thing that’s is pretty atmospheric and relaxing with some sculptures sprinkled on it :)

This museum has a good selection of items split into 3 main areas: 1) sculptures, 2) artifacts (featuring many from Ancient Egypt / Greece / Roman Empire), and 3) artworks (from the usual abundance of Christianity works, to classical scenes and portraits including works by Claude Monet, to some more modern paintings). Takes about 2.5-3 hours to see everything at a wandering pace. Easy to navigate with free maps available. Only French information next to objects/paintings, though the titles are translated to English where applicable. €8 entry seemed reasonable to me. Café was expensive (€5 for a cappuccino or can of coke), but most cafés in Lyon are expensive. Free lockers available. I would recommend it to those that enjoy looking around museums/galleries, or if the weather is bad.

Great museum in Lyon. Not crowded and very inexpensive. Definitely recommend for anyone who loves art or wants a place to get out of the heat and to see some history.

Great museum with plenty of different things! - English audio guide was not fully covering the exhibition. - Few wrong English labels for art objects: "young girl with a Kid" instead of "young girl with a goat"

The museum is situated in the city center, in front is a big square with a beautiful fountain, the exhibition is composed by different sculptures, paintings, coins, and many artefacts. If you are interested of culture and history I will strongly recommend this place.

All historical figures available there.. painting during roman culture, Italian Egyptian and all famous Greek mythology painting and scruptures available there...best way to know ancient history of Romano Italian and Egyptian..very big and not very crowded... staffs are also very kind hearted..this meusem is too big.. it's take more than 3 hours to visit all the meusem..best part is lots of painting from ancient times available there and you can see every empire weapon coins and crown there . awesome place

The building is so unique. You will see a garden in the middle and when you came inside you might imagine that you back to the old era as it's maintained well and seems that they did minimum renovation to the building. Nice place to visit after you went to the square outside
