I don't know the name of my server, it was yesterday July 4th at dinner, we sat in the back of the restaurant near the entrance, the young man who served us, he spoke English with us, he was an excellent server! I really have to give him an applaud because he made an amazing experience even better. The food was so great, my compliments to the chief! Everything was perfect! Thank you! I will definitely come back!

Came here for lunch on a weekday and got the lunch 3-course set menu for 48 euros (excluding drinks). The food is good. Not the best we had for a Michelin-starred restaurant in Lyon but overall still a very solid experience given the lunch price and atmosphere. My favorite course was the appetizer which had chopped escargot and an egg yolk. Wasn’t a huge fan of the dessert which had some goat cheese foam (but that might just be a personal preference - I found the goat cheese flavor a little pungent for my taste). We reserved ahead of time so we had an amazing view of Lyon from our table. This restaurant seems pretty established here, with a big building on the hill on this old town side of Lyon. Would recommend coming here at least once if you’re in Lyon for the experience!

Came in with high expectations given that this is a 1* restaurant and they sadly were not met. Food was very average, with small portions and high prices. Starters were decent though the leeks were very difficult to eat, fish (entree) was bland and flavorless, rabbit was laughably small, and desserts were just ok. Timing of dishes was a mess - between courses we waited an hour, with no explanation. No dish stood out as being particularly memorable, which is a shame since we went out of our way to go here and expected a really great meal. Pretty ambiance with a nice view, but wouldn’t recommend it.

Review for the bistrot (since I can’t find it on gmaps it looks like the rooftop the bistrot and the restaurant are all under the same place.) The food was excellent. I did not expect that, as usually if it’s not the main restaurant it’s just OK. Especially the cutleries and tables/chairs felt a bit cheap. But the view is great, and the food was really good throughout the meal. I guess I’ll have to try the restaurant next time, but they seem to have annoying dress codes (which sounds like the vibe is probably stuck up)

Probably the worst dining experience I’ve had in a long time. Our group was so excited to try the restaurant, given the reputation of the chef and the amazing things that have been written about the food and service. Upon entering, we were lead to the table by the hostess who seemed like she’d rather be anywhere else at that moment. We sat down and were given these menus that look like they were created using WordArt. Seriously, the tackiest, most uninspired menu I’ve seen in a fine-dining place. We were offered the option to get menus in French or English. 5 minutes later, we received 2 French menus and two in English. 15 minutes passed by and we were still trying to get menus, or even water, that wasn’t offered to us when we sat down. Servers kept passing by us to go wait other tables and just left us waiting forever. We counted 4 servers going to the table next to us within 10 minutes, while we were left without even a proper greeting. When we finally managed to get one servers attention, the attitude was beyond awful. I said if everything was ok, because we had not been offered water, the correct menus, or any sort of contact. Her response was: “so you want water?” in the most condescending and rude tone. When we asked for the inspiration menu, which was 6 courses, she simply started telling them at a rapping speed, and when I asked to see it written down, the response was: I just told you the menu! This is a EUR136 menu that it wasn’t even available in a piece of paper so we could study and choose a wine pairing. When I finally confronted the management, their attitude was extremely nonchalant and unfriendly. They offered to print a menu just for us, as if that was the main issue, and not their treatment towards us. Bear in mind this is a Michelin starred restaurant that does not have a menu available for the guests. Not to mention that the inspiration menu was far from inspired, or that’s the impression we got from our server who seemed like she couldn’t wait to spit out all the words as fast as possible. We decided to leave without even ordering, because any sort of complaint was met with disrespect and disdain. This is nothing but a pretentious place that seems to no longer need to actually treat all their customers as a fine dining restaurant should, but rather rest on its past laurels and keep going by name alone.

The food and the view was good, but it did not matter when the service was really terrible. We came here to celebrate my husbands birthday and were already from the get go meeting a service that was not up to the standard you would expect from this type of restaurant. From the small stuff like forgetting to bring us the hand towels that the other table received, to the other tables dirty dishes being pilled up on two small tables right next to my husband, to them bringing us the wrong dessert. To be fair mistakes can happen, and after being to many Michelin restaurants around the world, we know that a mistake can occur. But what is not okay, and should not occur on any restaurants, is that when we pointed out that this was not the dessert from our chosen menu, they were not very apologetic and instead fully aware started preparing another wrong dessert (again not the one we had ordered). Again it can happen that you are out of the originally ordered dessert, but then you let your guests know that this is the case, and ask if you can bring them one of the other ones instead. Under no circumstances do you first serve them the wrong dessert and when they point out your mistake, then intentionally and fully aware starts to prepare another wrong dessert. And on top of this do not inform the guests about it, and only admit what you are doing when they find it out themselves. We really was in shock! And after that just wanted to leave before they bought us another wrong dessert! To top it all up when my husband, at the end before we left, mentioned to our head waiter that he did not find it pleasant to eat next to other peoples dirty dishes, and suggested that they maybe should consider another approach, or have them moved, he was only met with blame and arrogance from the waiter. In the end they deducted the two of the three desserts from our bill, but it did not matter anything the mood and the behaviour from our waiter left us feeling very sad, angry and frustrated. Needles to say we will not be coming back.

A fantastic dinning experience you get excellent food, service and views of Lyon. As soon as you step through the doors you get a warm welcome and the staff are all friendly and helpful throughout your stay. We had the 5 course surprise menu where they use ingredients available on the day with wine by the glass chosen by the sommelier. What a selection we had frog legs, turbot, deer and for dessert chocolate heaven. A really enjoyable night and one we shall remember for a long time.

This is absolutely the best restaurant I have ever been to in my entire life. The food was out of this world. Every single item was a work of art. I was blown away with the amount of food served and the high quality of everything we consumed. The service was excellent as well. The breathtaking view overlooking the city was incredibly stunning. I had the 3 course meal and my husband had the 5 course meal. He was glad he opted for the half lobster upgrade. We spent about 3 hours there in total. We would highly recommend going here!

Don't bother! Unless you speak French please don't bother with the restaurant. We had a lot of confusion over the lack of English menus and communication issues. The degustation menu was unexciting and most of the time too bland or too salty. Forget about the tables by the windows with the views because they are reserved 'months in advance' and there is no option to change to them later (due to some strict Michelin rules of no table changing after other guests have left). So spend your money elsewhere I'm sure you get better food and friendlier services. This place might be for some clientele but was a waste of money for me.

More than great food is perfect service! The staffs there are great! They did their best and always care about their customer. My boyfriend did not personally like the seafood and his entree has shrimp in it but the staff noticed it and offer him another entree. I would love to come back again!

This is important to know that at this location there are three places to eat: the Bistro, the rooftop and the main restaurant. You should know this when you book a table. The food on the Rooftop is good but the wine selection was even better! The view is amazing! The prices are affordable.

My husband and I came to celebrate our six year anniversary. The restaurant is beautiful and has a wonderful view of the city. We enjoyed the 6 course meal with wine pairings. It was very good. The only issue was that I bit into a piece of birdshot that was in the duck breast. When we brought it to the staff they whisked it away and no one said anything for 15-20 minutes. Luckily I didn’t bite too hard. When the staff member came back she told us it was a feather. It most certainly was not as it was metal. I wished this had been handled differently. We weren’t mad or upset just wanted it addressed so it didn’t happen to anyone else. Other than that we enjoyed ourselves and the food very much.

Beautiful view over the city of Lyon with a lovely outdoor terrace. Our table was in the middle of the pathway for the waitstaff, so we felt like we were in their way during the whole experience. We asked for recommendations and they didn't seem interested in interacting with us. We felt like we weren't an important table to them. That said the meal was delicious, and the food well executed. Everything was cooked beautifully, it was textbook perfection but didn't make you dream—there was nothing unexpected.

Well, we're just four more of the happy patrons here. Dinner in early August during the heat wave. We arrived after a bottle of champagne at the hotel and a 15-minute walk. My friend was wearing shorts. Great for the weather, but not good to eat in the dining room. Terrace eating different menu, so they gave him a pair of pants to wear. Shades of La Côte Basque in my 30s in New York, where they had ties and jackets for slobs like me who weren't dressed for lunch at the right level. The views are AMAZING. The service was professional, competent but not attentive. We had two bottles of burgundies along with after dinner drinks. Of course, we needed a taxi to get back to the hotel. It was dark, uphill for a mile and we had been drinking for four hours. They literally told us to go out to the terrace to drink since they wanted to clean the dining room and set up for tomorrow. We ate our deserts there and enjoyed the view. Starred restaurants in France have changed with the food. When I started to eat at three-star restaurants in the 1980s, you had the table for arrival at any time and you ate till you wanted to leave. Usually, four to five hours. Today, you're done when they're done. Anyway, it was a totally enjoyable meal. Delicious, artful and entertaining with the views. It was clearly worth the 600 euros for four.

We came for lunch at Bistrot Tetedoie and were very impressed. The 3 course meal (set menu with options) offered was very good and great portions for France. Although your dollar may go further at another restaurant, the stunning views of Lyon are priceless. The wait staff was as friendly as you can ask, busy and efficient. Our drinks (Aperol Spritz and Beer) were good as well.

An amazing lunch, we ordered a la carte. The cheese cart was to die for. The pics speak for themselves. In a city famous for its food, it's a great restaurant.

So, we had lunch here after a recommendation from our hotel. This is a Michelin rated restaurant. We had a good experience, esp with the location and the view of Lyon. Nice seating and lighting. Food (set menu) was reasonable and well presented, although the service was not as we had expected. The price was on the high end, but we did enjoy the nice space

Our visit to the Bistro could not have been worse, the staff and food included. If zero stars was an available rating we would not have given it even one. This is a poorly trained staff and management. Dry wine, specifically not sweet was ordered. Sweet white was delivered. The manager should have intervened at that moment, it didn’t happen. The lamb was tough, some parts inedible. The chicken was over cooked. To make matters worse the incompetent waitress cleared the wine when it still had liquid inside. Later, unprofessionally, she scraped the dishes in front of us. We anticipated more from a highly rated Lyon chef. The website was not specific which restaurant we had chosen, we thought we had reserved upstairs and were told the reservations were for the bistro and the upstairs was booked. Quelle disappointment,

A truly incredible meal with an incredible view. My wife and I went here for dinner and chose the seasonal tasting menu and from start to finish it was incredible. Creative amuse bouches, perfect cooked white asparagus. tender melt in your mouth sardines and of course the signature HTV which was worth the up charge. On top of the food the staff was very attentive and friendly giving us great wine recommendations throughout the meal. We dined at a few Michelin star restaurants on our trip, including a 3 star and this was by far the best meal we had

Loved our meal here. Amazing view and great food. Loved the Monkfish and the sausage. Dessert was good too. We had the paired wines which matched well and were delicious. Good value too. I’d come again.

The food is absolutely delicious and the views are very nice. The veloutè was the best I ever had, highly reccomend!! Overall it is a place I would definitely visit again. My only two notes: they need a menu in English and at least one English speaking server, the other thing that could be improved are the desserts, compared to the rest of the food the desserts were not as good!
