Can't say anything wrong, the experience was magnificent, worth the Michelin star. We ordered the "discovery menu" and the flavor were simply amazing. If you ask me in particular for a specific course that I particularly loved, it was the cream of truffles with salmon. I'll forever dream with that flavor. Service and the ambience was on top too. At the end of the meal we were able to meet the chef, indeed we mentioned him that we enjoyed the meal.

Great experience. Excellent food. Good service. A party of three and we all thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Good wine list and a helpful sommelier. Highly recommended worth a visit.

Fantastic. This was the best meal I had in Lyon and outstanding dishes were the scallops starters and sea bass main dish from the 8-course menu. They even give you a ginger cake slice to takeaway “for breakfast”. Bread they serve was incredibly soft and pillowy that they bake themselves. The dishes here each have very strong flavours though I mean that in a good way as they come together well (eg - if it’s a citrus dish, it will be strong in that sense)! Definitely recommend this place!

I found the entire experience too programmed and formulated. Solidly good food. Does it deserve a Michelin star? I respectfully beg to differ. It was seriously disappointing, to say the least! Neither the staff or chef tried to accommodate their guests. If you told the sever that you are lactose-intolerant, why would they still serve you heavily creamy starter and two rounds of yogurt for pre-desert and desert! Was there any communication between the server and kitchen? This is no way the standard of a fine dining restaurant. Let alone one Michelin-starred establishment. Besides that, the first starter (eggplant) was too salty. And the second starter (langoustine with carrot sauce) was too sweet. And the main (veal) was nothing to brag about! Nothing impressive. Would I recommend this restaurant to my friends and people I know? No, I would not.

Took the 70euro discover menu and was very pleasantly surprised with the starters, the quality of the home made bread, the seafood (fish steak and scallops), and the predessert and dessert. The servers were clear in explaining the dishes and yet light hearted in attitude to provide a relaxing atmosphere. The mise en bouche was a true explosions of smooth tasty fat in the mouth. Not able to describe all the fishes but will definitely return to taste more of Bernard Marillers créations.

Amazing food and service. We did the tasting menu, and my personal highlight was the pigeon - I highly recommend this dish! The flavors and textures of every dish were so thoughtful. We were fortunate enough to meet the chef at the end of the meal to lavish him with our praise. What a great meal.

I had the pleasure of dining at le gourmet de séze and it was truly an exceptional experience. The ambiance was intimate, with elegant decor and small table groupings. The service was top-notch, with attentive staff. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and able to assist us in selecting the perfect wines to pair with our meal. The menu was full of mouthwatering options, and I was impressed by the range of dishes available. We each selected a preset menu. I can honestly say the dishes were outstanding. The flavors were rich and complex, and the presentation was beautiful. Unfortunately, I speak no French but my inability to communicate in the language was not a barrier to an amazing meal. The staff were more than able to explain each dish. We made our reservation online and reviewed the electronic menus before arriving. We had no dietary or allergy restrictions. Overall, I would highly recommend le gourmet de séze to anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience. The food, service, and atmosphere were all exceptional.

Fine dining indeed. After a few days of bouchon dining this was a very pleasant change. This was everything I was hoping for and expecting from a 1 star Michelin restaurant. Not much English spoken but banquet menus don't need much discussing!

Celebrating my b’day Saturday night at le gourmet de Sèze. Beautiful place, first class food (menu signature), and lovely service. You won’t be disappointed at all. We had a lively discussion with the sommelier on the Chartreuse – don’t miss the 3l bottle experience as a “digeo”. We had the pleasant surprise to see the chef going from table to table. Don’t miss the restaurant if you are visiting Lyon!

Michelin Star restaurant, Had the Chef's tasting menu. Each dish was fabulous. 10 course meal. They suggested what wine would go with the meal. We had Red and White which was great. Service was excellent. They explained each dish. Even gave us desert cake to take with us.

Excellent service. Fantastic wine chosen for us. Langoustines were the highlight of the night. The mains were good without wowing us but the desserts were excellent. Nice touch to give us a lemon cake slice to take away. Definitely value for money.

After a long 10-day hike in Switzerland, I didn't have any nice clothes but still wanted to experience a Michelin-starred restaurant in Lyon. I came here to enjoy their lunch, and was simply blown away at how good everything was. Not surprised, mind you, but impressed. The presentation was beautiful, the flavors complex, and the service impeccable. I felt a little out of place in such a lovely restaurant with my casual clothes, but at $50 euros for lunch and a glass of wine, it was an experience not to be missed.

Delicious food although the restaurant lacks charm.
