Excellent experience. It's a set menu and food is very well thought of and creative. The owner is rhe chef and he's the one who serves as well. He explains all the dishes while serving. Location us very unusual for a restaurant in the 2nd floor. Place is tiny with only 6 tables, so make sure to make a booking in advance.

Nice view over the place des terreaux (ask for the window tables!). Small and nice restaurant with authentic and creative food. Friendly staff and reasonable price. I was expecting a noisy place but not at all. Perfect for a romantic dinner in the city.

A unique gem, thanks largely to the legendary service of Jean-Claude. Bring your best table manners and be ready for an unforgettable, multi-course, French dinner

Superb restaurant! We got the lobster caviar tasting menu for $100 and everybody loved it. IMO deserves at least two Michelin stars.

One of our favorite restaurants in Lyon ! Love the creativity of the chef! The ambiance is beautiful and the view of the fountain /square is breathtaking! We have the chance to talk with the chef and he told us the history of the building and how he started this restaurant mades the dinning experience even more magical! Will definitely go back again to visit him the next time we come to Lyon!

Such a cool place! Through a rough looking door and up a rough looking stairwell to a lovely dining room. The food is inventive and prepared with thought and care. The owner is wonderful and full of interesting information. The price is extremely reasonable considering the ingredients and skill of cooking. This place should be busy every day!

I booked for lunch on 29th Aug 2023 at this restaurant. The restaurant is on the 3rd floor and the building is a few steps from the Hotel de Ville. I wanted to give myself a reward, so I chose the set menu of 4 plats, 2 desserts. The first dish was carvier and halibut fish in a black sauce. I liked that fish was tender and juicy. The 2nd dish was lobster in a soup that smell like dashi (japanese soup). The 3rd and 4 dish were also lobster (lobster & risotto, lobster and mushrooms) I ended my lunch with strawberry parfait and blackcurrant. The chef explained about the materials and on how to eat every dishes. He was so friendly, introduced me where I should visit in Lyon!! I could tell that he loves his job. It was a good lunch that I will miss. Thks!!

What an amazing place! The chef is passionate and friendly: we loved that he came to every table to talk and to show his ingredients. We fully recommend to go with the full menu; it's definitely worth it. I have a gluten intolerance and the chef was able to cater to my needs safely. Lovely wines as well. If there is one restaurant that you have to try in Lyon, it is this one!

Excellent restaurant where the chef uses rare ingredients and walks you through the cooking process and history of the surroundings. This restaurant is run by only 2 persons making the experience welcoming and attentive. The cuisine uses interesting combinations and textures. We were a table of 8 persons and had a fantastic time.

The place is sooo romantic. The dishes were great. Pure lyonese gastronomy. The owner was serving the dishes. He explained every dish with such a passion that you directly fall in love with it. It was a magical night.

Wonderful meal at L’etage. Very small space and staff, and the chef takes the time to introduce himself and each course. Food was artfully prepared and presented, and was excellent. Would gladly return on our next trip to Lyon.

We enjoyed our dinner in this small restaurant with 6 tables. The waiter was very nice telling us the history of the restaurant and the square it was located. The dishes are delicate with subtle yet nice flavor. We wish the chef put just a little salt on the fish and veal, then the dinner would have been perfect. Still we love the restaurant and would come ack if we were in Lyon again.
