About 15 minutes maximum walk from Lyon Part Dieu Rail/Train station, from outside it's Ibis Kitchen Hotel, on the main road but entrance from the side street as the postal address, this Ibis is lovely. Pleasant staff, quick and easy check-in if pre-booked. My room was on 9th floor which had nice view opposite a very tall building across the hotel window. Rooms are typically designed well maintained and generally clean, no problems there. Hotel has its restaurant but behind the hotels many eateries, shop to buy cheap beers, lagers, fruit and a nice falafal place for a take away meal in addition to traditional french bistros, ristorante added a value to the stay as it's within 2 minutes walking distance which means no taxis or public transport required even if you get late.

Room was not massive for a twin room, but about enough. WiFi good. AC plenty cool enough. Short walk from train station, so decent location. Shower glass had a hole instead of a doorknob, meaning water sprayed out onto the floor. Breakfast was good - buffet style but with hot food too - eggs, sausages, pastries, and fruit among other things.

Very small room, was very difficult to walk and to keep bag opened. No fridge inside room, no drinkable water, no strongbox, no wardrobe!!! The toilet had a window that cannot be opened! All this for 115 euros per night + 20 euros per night for parking. The girl at reception was very kind

amazing location that we could walk through the whole travel, reasonable price with very helpful staffs! Upon our check-out, there was one lady helped us to pick our luggage around 5pm, she kindly recommended to go to bathroom before our long trip back to our city. Thank you for the amazing stay!

Yes, the rooms are small (and condensed), but well maintained and supported. To me the greatest experience was the staff, their support, their engagement (e.g. in the bar section) and helpfulness (in all the shifts). When the restaurant of the hotel was about to close, they gave suggestions for an alternative and it was a very good one. The hotel is only a km or so from the main train station (and the tram from the airport), and just a mile from the river. On the ground floor there are some game sections and it is a fun to watch the guests who play there. It was just a great experience (and overcomensated for the limitations of the room).

Standard Ibis near the station Part-Dieu. Same level of comfort and cleanliness that you would expect from other Ibis hotels. Room has parquet with some lose tiles that need repair. Breakfast is satisfactory, however, it is supposed to go until 10:00 but 09:30 they already stop replacing items.

Friendly staff. Standard (smallish) IBIS room. No airco on 3rd night even though outside temperature around 29 degrees Celsius; opening a window at night not an option because of the street noise level. Huge price difference between week-end and week days hard to justify.

This hotel was the worst experience in my life. The odor of cigarette smoke was everywhere in the room, and the aeration was very poor. We had a tough time to continue our stay and the staff was rude and did not offer a good solution. I don't recommend staying in this hotel. Please don't waste your money.

Small rooms as usual, but that's what you get in a budget hotel. Breakfast is really good, nice staff, good location

Very good location, near 2 minutes walk to bus and tram. Clean room and welcoming staff. I will visit again when I come back Lyon

Decent price if you book in advance, location is good but is tricky getting into, the premise isn’t really luggage-friendly, rocky terrain, the smell of the lobby is like a dusty antique shop, check-in is fast and easy, room window opens wide for fresh air, nice view, working table and water boiler, restroom is a bit small.

We arrived at check-in around midnight and were told that hotel was overbooked and we would be sent to another hotel that was about 20 min drive out of Lyon but not to worry as they would cover the cost of the taxi. Took about an hour to get to the 2nd hotel after waiting for a taxi, 2nd day when we were meant to check back into our initial hotel there were no taxis available and i had to book and pay for an uber myself to get back and again wasted an entire morning doing so. To top it all off i was told we would be refunded the 1st night's stay (after quite a bit of arguing) via booking.com but the hotel has since stopped replying to any communication and i am still chasing my refund a month after staying (or trying to stay) at this hotel.

The hotel is in a fairly good location, clean and tidy. Most of the employees treated us really well, except one of the guys at the reception. He saw me and my dad eating at the hall and said we are not allowed to eat there, although there were many tables there. The way he criticised us was unnecessary and rude, what ruined our experienc. I’ve never seen this scenario before: guests that are forbidden to use the hotel they paid for. CHANGE THAT POLICY!

Staff at reception is very nice and sympa. The atmosphere in the lounge seemed appealing. Room prices could be better but seems reasonable. I do not recommend, however, the breakfast: it is particularly expensive for what you can eat, nothing that special, and I was given several overly complicated instructions about individualised 1-dish 1-tongs (pinces) to deal with products, while every other hotel had already relaxed covid-19 to some reasonable levels of cleanliness and cross-contamination. There were NO specific gluten free options.

A fine Ibis location, centrally located and near the main train station in Lyon. If you are familiar with Ibis you will find this branch to meet your expectations. I do wish the AC was a bit stronger. The free pinball machine was fun though. If you are looking for a reliable budget hotel I would recommend.

Nice enough hotel for the price. The room was small, but good enough for the stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good location with easy transport links. Only annoyance was the lack of hand towels. Only bath towels and floor mat were in the room.

It's a nice Ibis hotel. Located in the business district of Lyon, close to the train station and the old city. Rooms are small, but comfortable according to Ibis standards. Friendly staff that will assist you with any questions you may have about the city. Excellent breakfast!

We stayed here for a few nights on a city break in Lyon. The location is good. Very convenient for the fantastic market hall, Part Dieu station and shopping centre, and public transport links are ok - the tram is about 3 minutes walk and one change onto the metro (at the most dodgy place in the city centre!) and you're in the heart of the old city. The rooms are small but clean, as are the bathrooms, which did get a bit smelly (drains!) but not terrible. Nice friendly staff on reception if you needed anything. Would stay again if in the area. Not many local restaurants open on a Sunday evening so be prepared to plan ahead and travel if you want to eat out somewhere good. Hotel restaurant looked ok but did not eat there.

Perfect location and nice staff but a bit expensive (small room and highly-priced car park)

Not bad, simple, small rooms, once every 3 days room clean up

I would not go back here. It feels like a hostel, they only give you one towel per person and when I asked one more they said no. The blowdryer burns your hand while you use it. Worst of all they gave my colleague the key to another guest’s room and she walked into someone sleeping in the middle of the night when she checked in. So I did not feel safe there and changed hotel after that. Also, my card was charged 10 times for 10 rooms, and since I was there for work I flagged immediately to the travel agency we use because the hotel said it was the agency’s fault, but the agency said it was the hotel’s fault. In any case all the charges went from pending to posted even after I flagged the issue to the hotel. Overall a really bad experience.

The hotel is very well located and the employees are kind. The bad side of it: When I paid with my credit card, the payment terminal displayed an option that said it was the best option for a foreign currency (dollars). I was charged 18 dollars more than the actual rate for that day. I know that additional fees are included, but it was exaggerated. It is the only hotel in France and Italy where such an amount was added to my bill. The cleaning service was not the best. We did not receive coffee or paper cups when the cleaning service arranged our room on the second day, and the towels were very rough.
