A must if you are visiting Lyon. Panoramic view of the city, Roman amphitheaters, Forvières Basilica and some footpaths.

You can walk down the hill through the beautiful rose and orchard gardens. It’s very steep, paved, and there’s stairs that cut through the winding roads. Once out of the garden you can still walk down another very steep set of steps. When entering the garden you can choose to go left to the orchards and right to the roses. We did left and saw beautiful hydrangeas. Nicely covered and cool.

Challenging climb to the top, 500 meters of nice park with Jesus's and Marie's statue. The feeling of climbing is like a path to redemption, with once you reach the top, feels like you find peace somehow !

Great view of Lyon, I would recommend walking up through the park if you are physically able to (its quite a steep climb)

Great little park for meandering up to the Cathedral.Lots of flowers and an excellent view of the city!

Parc des Hauteurs, free to visit, ticks all the boxes you can think of: succulents, primates, wild animals etc. Perfect place for a morning jog.

Very nice park and an excellent view from the top: you cam see the whole urban area and the smaller mountains that are closer to Lyon; it is said that sometimes even Montblanc is visible.Not a very easy climb though 😅

The view was nice but nothing spectacular. And 3€ for the ride with the 'funiculaire' is quite exaggerated, but then again everything is too expensive in Lyon...

I also love le jardin du Rosaire which is nearby, I like to take my time to walk, think, pray... And after, I go to the mess at Fourvière totally ready, in communion and in peace... A magical experience

Very pretty, very steep. I had a thoroughly enjoyable walk down. Nice and shaded and quiet. Feels secluded.
