No AC in our room on the hotest night of the year. The hotel advertises AC but it is not in all rooms. Note to management: Maybe you need to look at your details on Google Maps that states you have AC before you comment on my review! I would not stay here again.

There are things to like and dislike at this hotel. Positives: + Conveniently located opposite of Lyon Old Town, ~5 mins walk through the bridge and you’re in Old Town, where you will find restaurants/bars and the Basilica atop the hill. + Sizeable room with door separating walkway with the bedroom. The room also comes with a kitchen if you cook. + Free flow beverage. Negatives: - Room was a little old and dirty. - Noisy nightlife. At night the bars in the area draw patrons especially if there’s a games night (soccer/rugby). You can definitely hear their yelling. The plus is the windows are noise proof, so if you close the outer window, you won’t hear any sound. The downside of this is, the room then becomes very hot as it’s not airconditioned.

DO NOT STAY HERE. This place is a total dive. No air conditioning, makes the room resemble a sauna. Shoebox size room and rude counter staff. Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Very disappointed with myself for believing the ratings of this hotel and booking a room here. Recommendations in other cities have been great. It is Impossible to sleep due to the heat and when you open the windows (after rearranging the furniture to do so) the noise is too much. Bed was rock hard to make things even worse. Wifi didn't work either and staff didn't know when it would be fixed. We ended up only staying one night out of the four nights paid for. It cost 300 euros to stay the remaining 3 nights at the ibis around the corner. The Ibis is 100% better overall and even has friendly staff. We even got a room with a great view for the same amount I wasted at citadines. Citadines refused to give me any refund on the 3 nights we didn't stay.

This hotel has absolutely ZERO sound proofing. You can hear EVERYTHING such as closing doors, toilets flushing and unfortunately the person above us was moving chairs or furniture at 10pm which was very loud in our room and woke us up again at midnight. This was extremely frustrating. The hotel had friendly and helpful staff and is in a great location with great restaurants within a few minutes walk. The free coffee station was great. The train station is 15 minutes walk. The rooms have been updated but still require a good makeover due to cracks in the walls and damage to the furniture and cosmetic pieces. The curtain had blood stains on it. Unfortunately I would not recommend this hotel despite the great location, we paid over $200 for this room and felt like we should've got better.

The hotel is nice and clean. Unfortunately we stay at the hotel is the hottest day in Lyon which the room does not have air conditioning. However we can borrow the portable aircon second night which is great

IMHO is the best place to stay in Lyon if you are a foodie. Room has a kitchen with 2 burners (no oven tho) and it’s pretty filled with accessories. Even tho is about 15 blocks from downtown (perfect walking distance to know the city) it’s right across the street from Les Halles-Paul Bocuse. Staff is very professional, rooms are huge, breakfast is more than ok. Will visit on my next trip to Lyon

Excellent place to stay for the price and facilities. Was pleased with the location - 15 mins walk from the station, 10 mins from the river, although a little further from the centre (Google didn't seem to show bus connections [found bus/metro leaflet after] so we ended up walking 30 mins to old town). The area is pretty quiet too, which was good. The room was comfortable and spacious enough for two, with large, comfy beds and pillows. There are decent cooking facilities for if you want to cook something. I'd definitely stay here again if/when I come back.

Clean hotel, with all you need. It has nice loby, and breakfast included. Room is nice, whole kitchen is available. Shower is available from bed and big wardrobe is right behind door. Hotel is located in center and quiet area with playing area for children. Quite ok for the value.

I stayed there for 3 nights. The room was comfortable but the staff were a bit old. The basin was in separate room from the rest wc (i dont know why). Furthermore it was nit well supported. Shampoo and shower gel, even though were small sample size, were used. The rooms are not equipped with air-condition. The breakfast was ok. I dont recommend this hotel for this money level

This is a very special place indeed. Enjoyed 4 days there. Staff could not have been more helpful and were willing to just that little bit further when requests were made. Faulty fan was replaced within 10 minutes of reporting. Room was beautifully clean and beds very comfortable....Highly recommended.

1 receptionist was vile to my companion and charming to me!?!?! Room felt very cramped with barely space to walk around the bed. Nice location close to several markets and an easy walk to the river. Overall ok but wouldn't rush back there.
